Intellectual thoughts.. 👏 👏 👏 👏
Spain, I always have always been proud and happy ot be human, inspite of the problems and dreadful deeds by fellow humans..
Being a human, i am proud that I can poitn out the mistakes of others and defend for the human kind and also the other lives...
I just want to acheive something, so that i get contented that there is some meaning to my life... Sure, one day I will do that...

I admire all of you, dinesh, spain, sue and meena, for voicing your thoughts so succinctly. Your words have moved me this morning and made me sit and think, which is something the animals don't do! However, I do want to mention something - last year, I was out walking when I tripped and hit my face on the concrete. My nose was broken and I was bleeding everywhere. Two dogs from the adjoining houses came up to the fence and were barking their heads off. This went on for at least five minutes but no one stuck their heads out to see why the dogs were barking the way they did. Finally, I managed to get up and walk across the street to a house whose occupants took me home so I could go and get my injuries tended. All i was trying to say was that the dogs sensed that I was in trouble, but the owners did not realize that there was a message behind the barking.

Eljay, the barking of the dogs may well have been a manifestation of their pain at seeing you in pain.
Spain, touching poems -- both yours and that of the terminally ill child.
Satish, for the sensitive and sensible person you are, you should be behind the cameras, directing more serials rather than acting in shallow roles. I hope you land more directing opportunities.
Have a good weekend all

The owners surely would have wondered why the dogs were making so much of noise....but then some selfish humans would have chosen to ignore seeing a lady in distress...in that sense animals are far more superior to man. My doggie waits for me daily in the evenings at the right time (not that it carries a watch). 😉 It restlessly paces to and fro looking out for me...the moment I arrive it makes so much of excited noise that the whole household is aware of my arrival.....its so grateful for the food we give followed by a couple of loving pats, hugs and long walks ...thats all what it looks forward to...our undying love.❤️ The dog is surely a man's best friend..!!...😃

b'coz I share similar thoughts with you.
If you want to live in the animal kingdom.....
Go for it!
But let me tell you the grass only appears to be greener on the other side. Animals act purely from instinct. Humans have the ability to reason and to make decisions not based on instincts.

Animals quite often do kill each other in fights, and it is a natural instinct for them to pick on members of the same species who are weaker than they are. it is natural for the strong to dominate the weak.

And while animals may not have nucleur warheads or electric chairs, neither do they have hospitals where they can cure the sick, or homes where old people can be looked after, or orphanages, or help for people who are sick or disabled or handicapped in any way. nature is pitiless, and has no compassion for the weak or the sick or the disabled. 'Might is right' is the law in the animal world.
Humans have a capacity to do great harm, and also a capacity to do great good. No animal could have discovered penicillin or invented immunisations or blood banks, or plumbing or central heating or dentistry or any of the other things that make our lives more comfortable or agreeable.

Nobody can tell what a dog is saying (if anything) when it barks. You can tell the mood of a dog (angry, happy, sad), but you can't identify any coherent language. if there is one, it remains a mystery.

The instinct to kill is an animal instict, and human beings are at their worst when they give in to their animal instincts. They are at their best when they rise above them.
Dear, if you are proud to be a female....be proud to be a human....
because if you were an animal....
you cannot speak out your thoughts and you would easily be victimised for being the "weaker species".....
and all the other animals would move with the herd while you struggle to move along....
No male elephant is going to move his butt so that you can have a place to sit....
and no male pig is going to open the door for you....
and not even the strongest bull will be willing to make a lifetime commitment with you.....
If you say bluntly that females are better, stronger, more graceful and smarter than males....
it's only because we are humans, and not animals.
And hey....if you still want to join the animal club....be my guest!
I've got to get back to the hospital to deal with sick humans....
you can continue this great discussion with satish....
I'm sure he'll be more than happy to break his head over your thoughts!
Have a great day, sue!

Thanks Dr. Spain....but alas...I do not fit into the animal kingdom in this life time perhaps the next time around when I am re-born not as the animals you hve mentioned but as a little "songstress of the night" and our dear Satish as a little dried leaf..😉..
Btw chivalry is long dead amongst some men (esp. Asians)....they got heavier butts then the elephants which refuses to budge an inch..!!😆 You too have a pleasant day at the hospital.👏

And here's a poem for ALL of you to read....

for those who regularly post messages here....
and for all those silent readers out there.....
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask "How are you?"
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say "Hi"?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a New York Hospital.
The girl is no more.
But we are still here.
And so I just thought of sharing her poem with you.....
Have a beautiful day.....

Its beautiful and thanks for sharing it with us. I have done almost everything as mentioned in this lovely poem...😛...sometimes I wish I could put the clock back and rectify some of the wrongs I have done....😊 May the good Lord bless the little girl's soul....amen..!!

hi sue,
sorry, i missed the bit where u mentioned u wanted to be a nightingale....
and i was trying really hard to figure out why satish wanted to be a little dried leaf.....😳
I was speeding my way through all the posts....without actually analysing all of your thoughts.....but I've gone back and read all your posts carefully now....
Being a nightingale isn't such a bad idea....esp when everyone would want to stay awake in the night....just to listen to your beautiful voice.😛
But I've got an interesting bit of info for you. There is another bird - the parrot...which not only has the capacity to mimic sounds like humans, but can even dance like humans too! Scientists have observed that an African grey parrot can dance to an external beat of drums by dancing, ducking, and bobbing his head in time to the music. This is a real discovery for scientists...as now doctors have come to realize that people suffering from Parkinsons disease (who cannot control their movement or speech - and unfortunately, there is no cure)...can move and even sing with the aid of music. This wouldn't have been possible without the observation of parrots dancing to the beat of music.
Now isn't it strange that we humans want to live the life of a bird....while they not only mimic us but they are actually helping us too!👍🏼

hi satish,
I'm a big fan of yours.
Not only of your acting, but of your words and poems too.
I think you underestimate your talent....if only you could see yourself from someone else's eyes. I'm sure even the dried leaf would envy you...for you have done so much good in this lifetime without even realising it.....
I wonder why people believe emotions are a bad influence for humans. Somehow nobody wants to feel pain, grief or sadness. But if you have ever truly loved someone....and you have hurt them deeply, maybe even unintentionally....you would feel the happiest soul in the world when you have been forgiven by them. The greatest gift you can give someone is not to love them....but to forgive them and love them for their imperfections.
Emotions are not such a bad part of human life afterall....
And to all the others, thanks for your thoughtful words....
they literally brightened up my weekend....😳
Cheers!

dear spain(kindred spirit),
read and solve
William Shakespeare - All the world's a stage (from As You Like It 2/7)
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,

father forgive me for i have sinned
for i have questioned your authority
by asking these simple questions
who am i,why do i exist
for when you have given me everything
i still want for more
for i know you make me feel special
with fame and fortune
yet i want more, more of peace and solitude
as a son, friend, love and husband and a so so
decent countryman i have tried to play your parts
which you have bestowed on me
yet i am sad and lonely
holding stage among my peers
performing before thousands
i still want that which seems to elude my grasp
what is that something for in your infinite wisdom
you showed me life and how to want and live
but then you showed me the door to death and parting
you gave me a heart to live and love and be loved
but you never gave me the strength to face life when they
were taken away.
people tell me that is the way of life
and we should not question that which is beyond our comprehension
why then give us the will to choose and live
why then take it all away.
prime of youth i feel i am ready to give it all up
and lay down and die.
