Part 9 :

Raji let him to think for a week and then during the weekend, Raji made Sara to sleep and comes to the hall and begins a conversation.

'enna Karthik decide pannirukka ?', Raji

'adhu vandhu..' he maintains silence..

'Ok then.. Whatever is your decision.. Let me tell mine.', Raji

' ava vera yengayaavadhu un kankaanippula irundhaalum sari... illa namma veetlaye irundhaalum ok dhaan..' she continues..

'Raji'

'let me complete Karthik.. idhu rendula nee enna decide pannaalum ok... but naan solra onna mattum senjaa podhum..' she gives a pause..

He gives a puzzled look..

'onnum perusaa illa... Angel kazhuthula nee kattuna thaali ya ava kazhatti tharanum..', Raji..

Karthik thought it would be something else but didn't expect Raji to say this...

Only then, as he supposes, he felt there is nothing wrong in Raji wanting that, as a married woman she might feel unsafe about it..

'enna solra.. ?' , Raji..

'I can understand you Raji.. But idhula naan solla enna irukku... ava dhaan pannanum.. ', he replies..

'So.. unakku prechana illa..', Raji

'aanaa adhukku, ippo ava enga irukkaa nu theriyanume..' , Karthik..

They tried searching her where she stayed already and also the daycare center where she was working, but couldn't pick up the details..

Barely came to recognize that she gave up the job and vacated the space.. Even her number is not in use..

Then, somehow Raji was ok with as there is no sign of Angel anywhere around them..

But, a little bit worried as it may come anytime later..

In a few days, everything got settled and both back to their normal routine of work.. But still, Angel's existence was itching in the niche of their hearts..

For Raji, it was like she shouldn't come into their lives as a problem, whereas Karthik wished her to be safe somewhere..

But the problem came in another way..

Karthik gets a call from his mother and got to know that they are in Chennai .

'yen maa inga vandhadha enkitta sollala? ' Karthik

'naanga modhalla unna paarkka un veettukku dhaan vandhom.. edho periya argument poyittu irundha maadhiri therinjadhu... adhaan, vaasalodave kelambittom', she replies..

'sari.. ippo enga irukkeenga? ', he asks..

His Mom says that they stay in their old house only and he says he will visit in the evening after office hours..

At office :

Raji meets Vishnu and tells him that he too has hidden the matter which is an important matter in her life..

Vishnu was confused at first, but when Raji mentioned Angel's name, he was clear that she is talking about the marriage..

But he played clear here that he didn't open his mouth and made Raji to say what it is.,

'neenga kooda enkitta marachitteenga Vishnu.. appo naan unga friend illayaa? Karthik, Angel mattum dhaan friend ah? ', she questions Vishnu..

'appadi illa Raji.. ungalukku adhu therinjaa kashttamaa irukkum... adhuvum illaama, adhu serious kalyanam laam illa... ' he tries to justify it..

'enna Vishnu.. onnume theriyaadha maadhiri pesureenga? ', Raji..

'ennaachu Raji.. ippo edhaachum prechanai yaa? ', he shows his concern..

Raji then briefs about Angel's return and what went on between them thus far..

Vishnu couldn't believe this as Karthik didn't open up a single word about it..

'unga kittaye marachirukkaan naa.. idhu ennamo sariyaa padala..' , she is much worried now..

After 2 weeks :

Vishnu comes to know that Raji has requested for on-site assignment and that it is mostly confirmed that she would travel to Australia in a few days as she already have all things set up.

He doubts if Karthik is aware of this as they were not like before in talking terms..

He then calls him (as they are in different branch offices) and ask about Raji's travel.. and got to know that it is a news for Karthik now..

He then comforts him saying, he has to talk with Raji open heartedly and settle down..

Karthik was mood out as Raji didn't tell him the plan.. He then called Vishnu and told that he might not join the conference call scheduled in the evening and that he is leaving office then..

At home : around 8 pm

Sara was crying badly uttering 'Daddy.. Daddy..' and Raji couldn't stop her..

On irritation, Raji calls Karthik's mobile but it goes full ring but unanswered..

She then reaches Vishnu in his mobile and asked if he knows where Karthik went and also how Sara is wanting for him..

Vishnu said that Karthik left early and that he has gone to see his parents ..

Confused Raji asks, 'Bangalore ka? '

'Chennai la dhaane irukkaanga..', he says..

'enna Vishnu solreenga ? Chennai la yaa?, Raji..

'ayyo.. naane vaayakuduthu maattikittenaa? ' he talks to himself..

'adhu onnum illa Raji', Vishnu...

'Vishnu.. neenga enna friend nu nenachaa.. maraikkaama sollunga'

He then says that Karthik's parents are here in Chennai for quite some time.. and that they are staying in their old house..

Raji then takes her two-wheeler and get to that place and proceeds on to look for him..

It's Karthik's mother who opens the door when she rang the bell..

'Karthik... ?' she asks... 'inga vandhaanaa? '

'appadi nu yaarum inga illa..', she tries to cut it off..

While these two were talking, in comes Angel back from her work..

Both look at each other and stand still...

'nee ulla vaa maa.. poi fresh aayittu vaa... coffee tharren', his mother says while Raji looks upon...

Angel worried that Raji came to know where she is staying...

'ennamaa paakura? Karthik ah thedi vandhirukkaa.. inga irukkaanaa nu' , she explains..

'Karthik inga eppadi.. ?' Angel thinks..

'chummaa ellaarum nadikkaadheenga.. I know he is here only', she is firm..

'nijamaa Raji.., naanga inga irukkuradhe avanukku theriyaadhe..', its Angel..

Raji doesn't want to stay there long and she turned back to leave..

She then hears Karthik's coughing sound..

Angel who was locking the door also hears it and got shocked and looks upon his parents..

Next Day :

Late in the morning.. Karthik comes to their home..

He himself goes near Raji and says.. 'nethu work romba jaasthi.. adhaan office la ye thoongitten'

Raji gives a stare and says , 'maraikkudhu mattum illaama, poi kooda solla aarambichitta la Karthik? '

Karthi : what?

Raji : nee enga irundha nu enakku theriyum... unga ammaa veetla dhaane?

He is silent..

(I feel dialogue mode will help from this point as it is more of conversation part)

Raji : kooda yaarlaam irundhaanga num enakku theriyum... nee ulla irukkumbodhe, anga illa nu solraa..

Karthi : Raji enna nadandhadhu nu theriyaama pesaadha... nejamaave avalukku naan anga irundhadhu theriyaadhu..., adhemaadhiri ava anga thangi irukkuradhum enakku theriyaadhu...

Raji : nambura maadhiri sollu.. un ammaa appaa inga irukkaanga nu unakku eppa theriyum?

Karthi : konja naal munnaadi.. avanga dhaan phone pannaanga

Raji : sari.. adha yen nee enkitta maraikkanum?

Karthi : maraikanum nu illa.. sollanum nu thonala.. nee edhuvum enkitta maraikkaadha maadhiri pesura..

Raji : what do you mean?

Karthi : on-site travel ku preparation poittu irukku pola..

Raji : yaaru... Vishnu sonnaaraa?

Karthi : ippa adhu mukkiyam illa

Raji : aamaa.. naanum Sara vum poga yerpaadu pannittu irukken... pondaatti kitta unmai ya solla yosikkuravan kooda poliyaa vaazhradhukku..konja naal thaniyaa irukkalaam nu

Karthi : indha vishayam kelvi pattu mood out aagi dhaan., ammaa va paakka ponen.,, romba thalavali yaa irundhuchu nu tablet pottu paduthen... kaalaila dhaan enakku vishayame theriyum, Angel um anga irukkaa nu
naan anga irukkuradhum avalukku theriyaadhu... apparam satham kettu dhaan vandhu paarthen nu sonnaa...

Raji : nallaa kadha solra Karthik...

Karthi : idhaan nadandhuchu.. namburadhu un ishttam..

Raji : so.. nee ippodhaan avangala first time paakka poniyaa?

Karthi : illa.. munnadi rendu dhadava ponen.. Sara va paathukka aal thedanum la... ammaa appaa irukkum bodhu yen velila thedanum.. avangale paathuppaangala... adhu vishayamaa pesavum dhaan ponen..

Raji : eppadi.. ? daily anga poi vittuttu appram koopttu varanum... illa? avanga inga varra maattaanga.. yennaa unga naan irukken la...

Karthi : appadi laam edhuvum pesala.. neeya karpanai pannaadha...

Raji : sari ok.. andha topic ah vidu... idha sollu...

Karthi : appo daytime naala, ava veetla illa.. avangalum edhuvum sollala... ippodhaan eppadi onnaa irukkaanga nu sonnaanga...

He then recounts what his parents told about Angel..

It is on the day when Karthik told that Angel is his wife.. Karthik's parents who once heard about Angel is with Karthik through Sumathi family, they thought of visiting his place..

When they were about to go in, they saw Angel moving out of the house..

As they suspected something wrong, they followed her without any clues and reached the place where she went..

She had plans to vacate the place and move from the city..

It's Karthik's parents who convinced her to stay with them and it won't be let out..

Moreover, this place was quite far away from their home..

Raji : nee enna sonnaalum, ennaala nee ava irukkura veetla thangunadha yethukka mudiyala..

Karthi : naan dhaan sonnen la.. tablet pottu thoongitten nu..

Raji : evening pottadhu kaalaila varaikkum ezhundhirukkala... hmmm? unmaiya othukko karthik.. orey veettla irundhuttu,.. onnume theriyaadhu nu kadhai solra... yaarukku theriyum... neenga orey room la kooda irundhirukalaam..

Karthi : Stop it Raji... (he fumes in anger) enna pesurom nu therinju pesu...

Raji : naan therinju dhaan pesuren... unmaiya sonnaa kovam varudhaa?

Karthi : aamaa orey room la dhaan irundhom.. (he says in frustration)

Raji : ippadi solla unakku vetkamaa illa..

Karthi : yen? sollapponaa purushan pondaatti orey room la irukkuradhula enna thappu?

Raji didn't expect these words from him..

Raji : ndha maadhiri edhaavadhu nadakkum nu dhaan naan bayappatten..

Only then he realized what he spoke...

Karthi : Raji... I'm sorry I didn't mean it... nee purinjukkaama kovapaduthuna... adhaan.. vai thavari...

Raji : eppadi nee appadi sollalaam...?

Karthi : naandhaan sorry sollitten la..

Raji : sari... if you really didn't mean it... naan sonnadha ippo seiyya mudiyumaa ?

Karthi : enna ?

Raji : ennavaa ? adhukkulla marandhuttiyaa ? appo Angel enga ponaa nu theriyaadhadhaala vittutten... ippadhaan theriyume.. thaaliya kazhatta...

Before she completes.,

Karthi : Raji.. avadhaan sentiment kaaga pottirukken nu solraa la..?

Raji : indha kaalathula namba mudiyaadhu Karthik... ennaikku irundhaalum adhu enakku prechana dhaan...

Karthi : so ?

Raji : enakku adha mattum kodukka sollu... vera edhuvum vendaam.. solla koodaadhu dhaan... but... ava Christian dhaane.. ? avlo enna thaali sentiment.. ippa ellaarum modern aayitte varraangale.. ?

Karthi : aamaa... kann edhura ye nee irukkiye.. venum bodhu thaali kazhatti vachittu apparamaa eduthu pottukura aal dhaane nee...

Raji : Karthik..

Karthi : unmai dhaane ?

Raji : sari appadi ye vachukko... naan dhaan kazhatti pottirukkene... unakku edhaavadhu aachaa sollu ?

Karthi : adhu... avaloda thaali yoda effect..

Raji : podhum Karthik... eppo nee indha alavukku avalukkaaga pesuriyo... inimel pesi projanam illa...

saying so she goes inside ...

Two days before her travel..

Laksh :Raji... aanaalum nee innum konjam yosichirukkalaam...

Raji : inga irundhaalum thaniyaa dhaan irukkanum... adhukku naan enga irundhaa enna ?

Laksh :hmm.. sari vera enna vela pending irukku..

Raji : travel ku munnadi.. Karthik kitta sila papers la sign vaanganum..

Laksh :hey ennadi solra? temporary pirivu nu la nenachen.. divorce paper ah?

Raji : No no..

Laksh :habbaa...

Raji : wait wait.. adhukku inga idame illa

Laksh :enna solra nee?

Raji : avanga kanakku padi, Angel dhaane avanoda first wife.. ippo engalukku divorce laam applicable ah ne theriyala... edhukku adha arraanjukittu... free yaa vidu

Laksh :Don't think too much Raji.. I feel something good will happen.. short term assignment dhaane? nee poittu varradhukkulla some changes irukkalaam..

Raji : unnoda hope ah naan kedukka virumbala... but I don't think anything will change... chummaa ottu illaama orey veetla kadamaikke nu vaazhanumaa? '

Laksh :ok ok.. dont get emotional.. Relax... nee aagavendiya velaiya paaru..

Raji : hmmm.. first Karthik veettukku poittu, then I have to come back..

Laksh :avan ammaa kitta poittaanaa?

Raji : actually... naan dhaan velila poradhaa irundhen... avan enna irukka sollittu., venum naa, naan poren nu sollittu poittaan..

Raji then starts her vehicle and heads towards his place..
