part 2

Karthik's POV

Karthik walked towards the car with a huge smile on his face...he doesn't mind the weird look of others...he couldn't control him grinning ear to ear...his heart rejoicing...he felt like a teenager again...

Suddenly he jumped and twirled in air with a shriek ...

"Yes... I love her..."

He smiled at his silly behavior but he liked it with whole heartily..

He was wondering within a short span of time how much his life has been changed...

All the events happened from the morning stretched in his mind like a movie...

Morning 7 in Karthik's home...

"Dai karthik indha ponnu photo vai yaavadhu paarudaa..."his father was pleading him..

But he was paying no heed to his plea.. reading the magazine showing great interest in it...

"Sari vidunga.. paarkaatti poraan...ava yennamo oorla illaadha perazhagi maadhiri oru maasamaa ippa ..appa nu solli izhuthadikaraanga..."his mother showed her frustration clearly..

The uninterested tone of his mother had caught his attention..

Her mother was hell bent on getting him married but if she was not showing interest means definitely something fishy here..his seventh sense alerted his mind..

"Appaa ..ammaavukku yennamo aagiduchi seekiram doctor ah paarunga.."

He said with the serious look but winked in the end at his father...

Both father and son laughed out loud...his mom glared at them...

"Naan unamiya dhaan daa solren..unnoda photo kuduthu oru maasam aagudhu..but yeppa ketaalum innum oru vaaram pogattum ..nu time sollite irukaanga...yennamo ippa dhaan manasu vandhu andha ponnoda photo va kuduthu vittirukaanga..paarkka ok vaa dhaan irukaa..aanaalum ivlo bandhaa koodaadhu.."His mother twisted her lips bitterly..

"Ava yenna avlo azhagaa..?yeppadi than irukaanu paarpome..."Karthik got curious...

"Yennanga... vendaamnu sollidunga..naama vera ponnu paarpom..appadi illainaa..irukkave irukaa..yennoda annan ponnu Sembaruthi..avala nichayam pannidalaam yennadaa karthi solra..."

His mother tried to trap him...

"Hey.. chumaa irudi un paiyan mattum yenna salaichavanaa...? yethanai ponnungala paarkaamale reject panni irupaan...yenakku yennamo indha ponnu sariyaa varum nu thonudhu..."dad said with confidence...

"Idha paaru karthik..ponnoda appaa ippa dhaan phone pannaaru ponnu kodaikaanal ku poraalaam ava vandha piragu ponnu paarkalaam nu sonnaaru..."

"Hello... niruthunga inga yaarukku kalyaanam? neenga laa pesi mudivu panreenga ..?unga ishtathukku mudivu panna idhu onnum yennoda "kaadhu kuthu" illai.. "kalyaanam" ..naan dhaan mudivu pannu ven..."karthik showed his authority..

"Adhellaam mudiyaadhu paa...naan oorukku poittu vandhaa romba busy aagiduven... so ponnu parka mudiyaadhunu sollidunga.."he said with finality..

"Appadi solludaa yen raja...paarunga yen paiyan yennoda katchi dhaan.." Mom raised her invisible collar...

"Sari daa..neeyum kodaikaanal pora..andha ponnum anga dhaan poraanu avanga appaa sonnaaru..neenga angaiye meet panna arrange panren ..yenna solra?" dad was finding ways to get things work out..

"Idhukkaavadhu othukodaa.."he looked at him with hopeful eyes..

After thinking for a moment..he said..

"Sari try panren but I can't give guarantee paa..."

"Ok daa... naan pesittu solren... sari nee ponnu photo va oru murai paaru.." Dad had left leaving the photo on the table..

He looked the photo at the corner of his eyes...suddenly her mother came in between him and the photo as if hiding the photo from his vision..

"Kannaa.. nee ponna paarthuttu pudikalainnu sollidudaa.."His mother ensured him..and left..

He smiled at his mother's childishness...and concentrated on the magazine in hand...

But his eyes were attracted to the photo placed on the table..he tried very hard to not to look at the picture..

But finally his curiosity took over his ego and he picked up the photo in his hand...

The girl looked pretty in blue saree..it might be taken in some marriage function he had guessed ..

Her flawless face..the cute smile was beautiful ..but more than that her twinkling , innocence in her eyes attracted him so much..

He turned the photo and read about her details written at the back ..

"Rajalakshmi Alice Raji..mmm Raji nice name.."

A loud blow of horn broke his thought ..he shouted from inside..

"Irunga daa varen..."

While he was travelling also those two beautiful black eyes crossed his mind frequently...

It was not like that he was always thinking of her but involuntarily at unexpected times her face flashed in his mind..which brings a sweet smile to his lips..

His friend Vishnu who was driving the car was constantly blabbering.. but karthik paid no heed to him...

Without getting any response from his friend Vishnu turned to his side to check what happened to him...

When he had seen the shy smile on his face he had started bugging him for the reason behind that...

Eventually other friends also got involved in teasing karthik..on that time...one sudden moment Vishnu lost his concentration on road and karthik shouted at him..

"Dai Vishnu careful ..."Vishnu applied full brake instantly and turned the steering to the right to avoid collision..Even though he couldn't avoid the slight friction ...since he had reduced the speed considerably, it would settled down with their car bumper hitting the rear side of the other car..

"Yenna daa.. paarthu ottakoodaadha.."karthik taunted him

"Dai illaidaa avanga sudden brake pottutaanga..."Vishnu gave some excuse..

"Sari vaa poi paarkalaam andha vandi kku yenna aachi nnu.".

Fortunately nobody were seated at the back side..

karthik had found only the driver was in the car..and that too was lady.

Her face couldn't visible to him clearly ...she got down from the car and had checked what happen to her car..after watching the crushed back side she angrily marched towards them...

Karthik was stunned and he pinched himself to confirm whether it's a reality...?

He was dumb struck and watching her blasting on them..

"How bold she is..ippadi left and right vaangaraale..."he was astonished ..

Then she asked who was the driver..suddenly a weird thought came to his mind and he came forward and declared himself as the driver..

Then she started scolding him for his irresponsible behavior...

Vishnu tried to talk in between but karthik pressed his hand and stopped him...and he eyed him to clear the place..

Vishnu was like a second shadow for Karthik.. he could even read his mind so he instantly understood his signal and left with his friends..

Now they were alone in the road..he could see the startled face of her ..but to his surprise she composed herself quickly..and started planning what next..

He couldn't stop himself from admiring her boldness and presence of mind...

She was such a chatter box throughout the journey and kept on lecturing about his poor driving skill..

At first he was annoyed but then he got used to it..Actually he had started liking her cribbing...

She was very talkative person totally opposite to him but exactly the same like his mother..the thought itself brought smile to him...

They reached the service station but it was closed...her face was totally in frustration and he turned to the other side to hid his smile..

She was making calls and sending mails and busily doing things and he had nothing to do but enjoying the whole drama like a spectator..

Mean time his friends called him and they were giving tough time to him by pulling his legs..

While she asked for 15 thousand..he very well new that she was trying the negotiation method..

So he decided to play along with her...but definitely he would say she was a good negotiator.

He had decided to tell the truth there itself but his mind said "NO"..since he wanted to learn more about her..

Then it was decided that they will go to her friend's house...

In hotel while she was having ice cream with a child like antics ..he was attracted to her..he couldn't control his eyes drooling those wet pink lips...

But she thought he was longing for the ice cream and she ordered one for him..

There he realized that she was not that rough and tough natured girl as she portrayed herself to be..actually she was kind and sweet inside..

After finishing the lunch...he went to the wash room..when he came back he had seen her searching for something...

When he asked her "polaamaa madam" she had literally jumped in shock..

"Naan oodi poi irupennu nenaichirupaalo?"he smiled inwardly and enjoyed her restlessness and guilt feeling for suspecting him...

But later for the first time he felt like cheating her ...

The feel of guilt seeded in his mind strongly...when he looked at her thoughtfully...he had seen her banged her leg on the stone and was about to fall he reacted instantly and caught her in his arms before she fell down... seeing her bleeding he got so emotional and forgot his state and taunted her for her carelessness..

But when he had seen her teary eyes..he felt like cocoon her in his harms to comfort her..he was startled with the force of those emotions..with so much of difficulty he controlled his hands..but he wanted to take away all her pain as soon as possible ..so he rushed her to the hospital

After admitting her to the hands of the doctor only his heart got its peace...

While he was looking at the medicines written on the prescription...she took that as his hesitation and offered him money...that incident banged the alarm in his head...that very moment he very much wanted to tell the truth to her but that was not the right place and the time as she needed medical attention immediately..

While he was waiting anxiously for her return.. his mom called him ..that babbler mouth Vishnu had leaked out something to her and she was on his heads to know what he was upto...at last he had convinced her with a reliable lie and lots of sweet talks..

But He very well knew his mom wouldn't spare him that easily...

Finally he has seen her coming near the car so he cut the call immediately..saying his usual bye to his mom..

But the shock in her face confused him...then he understood she was thinking that was his girl friend...

He couldn't control his heart jumping in joy seeing a tint of jealousy in her eyes while enquiring about the caller..

When he told her that was his mom... The relief in her face he had seen was priceless...

Then they started their journey towards lakshmi's house...

The silence in the car for so long had surprised him ...

he turned to her side and watched her sleeping like a small nave innocent child...

His heart chided him.. "oh god..,how much she would have trusted me,that she was sleeping peacefully..even though travelling with a stranger...naan yenna pannitu iruken..i am cheating her... "

The logics which he felt right before hiding his identity to her had now seemed utter foolishness him...

How to tell the truth to her..?he didn't have any clue how will she react to it...

After knowing the truth ..What if she hates me?..His heart was thudding fastly with the thought of her hating him...

Throughout the journey he was debating to himself whether to tell the truth now or not...

At the end of the journey he was sure that he had fallen for her..so he was even more scared to reveal the truth dreading about the consequences..

He was sitting at the back yard of her friend's house..it was such a beautiful sight to watch but his mind registered nothing...

All his thoughts were revolving around only one thing that was how to reveal the truth without hurting her feelings...

After a while he felt the presence of her near him...his heart beats faster than ever...

When he was about to open his mouth...she asked

"Neenga yenna padichirukeenga..?"

He didn't know why she asked that question..but his mind registered that she was referring him with "neenga "instead of "nee" for the first time...

It showed he had gained a good place in her heart...

His mission seemed even more difficult for him after clearly finding her interest in him ..

When he gathered all his courage to tell the truth...his phone buzzed...and that was the time to leave...

He was more restless now...he didn't want to leave without revealing his identity...but his mouth had been tied seeing her care and concern for him ...

The look on her eyes while he was leaving was enough for him to realize her feeling for him...

At that moment he had decided to cherish the moment ..he doesn't want to lose that special feeling ...so he parted as a stranger to her...enjoying the lovely time they had been together...
