His wavering eyes transfixed to the pair of angry red eyes...

And a jitter passed through him by seeing Raji's father stared at him from the distance...

For a moment his heart skipped its beat and then started beating rapidly..he hurriedly made her to sit in a nearby chair...

Raji's father seems coming to their side with an unfathomable look on his face...

Karthik stared at him with wide eyes..expecting him to blast at him...but his savior came in the form of a relative who stopped Raji's father in mid and started talking to him...then they went towards the dining hall...

Karthik sighed in relief..

"uuufff.."

Then his eyes roamed around the crowd and spotted his friends..and eyed them to come there...

"Yenna aachi Karthik..?"Lakshmi asked in confusion..seeing the strange smile on Raji's face...

"Don't know Lakshmi...she seems little tipsy.."

"What?" VL both asked in shock...

"But how..?Raji yeppadi.ippadi.?" Lakshmi had stuttered...

"Adhaan naanum kettutu irundhen...Raji kitta...neenga konjam kettu paarunga Lakshmi.."Karthik asked her to take the lead..

Lakshmi nodded her head and sat besides Raji..

"Raji yenna saapta kadaisiyaa?"

Raji smiled at Lakshmi in a weird way..and pointed her finger towards Karthik...

"Karthik dhan juice kuduthaan..adhai saaptadhula irundhu..yenakku appadiye vaanathula medhakkara maadhiri irukku..u know it's very nice feeling Lakshmi..u must it try once...Karthik andha juice innum oru bottle vaangu pls..."

"Iyayooo...andha juice ah yendaa avangalukku kudutha...adhula naan vodka mix panni irundhen.. ? Vishnu shouted in shock..

Karthik slammed his forehead in frustration..and glared at Vishnu in rage...

"Full aa kudichitaangalaa daa..." Vishnu asked a puppy face...

Karthik gave him a deathly.. "Magane nee senja kaariyathukku ...Raji ku mattum yedhaavdhu aachi...nee setha daa..."he said between his gritted teeth..

"Vishnu unakku arrive illaidaa...Karthik kitta solli irukka vendiyadhu dhaane ..yendaa ippadi panna?"

"sonnaa avan adipaan Lakshmi adhaan sollaama vachirundhen.." Vishnu said with grumpy face..

"Ippa maatum unnai konjuvennu nenaipaa...veliya vaadi unakku irukku.." he scowled at him in anger...

"Sari sandai podaadheenga..ippa Raji ya yeppadi manage panna porom adhai yosinga..yaarukaavadhu therinjaa romba problem aagidum.." Lakshmi alerted them..

KV nodded their heads in affirmation..

And looked in Raji's direction but the chair was empty...

All three got baffled and scanned the whole area ..Finally Karthik had seen her going towards dining hall..

He rushed in that direction..after reaching her he stopped her by grabbing her hand..

"Raji nillu yenga pora..?"

She grinned at him and said..

"yennoda sister marriage Karthik..naan pandhi visaaranai panna vendaamaa...?"she said casually...

"Indha nelamaila pandhi visaaranai onnu dhaan kuraichal..."he muttered in exasperation ..

"Pls Raji.. sonnaa kelu yennoda vaa..anga poi ukkaara laam.."he tried to usher her outside..but she wiggled her hands out of his grip...

"Po daa nee romba mosam..yen kaiya ivlo azhuthamaa pidikara...valikkudhu theriyumaa..po un kooda pesa maaten.. kaa..."

She moved away from him ..

He tried to hold her again without appearing more obvious to others.. but at the same time many people entered the hall so he couldn't able to stop her..

With no other option left he followed her sending quick prayer to almighty..

"Kaduvule yendha prachanai yum varaama kaapaathu paa..."

Raji went in fast pace..Karthik also closely followed her matching his strides to her's..

She talked to every next person coming her way with so much amusement and exhilaration...having been showered by many surprised brows lift...

Suddenly she halted ..as he followed her closely he bumped on to her..

"Ouchhh..."

She went near the lady who was having dinner...and hugged her tightly...

"Athai yeppadi irukeenga...paarthu yevlo naal aachi...ungala naan romba miss panninen athai.." Raji parted herself from her and looked at her from top to bottom..

And hugged her again "Yenna athai ippadi izhaichi poiteenga..."

Karthik was shocked to hear her comment on a jumbo size aunty .. It seemed that aunty also was in a kind of shock..

"Idhu izhaichi poradhaa?appo idhukku munaadi..."he felt like his head was spinning..

He shook his head lightly to come out of his illusion.. ..and later he recognized that it was the same lady who had bad mouthed about Raji...

"Iyoo indha Raji..ippadi over act panni maatipaa pola irukke..kadavule pls help.."

"Athai indhaanga..innum oru jaangiri vachikonga..indhaanga chilly gobi...ungalukku pidikkum illaiyaa? saapidunga athai..neenga dhaan indha kalyaanathukaaga odi aadi veli senjirupeengannu nenaikaren adhaan ippadi thurumbaa izhaichiteenga..nallaa saapidunga.."Raji showed her over concern...

That athai ammaa was dumb founded and gapped at her with open mouth..

Karthik ushered Raji... "Shhh Raji...vaa polaam..."

"Iru karthik..ivanga yaaru theriyumaa.. yennoda athai..yenakku ammaa maadhiri..yevlo nallavanga theriyumaa..yengalai sondha ponnunga maadhiri paarthupaanga.." she praised her with amusement..

"Yenga rendu peraiyum serthu photo yedu Karthik.." she sat beside her and kept her cheek over her's and posed with a huge cheese..

Karthik was astonished to see her buffoonery act..And took the picture with lopsided smirk..

That athai ammaa has got tears in her eyes..seeing Raji's affection..

"Yen thangam vaadi maa..yepapdi irukka?unnai poi naan thappaa pesitaene..yen chellam...rajathi..un manasukku nee nallaa iruppa di maa.." she greeted her with teary eyes..

All of a sudden Raji went to the other side so karthik couldn't caught hold of her in time..

She spotted sounder and rushed to him

"Soundharrr..."she hugged him with a shriek..

Karthik looked at the them in utter shock..his eyes widened and his mouth opened with a gasp..

Soundhar was first baffled but then he too reciprocated the hug with a smile..

"Hi Raji ..yeppaid irukka?"

Karthik's blood boiled in his veins by the sight of him hugging his Raji..

He glared at him in rage..and waited impatiently for them to part..

But Raji was nowhere seemed to be breaking the hug..

"Omg...this stupid woman is testing my patience too much..." with an impatient gasp..

He pulled her forcibly out of his hug..

Soundhar stared at him appalled..

"Hey who r u man..." he started to shout but cut in mid by Karthik's stern voice..

"Excuse me I need to talk to Raji..it's an emergency..."

He steered her by holding his elbow towards the stairways..

Leaving behind the outrageous Soundhar and number of on lookers..

Raji's father also witnessed the scene and stood rooted like a statue..an old man standing beside him asked

"Yaarupaa andha paiyan..namma ponna ippadi yellar munnadiyum kaiya pudichi kooditu poraan?"

"Maama..adhu Raji oda kooda velai seiyara thambi..romba nalla paiyan.." Raji's father gave conduct certificate to Karthik..

"Paarthaa verum friend maadhiri theriyalaiye..."he asked suspiciously...

"Paarthu paa.. kaalam kettu poi irukku..ponnu vishayam paarthu udane gavani...indha kaalathula kooda padikaravan ..velai seiyaravan.. ivangala nambi dhaan pullainga yemaarudhunga..."

"maama..yen ponnai pathi yenakku theriyum..neenga onnum solla vendaam..ippa yenna andha paiyana kaadhalikaraalaa ...pannatume...yenakku Raji oda selection mela muzhu nambikai irukku...ava oru naalum thappu panna maataa..andha nambikai yenakku yeppavume irukku..."

He said with pride...

Karthik literally dragged her all the way towards the terrace..

"Kaiya vidu Karthik its paining..."she tried to get out of his grip and pleading throughout ..but it has fallen in deaf ears...

Once they reached the terrace he left her with a jerk... she couldn't balance herself and about to fall but he gripped her shoulder in time to caught hold of her..

She shoved his hands and glared at him with misty eyes...

"Yedhukku yennai ippadi izhuthuttu vara Karthik?"

"Pinna andha soundhar mela appadiye fevicol potta maadhiri ottitu irundhaa...paarthuttu chummaa irukanumaa?"he too asked heatedly..

"Naan avana hug pannaa unakku yenna problem?"

"Nee hug panna koodaadhu.."

"Yen panna koodaadhu...?"

"Panna koodaadhunaa panna koodaadhu. avlo dhaan."

"Avan yennoda athai paiyan,childhood friend ..naan appadi dhaan hug panniven .nee yaaru adhai kekkuradhukku..?"

"Oh...athai paiyan la...good ...very good...po..poi avanaiye nallaa kattiko..naan yaaru naduvula kekuradhukku...ponga madam unga ishata padi yaara venaa kattikonga..." ...he pushed her away..with a sarcastic voice but contrarily with an angry glare ..

She looked at him with extreme shock in her face..as if she never expected this kind of rude behavior from him...

He closed his eyes to calm down himself..and whispered a meek" sorry.." though he knew she was not in her sense ,doing things out of her mind but still it pricks him while seeing her in other man's embrace...

She turned to the other side with a child like anger..

"Nee romba mosam po yennoda pesaadha.."

"Sorry Raji...inimel ippadi panna maaten.."he turned her towards him..

She looked at him with a scrutinizing look..

"Pakka..?"she extended her hand..

"Pakka...promise.."he kept his hand on her's..her face beamed instantly..

"Karthik u r so sweet.."she pulled his cheeks...

"Hey yenna panra..."he backed off instantly.

"Yenakku unnai romba pidikkum theriyumaa?" she extended her hands to the fullest..

"Theriyum.." he replied with a smile..

"Yeppadi theriyum?"

"Unnoda kanna paarthaale theriyum.."

She grinned foolishly..

"Karthik ..Naan unnai hug pannalai nu dhaane unakku kobam..?dho ippave hug panren paaru..."

She hugged his neck tightly...

Karthik shoved her hands off immediately...

"No Raji...back off.." he warned her sternly...

"Yen ..yennai unakku pidikalaiyaaa?"she asked with a gloomy face..

He felt like pulling his hair... "Omg..now how could I explain to her..that she is not sober..Actually the problem is not her but me.."

"Raji appadi laam illai..i like u so much u also knew that.."he said softly to her..

"Then hug me.." she stretched her hands..

"Oh god ..yenna yenga kondu vandhu maatti vittirukeenga..."

"Nee yennai hug pannalainaa ..unakku yennai pidikalainu artham .."she was sulking..

"Ok fine.." he hugged her slightly..and parted away at once...

She might not in her senses but he was fully conscious and aware of his state. he was losing his control with every passing second in her proximity .. he has put all his wits together to restrain his emotion...but alas..he was badly losing the battle ...she couldn't even imagine how much her closeness has seduced him...above all the greatest tragedy was he has to be in control not only for him on her behalf too...

"Podaa unakku sariyaa hug panna kooda theriyala..." she pulled him closer by grabbing his collar and hugged him so tightly as if no gap for even air to pass through..

That's it he had lost it completely ...his simmered fire has been ignited fully and he made a free fall from the top of the hill to the deep down valley of passion..

He hugged her possessively as if she was his precious possession...and rubbed her bare back sensually..he dipped his head inside her dark thick hair and filled his lungs with her aroma inhaling sharply.

He slowly came to her face nuzzling her face all the way.. she was glowing in the moon light ..her ethereal beauty was driving him insane.. when his eyes fell on her trembling lips his eyes darkened with intense passion. he couldn't resist himself from capturing those lips any more..as he bent down to kiss those petals...

His trance has been broken by the loud shrill of his mobile...he jerked back startled...and ran his hand through his hair in frustration...it took few seconds for him to control his burning sensation..

"Ufff.." with a deep sigh..he took the phone..

Lakshmi was the caller..

"Karthik where r u guys..u know we r very worried.."

"We r in terrace Lakshmi..pls come soon.."

He cut the call and turned to see Raji who stared him stood frozen to her place...with apprehensive look in her face as if someone had snatched away her favorite candy..

He averted his gaze from her nave face..

"No... I won't take advantage of her drunken state..it's absolutely wrong..."

Lakshmi and Vishnu came there with a worried face.

"Raji ya kaanom nu keezha theduraanga Karthik..naan yedho solli sammalichiten...ippo yenna panradhu Karthik..?"

"Lakshmi ..function almost mudinjadhu..neenga Raji ya unga room ku koottitu poi thoonga vachidunga...naalaikku kaallaila she will be ok.."

"But saapidaama thoonginaa yedhaavadhu problem aagida pogudhu..."Vishnu insisted them..

"Ok Lakshmi neenga room la ye yedhaavdhu order panni saapida vachidunga...indha vishayam nammala thavira vera yaarukkum theriya koodaadhu...Raji would feel embarrassing..."

"Karthik..yennoda room la naan mattum illai..shruthi oda friend um irukkaa..ippo Raji ya anga koottitu ponaa avalukku therinjidume..."Lakshmi expressed her concern..

Karthik held his forehead in anxiety..

"Pesaama unnoda room ku koottitu poidu Karthik...naan Raji parents kitta ava yennoda thanguraannu sollidaren..."

"Adhu sariyaa varaadhu Lakshmi.." he denied out rightly..

"Yen Karthik.." Lakshmi asked puzzled..

"Vishnu vum.. naanum irukara room la Raji..adhu sariyaa varaadhu Lakshmi.."

"Dai machaan naan yedhaavdhu bachelor room la thangikaren...

Yennai pathi kavalai padaadha nee Raji ya paarthuko.." Vishnu assured him..

Karthik tried his best to deny that idea..but Lakshmi and Vishnu persuaded him to agree..

They informed to Raji's parents that she will be staying with Lakshmi..

Finally KR in K's room..

Karthik was hell tired due to his mental stress throughout the day especially in the evening..and felt like hitting the bed as soon s possible..but on the contrary Raji was very fresh and not even thought of sleeping...

Karthik decide to order something for her to eat but ..it was almost mid night restaurant has been closed ...so he decided to feed her some bread and biscuit they bought during their travel time..

Raji showed yucky face on seeing that bread and biscuit..

"I don't want this yucky food.."she pushed it away..

"Raji don't test my patience.. at least eat a little and sleep.."

"Naan idhai saapdamaaten..."she was stubborn ..

"Orggg...ok vera yenna dhaan venum..?"

"Yenakku ice cream venum..."

"Ice cream aa... indha raathirilayaa..impossible Raji..."

"Yenakku ice cream dhaan venum..vera yedhuvum naan saapida maaten..."she folded her hands across her chest to show her adamant..

"Indha vishnuvaa... irudaa naalaikku irukku unakku.."he cursed Vishnu for nth time...

"Ok wait pannu naan poi vaangittu varen..

"Naanum varen.." she was all set to go out with him...

"No .."he shouted hastily in anger..

"Yes..."

"I said no..."

"I said yes...i will go with u Karthik pls..pls ..pls.."she started to bug him...

"Enough..."he raised his voice...and she gapped at him in shock..

"Just shut up...u r not going with me that is final ok.."

She nodded her head like an obedient child...

"Good...till I come be quiet..i repeat not even a single sound...and no pranks and mischiefs..."

He glared at her one last time and rushed out locking the door from outside..

Luckily he got the ice cream in the hotel restaurant itself that too bribing the room boy..

When he came to the room it was full of dark..he searched for the switch board and illuminated the light ..and shocked to see Raji ...

She had changed her saree to his t-shirt and Bermudas..and grinning widely at him..she looked more appealing in that attire..

"Idhu onnu dhaan ippa kuraichal aa irundhadhu..kadavule..iva yennai romba sodhikaraa..."

He complained to god..

He was staring at her having totally gone out of the world...

But her attention shifted to the ice cream in his hand which is melting along with him..

She literally snatched the ice cream from him and started eating it with great amusement..

He smirked at her child like excitement .. and looked a t her lovingly enjoying the ice cream..

After she finished it ..he asked her to sleep..

"Ok ..nee yum vaa serndhu thoongalaam.."

His relaxed muscles clenched once again..

"No..no... it won't happen...u will sleep on the bed..i am comfortable in the couch.."

"Oh...fooo...ivlo periya bed irukkum bodhu..nee yen ivlo china sofa la thoonganum...come come..i won't kick u in sleep..Don't be scared Karthik..."she giggled at her own joke...

"Bed la thoongarennu solra varaikkum iva vida maataa...Karthik nee inniku sethadaa..."

He prayed his favorite god and reluctantly settled himself at the corner of the bed..and closed his eyes leaning on the bed post..

She made a grumpy face and came to his side..leaned on his shoulder hugging around his waist..

He jerked back as if he had been given electric shock...

"Raji yenna panra..?" he asked startled..

"Thoongaren..vera yenna?"

"Go sleep on the pillow..i am not ur pillow right?"

She chuckled at him..

"u r not my pillow..that i know..but I can assume u as my pillow right..?"

"What is the need of assuming where u actually have the original.."

"Unnai maadhiri oru insensitive idiot yaarume irukka maataanga.." she rolled her eyes..

"What..?..."

"Pinna yanna...yenakku un thol mela saanji thoonganumu naan sonnaa dhaan unakku puriyumaa..? wooden head.."

She chided with a disappointed face..

"Idhellam nee conscious la irukkum bodhu sonnaa ok...ippa sonnaa adhai yendha list la serkaradhdunnu yenakku theriyalaiye.."he muttered to himself..

"u told something..?"she asked credulously ..

"No nothing important.."

"Ok naan thoongaren..."she leaning on him once again...

That time he didn't budge ...as he expected that already ...

"Karthik..."she whispered in his ear which evoked new sensations in him...

"umm..."he asked with closed eyes tried to control his untamed desires...

"Naan un kitta onnu sollanum.."

"sollu.."

"Unnai yenakku romba pidikkum..."

"u have already said that.."

"But u haven't said it once..."she said with pain..

He snap opened his eyes instantly ..and looked at her..she was looking at him with keeping her chin on his shoulder as a stand..

"Why Karthik...you don't like me ?" a pair of pearls dropped down from her eyes.

He nodded his head for "No" as he couldn't manage himself to say anything...

"Karthik...u know..How I much I love u...?yes I love u so much ..than anything else in this world..."

She stopped for a second and gazed at him as if anticipating for something..

He was under total shock...and stared back at her blankly..

Her voice was so genuine there was not even a small clue for her drunken state... it felt so real

He was in dilemma whether to take it seriously or ignore it as mere ridiculous talk out of her alcoholic effect..what so ever...

"Damn at last she confessed her feelings man...what does it matter whether she is stable or not..."his heart jumped in joy..but still he was hesitant...

She continued...

"I know u will not reciprocate my feelings...because u don't love me...right Karthik..?"she asked with a immense pain in her eyes..

He felt miserable...whom she was accusing for not reciprocating...? he smirked sarcastically..

"it's ridiculous..."

Before he would say something she interfered

"Yen Karthik appadi sonna? how could u?"

He looked at her clueless of what she was talking about..

"What do u mean..?"

"Inniku kaalaila shruthi kitaa...'no wonder Deepak would fallen for u..'nu.."

His body jolted with the realization..

"she heard that...omg...she heard that..."he said that words just for funny ...but now when he think of it from her position he could feel her pain and he realized how awful it does sound..

Her next set of words cut down his wave of thoughts and pierced his heart straightly..

"So u would also have done the same thing if u were in Deepak's place ..mmm..?"

Her eyes reflected her anguish and distress...and poured down continuously..

For a moment he went numb...how could Raji ask like this idiotic nonsense and stupid question to me..

And then anger seep through his every nerve...he forgot her position and his as well ..he lifted her gripped her shoulder roughly..Ignoring her wincing in pain..

"How dare u even think like this Raji..?"he asked with a hurt voice..

"Then why u said like that?" she asked with the same hurt..

"I was just ..it's just a joke Raji.."

"Oh..so for u too my feelings are joke like others.?"She asked with an extreme pain in her voice..

He couldn't take that anymore..he pulled her in jerk and hugged her ever so tightly pressing her face hard on his heart..

"Listen here..it will always say..Raji..Raji...Raji...and no other name ever...ok..?"he let her to listen his beads for a moment..

"But if I had hurt u that much then I am sorry Raji...very sorry...I will never repeat this mistake again..."

"I am sorry...and ahhh..."he kissed her forehead and said .i love u ..love u so much..."

And parted her slightly to see her face but she was fast asleep with a contented smile in her face..he smiled at her but seeing the traces of tear his heart pained with guilt ..

He brought her to his embrace again and uttered "I am sorry..sorry..." continuously until he slips into sound sleep...
