Raji was watching the entrance very anxiously expecting for something or should say someone...

Suddenly her face lit up with her favorite person's arrival..

Karthik entered into the floor with his usual fast steps..

He too saw Raji watching him and come to her directly...Raji averted her gaze to the monitor and pretended as if watching something important in the screen..

Karthik stood near her and said..

" Nee innum System ah on pannala Raji..."

She was baffled and her hand automatically went to the power button and has hesitated to see it was already switched on..

She looked at him in confusion ..but he was trying very hard to suppress his smile..

She realized he was actually teasing her...she scowled at him in anger..

Seeing her face he laughed out loud...

"Podhum romba sirikaadha..."she twisted her lips and turned to the other side...

He walked around her and went to sit in Vishnu's place..

"Yenna Raji iniku office ku seekirame vandha maadhiri theriyudhu.?"

"Inniku traffic konjam cummy aa irundhadhu.. adhaan office bus seekiramaa reach aagiduchi.." she replied plainly..

"Nee yen Vishnu place la ukkaandhu iruka..avaru vandhuda poraaru?" Raji asked...

"Avan yenniku office ku on time la vandhirukaan...varattum paarthukalaam..." he replied casually...

" Sari adhai vidu ...Aamaa nee yenna thedi tu irundha...? He asked watching her keenly...

"Naanaa ..naan yaaraiyum thedalaiye..."she was stuttering to answer..

"Nee yaaraiyo edhir paarthuttu irundha maadhiri irundhadhu..adhu naan dhaane...?" he asked teasingly..

"Iyooo romba than..." she showed her tongue..

"Unamaiyaa illai yaa?sollu..nee yennai dhaane thedina..?" he was pestering...

"Adhellaam onnum illai.." she had avoided the eye contact as she was lying..

"Cha ..appo naan dhaan romba aasai pattutaeno.." he showed his disappointment dramatically..

"Sari inimel naan inga ukkaandhu yenna panradhu naan poren.."he tried to get up..

She hurriedly he stopped him by calling.. "Karthik oru nimisham..."

He sat back comfortably with a naughty grin..

"Appo ne yennai dhaan thedinennu othukko?"

"Aamaa unnai dhaan thedinen podumaa..uankku onnu kudukanum adhukku dhaan thedinen.."

His brows reached its height..in surprise..and asked.. "Raji...?"

Seeing his exaggerated reaction..she hurriedly denied.. "hey... nee udane over aa imagine pannaadha..

naan kudukanum nu sonnadhu idhai dhaan.." she took out a small gift from her bag and extended to him..

"Yenna idhu ?"

"Paarthaa theriyala... gift.."

"Yedhukku.."

"Chummaa ..."

"Raji yedhukku idhellaam.." He was hesitating..

"Naan first time oru gift kudukaren vaangika maatiyaa?" she asked in disappointment...

"Naan yeppa vaanga maatennu sonnen.?".he literally snatched the gift from her..

"Ippave open panni paaru Karthik .."She insisted..

While opening the gift "Idhula yedhuvum dvd illaiye..?"he asked suspiciously...

"Naan onnum Karthi illai...Raji..."she was grumbling thinking about his gift to her..

Mean while he opened the box and he had found a beautiful silver kadaa...

He was surprised to see that gift..She was relieved seeing his happy face..

"Pudichirukaa Karthik..?" though she got the answer from his reaction itself she wanted to confirm in words..

"Romba azhagaa irukku Raji..i really liked it so much.." he said in an excited voice ...

"Sari pottu kaattu...:"she asked with a child like amusement..

"Neeye pottu vidu.." he extended his hand to her..

"Yenna idhellaaam..?"she was shocked..

"Ada pottu vidu maa..." he was adamant ...she hesitated for a second and then she held his hand and inserted that kadaa in his right hand...

At that time ...there comes a sound of "ketti melam..ketti melam.."

Both looked at that direction..

Vishnu was standing there and playing the song in his mobile..

KR smiled at his antics...

"Dai yennadaa nadakkudhu inga...?kaalailaye aarambichiteengalaa ..narraayna indha kosu thollai thaanga mudiyalai..." Vishnu was stomach burning...

"Dai Raji yenakku oru kadaa present panninaa avlo dhaan... adhukku yendaa ippadi over aa react panra..?" Karthik was annoyed that their private moment was disturbed..

"Yenaadhu gift aa?dai unnoda birthday vaa inniku? sollave illai..yeppa.. mamaa ..mamaa treatuu..."Vishnu sings rhymingly...

"Nee yellaam yenakku oru frienduuu..yen birthday kooda yeppa nu theriyaadhaadaa.." Karthik asked irritated..

"Illai daa theriyum..but Raji gift kuduthadhaala naan konjam confuse aagiten..podhuvaa birthday ku dhaane gift kudupaanga..?K glared at him

"Sari moraikaadha daa.. ippo yedhukku indha gift..? yenakku unmai therinjaaganum.."

"Adhellaam friends kulla secret... veliya solla mudiyaadhu..." Karthik said

"Raji unakku friend naa... appo naan yaarudaa...?" Vishnu was fuming..

"Adhaane nee yaarudaa..?" Karthik repeats the same question..

Both Karthik and Raji laughed out loud seeing Vishnu's fuming face..

Vishnu and Karthik were standing in the veranda.. holding the handle wall and watching the busy road from the heights..

Both were silent..

After a while Vishnu had broken the silence ...

"Dai machaan yenna daa solra..? yennaala nambave mudiyala..yennamo cinema laa varra kadhai maadhiri solra..yeppadi daa ippadilaam nadakkum..?"Vishnu couldn't come out of his shock..

"Aamaandaa yaaro plan panni panna maadhiri dhaan theriyudhu..yaarunnu kandupidikanum..."

Naan mattum correct time la andha problem ah sari pannalainaa..kandipaa Raji oda velai poi irukum...yennoda perum damage aagi irukkum.." karthik looked worried..

"Yaarudaa panni irupaa...?" Vishnu asked in confusion...

"Kadipaa yennaiyum.. Raji yayum pidikaadha yaaro dhaan panni irukaanga.." Karthik said firmly...

"Rival company la irundhu yaaraavadhu panni irupaangalo..?" Vishnu said his doubt...

"May be... but we have to find it daa..." Karthik said with finality..

"Yeppadi daa..kandu pidikaradhu?"

"Cctv la record aana videos paarthu ...system crash aana samayathula yenna nadandhadhunnu kandu pidikalaam..aanaa namakku adhukku permission kedaikkumaannu theriyala.." Karthik was uncertain..

"Koushik kitta solli permission vaangalaam daa.." Vishnu suggested the solution..

"Dai yenakku doubt ae avan mela dhaan.. avanaiye poi kekka solriyaa..naama panradhu unofficial aa irukanum...puriyudhaa?"

"Adhu onnum problem illai machi..official naa dhaan problem unofficial naa jujoobi matter..."Vishnu said casually..

"yeppadi daa?" karthik asked in surprise..

"Adhukku kaivasam aalu irukku maamaa...IT la Mani nu oruthan namma aalu...avana vachi matter ah mudichidalaam.."

"Dai avan othupaanaa daa..?"

"Avane tv serial maathiri yellaarum slow motion la nadakkaradah paarthu bore adichi poi irupaan...ippadi detective velai naa paiyan odi vandhu help pannuvaan..."Vishnu said with his trade mark laughter..

Karthik laughed outside but his intuition said something is going to be wrong...

With the help of the IT guy Vishnu and Karthik were watching the cctv camera recordings..

After Raji had left ..it was clear that Angel had inserted some other pen drive and did something in Raji's system...

Vishnu gapped at the video...

"Dai machaan yennadaa idhu..?" his face clearly showed his shock..

"Dai Vishnu vaaya moodu..."Karthik warned him...

Then they thanked the IT guy and left the place...

"Dai Karthik ..ippa yenna daa panradhu.." Vishnu asked very anxiously..

"Dai Angel verum ambu dhaan daa..villu vera yaaro.."

"Yaaro yenna yaaro..adhu yaarunnu unakku theriyaadhaa?"vishnu asked angrily

"Nee pesaama irudaa Vishnu.. naan paarthukaren...ippo naama poi sonnaalum Angel dhaan thappu pannaannu solli avala velaiya vittu thookkuvanaga..illa naama solradhaiye yaarum namba maataanga..because system crash aanadhu yaarukkume theriyaadhu...neraiya problem varum daa.."

"Nee solradha paarthaa thappu pannavangala pudikka mudiyaadhu pola irukke..." Vishnu asked..

"Thappu pannavanga nichayamaa maattuvaanga..indha vishayatha idhoda vidu.. naan paarthukaren..nee un ottai vaaya vachi yaaru kittaiyum uzharaama iru podhum.."Karthik warned him and left..

IN canteen Karthik and Angel..

"Yenna solra Karthik nee yenna solrannu yenakku onnume pruriyala..?Angel was acting innocent..

"Yen kitta proof irukku Angle.. nee dhaan pannennu..."he told about the cctv footage.

Angel was shocked and quickly hid her fear..

"Kavalai padaadha naan unnai maatti vida maaten...yaennaa naan innum unnai yen friend aa thaan nenaickaren..Aanaalum yen Angel...? nee poi ippadi ..."his face showed so much disgust she couldn't bear that sight of him. She low down her head in shame..

"Yenakku therinja Angel ippadi pattava illai...china china kurumbu pannuvaa...konjam possessive aa irupaa aanaa I thought she were so loving and truthful ...but nee yen ippadi aagita Angel?

He asked in disbelief..

"Indha video va yennaala nambave mudiyala...nee poi yeppadi ippadi oru keezh tharamaana velaiya senja?appadi yenna yen mela unakku kobam Angel?

"Un mela yenakku kobam illai.. karthik"

"Appo?"

"Raji mela.."

"Yen?

"Because she came in between us..."

He was dumbstruck now...

"Yenna paarkkura ..yes I love u madly...but nee nethu vandha andha Raji pinnadi suthinaa yennala yeppadi poruthukka mudiyum .?yennai friend nu solriye yeppavaadhu yennaoda feelings ah purinjittu irukiyaa nee?unakku yepapvume naan oru time pass material dhaane..unakku venumaa vandhu pesuva...kaariyum aana udane kazhatti vittuduva.." Angel was on fire.

Karthik couldn't believe his senses he never expected this kind of outburst from Angel..

For the first time he felt he too was at fault..he never taken the proposals of Angel that seriously he thought it was shallow and funny..but now it seemed she was harbored her feelings for so long and that was true according to her..

"Yenna pesa maatenngura...?Yen Karthik nee yennai purinjikave illai..?naan venumnaa unakku comedy piece aa irukalaam aanaa yennoda love unmaiyaanadhu ...I loved you sincerely...but what I have got in return was ignorance and mockery.." she whimpered at the end..

"Yen Karthik naan laam love panana koodaadha?yenakku adhukku rights illaiyaa? Angel asked bitterly..and a drop of tear escaped from her eyes..

"Angel yenakku yenna solradhunne theriyala...yes I know you showed interest in me...but I never looked at u in that sense..adhu uankkum theriyum...naan un kitta appave moonjila adicha maadhiri unnai reject panni irukka mudiyum ..but I thought u were my good friend..i didn't want to hurt u Angel..adhaan unnai avaoid panninen...neeyaave purinjitu vilagiduvennu.."

Nee yennoda manasula illainu purinjika unakku oru nimishame podhume Angel ..anaa adhai yethukka mudiyaadhadhu unnoda thappu..

Nichayamaa love pannalaam Angel adhu unnoda rights..but u can't force me to love u back..adhu yenakkaa thonanum..love compel panni varaadhu..."

Raji unakkum yenakkum naduvula vandhutaalaa?ava ippa vandhava Angel but we were friends for years...un mela yenakku love vanranumnu irundhirundhaa andhu college days laye vandhirukume...aanaa naan yepavume oru friend ngaradha thaandi unnai ninaichi paarthadhu illaiye..?"

Naan pannanina ore thappu..unnai yeppavume yennaala love panna mudiyaadhunnu un kitta direct aa sollaadhadhu dhaan...but adhu avasiyamnu yenakku thonalai..because I thought your proposals were joke and not intentional.." he finished in a sorry voice..

"Aanaa unnoda indha yendha reason um nee senja dhrogathukku justify panna mudiyaadhu Angel..

He said very sternly..

Sari unakku yen mela.. Raji mela kobam..veruppu ok..aanna adhukkaaga company project ah collapse pannuviyaa?adhu namma team oda one month hard work..namma company oda future...damn it u also contributed to it and u r also a part of this company ..adhellaam kooda yosikka mattiyaa?appadiyaa pazhivanagara unarchi unnai blind pannidum?

He showed so much distress than anger..

Basically Angel was not that bad hearted girl.. circumstance and bad friendship only ruined her mind..

Now seeing the disgust and aversion in Karthik's eyes pierced her heart like a needle..

Already she was regretting her deed now she was feeling terrible..

She was ashamed of her act and couldn't even face him..

She thought if Raji was kept away from him her route would be cleared and there was no stopping her from attaining her wish..but after hearing it from Karthik she came to know that even in the absence of Raji also she couldn't reach his heart..that day turned out to be an eye opener for her..

"Lover aa illai naa kooda oru friend aa unakku yen manasula oru nalla idam kuduthirundhen Angel..but nee adhai kooda ippa miss pannita.."

Karthik's voice full of pain..and she couldn't take it anymore and broke down completely

"Sorry Karthik..naan periya thappu panniten..Feeling of revenge had blinded my rationality..i am really sorry..i couldn't even face u now.." Angel felt ashamed of her act..

"Yenna dhaan unakku kovamaa irundhaalum neeyaa idhai panni iruka maateennu yenakku theriyum Angel..unakku avlo mosamaana manasu illai nu yenakku theriyum..unakku pinnadi yaaro irukaanga..adhu yaaru nu sollu.."Karthik persuaded her..

She was scared now..

"Appadi yaarum illai Karthik ,,naane dhaan.."she tried to defend..

"No poi...naan sollattumaa adhu yaarunnu...he watched her eyes directly and said..

"Koushik.."

Angel was startled even more and gapping at him..

"Karthik pls indha vishayam velaiya therinja andha koushik yennai konnu kooda pottuduvaan...velai ponaa varum aanaa uyir ponaa? Angel was extremely scared..

"Bayapadaadha naan yaar kittaiyum solla maaten...andha koushik dhaan clever ah unnai munnadi niruthi kaariyatha panni irukaane..ippo poi sonnaa unnoda velai dhaan pogum.."

Karthik was in rage while telling Koushik's name..

"Nee yevlo dhaan yenakku kettadhu panninaalum ...yennala unakku kettadhu nenaika mudiyalaiye...because u were my friend.."

"Appadi past tense la solladha Karthik..naan dhaan unnoda manasu puriyaama paithiya kaara thanamaa nadandhuten...now I am clear that I couldn't get a place in ur heart ..but I didn't want to lose ur friendship also..unnoda friendship yenakku mukkiyam Karthik pls..yennai veruthu odhukidaadha.." she begged him

"Angel unnai veruthirundhaa naan neraa Visvanadhan sir kitta indha video evidence ah kondu poi irupen...un kitta pesittu irukka maaten..

Nee yeppavume yennudaiya oru nalla friend dhaan Angel..."

He smiled for the first time...he was contended that she had realized her mistake..

"Karthik ivlo nadandha pinnaadiyum unnaala mattum dhaan ippadi yennai mannika mudiyum ..yennai nenaichaa yenakke kevalama irukku Karthik.."she was crying like a child...

Karthik had seen that others were watching them curiously ..he tried to pacify her..

"Shhh...Angel calm down.. pls yellaarum paarkuraanga..."seeing her nowhere to be stopping ..he patted the back of her hand consolingly.. After a while she wiped her tears and smiled at him lightly and said..

"I love u Karthik..."

"I love u too Angel.."he passed for a second and said.. "but not in the sense of u r thinking...

I always love u as a friend avlo dhaan nothing more than that am I clear to u..?

He asked in playfully but with a determined voice of clear things between them...

She nodded her head and smiled sadly at him...

"Inimel yennala unakku yendha problem mum varaadhu karthik.." she assured him.

After a pass...

"Karthik nee Raji ya love panriyaa?" Angel asked in low voice..

Karthik glanced her for a second and said..

"Theriyala..but she was more than a friend to me..adhu mattum theriyum.."

He was smiling at the thought of Raji...but without knowing the storm heading towards him...
