Damn. Wow Puneet. That was really well written (well aside from the grammer issues). I'm actually speechless mate. Just when I think this fic can't get any better, each new entry surpasses the older ones. Absolutely beautiful Puneet.

Starting from the beginning. The extended metaphor of light and darkness was amazingly introduced and retained within the fic. I adored that part. Building upon that analogy by introducing eclipses, Laxmi's light, and clouds scattering was fabulous.

But the highlight of this entire piece, would have to be RL and their separate and shared thoughts. Ramesh's inner dialogue about his sadness and pain and helplessness regarding Nisha was wonderfully written and evoked such beautiful sadness. And his questioning of the love his brothers had for Nisha and his past affecting his 3 kids was so apt and natural feeling. And Laxmi, you've outdone yourself in that section. I LOVED Laxmi's feeling of wanting to be relaxed through Nisha's "Laxmi relax-m" but realizing she couldn't trouble Nisha and be selfish. I also adored how you had her think about her own self doubts in regards to their parenting, but staying strong for Ramesh. And her end dialogue about supporting Ramesh in everything was just the cherry on top.

Absolutely wonderfully done Puneet. You've outdone yourself. 👏

Didn't expect you to like it, but glad you did, quite a relief it is.😆
Sorry for the grammar and punctuation, but i have lost touch with grammatically correct English 2 years back😆
Well for the first time i took an hour to write something, yes the trip was responsible, but the time i gave did produce the result. Again thanks for the detailed review😊

Part 6- Cousins

The next day Nisha sat by her window watching the early morning rain. The reporters seem to have taken shelter nearby but they didn't seem to want to leave. Nisha sighed and looked around her. She was alone in her room with reporters a her door desperate to get a scoop of her so called love life. All she wanted to do was help Viraj and gain his love and trust. Instead she has a family who is disappointed with her and a father who is hurt seeing her in this state.

Nisha stared blankly out of the window. The downpour outside had reduced to a mere drizzle. A raindrop was dangling from the edge of the roof window all alone just like she was. Nisha was holding onto the last thread of her emotional strength. She couldn't hold it in anymore. As the raindrop freed itself from the roof the young girl let go of her strong facade and broke down. She didn't bother holding back anymore. She grabbed the nearby pillow and screamed into it. The frustration, anger and grief had created a terrible mixture of feelings in her.

The people who's support she expected all back out except her parents. She thought that Viraj trusted her enough to give her a chance to explain but she was wrong. At the end of the day her parents still accepted her full heartedly when the rest of the world stood against her.

Nisha sat by the window and let her tears dry. Nisha kept trying to to deviate her mind but her heart wouldn't let her. She needed a break. She needed to go out for a while. Somewhere where the reporters won't follow her.

"Nisha", she heard a voice from the door. She quickly straightened up and put up her strong facade and turned around to find her cousins and Saurav at the door. She gave a faint smile and they all came in and sat around her.

"We are so sorry Nishu", Kirti said.
"We didn't realize it'll become this serious", Jwala admitted.
"It's my fault", Saurav said, "It was my account that was hacked."
"So sorry nishu ", Dolly said.

"Why are you all apologizing", Nisha asked in surprise, "This is none of your faults. I'm the one who sent the mails. You all did nothing wrong."
"I'm the oldest Nishu", Umesh said, "I should have protected you. Instead..."

Nisha looked at her cousins. Their sad faces hurt her more than the pain that Viraj caused her.
"What's done is done", she said, "It's none of your fault."
Their expressions didn't change much.
"Who want's ice-cream",she said.
"Me!!!", Bunty said with sudden excitement. The others gave a light laugh.

The cousins settled down on th terrace with the ice cream that was in the house. Dolly and Umesh had bought it to celebrate Nisha and Viraj's union but they didn't mention this to Nisha. Bunty was the first one to finish up and Jwala dozed off.

"This is perfect", Sukku said, "Just us cousins enjoying a peaceful time."
At that exact moment a nearby phone rang. At first they decided to ignore but the ring was annoying them and Sukku picked it up.
"Hello", he said.
Everyone gathered around to hear what was told by the caller.
"Hello", came a reply, "Mrs.Sharma here."
"Hello aunty. This is Suketu. "
"Hello beta", Mrs.Sharma said, "Is your sister there. I heard about her on the news. Such a terrible thing to happen to your family. You should get her married soon. Girls should be married off before they create such drama."
Sukku was ready with a retort but Dolly grabbed the phone before he could say anything.
"Hello Sharma Aunty", Dolly said ," I heard that your daughter is getting a divorce because her husband was cheating on her with someone else. And your younger daughter ran away from home. Is it true? I feel terrible. What a bad name it must have brought to your family.
The very next second the call was disconnected and all they could here was the engaged tone.

Nisha watched as her cousins and best friend defended her which brought fresh tears to her eyes but this time it was tears of happiness.
"What happened?", Kirti asked, concerned,
"Even after all this you all support and defend me", Nisha said.
"Of course we do", SAurav said, "Nothing can tear us apart."
They all hug.
"Where's Jwala and Bunty?", Kirti asked as they broke the hug.

They headed back to the terrace to find and Bunty had taken the unused ice cream spoons and tucked it into Jwala's pony tail. The young genius woke up and found her cousins staring at her.
"What?", she asked and they all burst out laughing.

Jwala soon realized what Bunty had done and started chasing him around the terrace while the others continued laughing. Nisha's laughter toned down into a wide smile. She watched her cousins laugh and be happy and realized that th most beautiful music for her is this laughter ringing in her ears.
