Well said. People signs petitions on bigger social issues like curruption, sexual assaults, criminal activities, and so many but here some are doing it for saving a show 😡 its really disappointing .it is just my thought.for me it is very immature and unnecessary. 😕

with a time slot change and a good exxtention this show can do wonders

Completely agree with you Lekha. I new timeslot would do wonders, youths could actually watch the show. And I'd add that the FJ track drag was because of SP too. The pacing of the show has been affected by all the rumors. I remember during KN marriage time, the grapevine was that NAUC would be taken off air by June 1 and hence we had Nisha falling for Kabir kind off faster that I would've liked. But then the rumor of NAUC getting an extension came out and the stalling of the FJ track started. Like love taher said, that track could've finished in a jiffy but the news of the extension made the CVs drag it so they could focus on future tracks. And then the news of July 17 being the end date came out and VJ was introduced and met Kabir and GF in 2 days with no dragging. The current storyline pacing reflects the July 17 end date because bank episodes are being used/ shown. I'm sure the storyline is going to be extremely fast-paced from now on to meet the June 27 deadline. It's gonna suck.

@love taher, I totally get where you're coming from. I too was disappointed by CM and FJ. But at the same time, I think we have to remember just how constrained the CVs are by SP and the audiences. We forum members HATED the FJ, but the FJ bought the highest ratings NAUC had ever seen. With that kind of evidence and incentive, I could see why SP would push the CVs to go for more saas-bahu stuff.

Like I said earlier, the show did start out extremely well. It was just about Nisha and her cousins. But that didn't bring TRPs and at the end of the day, all SP is concerned about is TRPs.

That said, I'm convinced there's some sort of beef between the NAUC PH and SP. It's too messy and their reasonings don't really make sense. But that's not for here to discuss LOL.

@lovely-lady I disagree. If there are enough people to watch American shows and make them popular in India... I believe Indian shows can make changes to their formats.
Plus, Na bole tum tried seasons and it worked quite well.

Indians in India get American cable TV shows? I didn't know that. That's cool.

I also didn't know about Na Bole Tum. But that's only one show that's been successful. We cannot expect it to be the norm. That said, I'm not opposed to NAUC being a seasonal show. I think you're misunderstanding me. I think NAUC being a seasonal show would be a really great idea, but just that I don't think it's reality would work out as we hope. The main audience in India is aunties who like drama. That's why SNS is so popular. Shows like NAUC will never be able to reach those heights unless they change their entire show dynamic.

Again, we're probably not gonna come to a consensus on this because what we think is completely different LOL so let's agree to disagree.

Yes, they do. Some nearly at the same time as the US release. I'm saying, it can be started. Otherwise they'll just drag and forget where they started.

@bold -- tbh I think that's the problem with A LOT of indian tv shows. Because they get so caught up in trying to extend the show, they make up all sorts of stories and loose the essence of the show. For me, the biggest example in this in QH. It's actually amazing what a shit show that show became. Same with Madhubala actually. On that note, while NAUC storyline has been going haywire for a while now, I'd also argue that they have *sort-of* retained the family essence. Or at least with VJ, we're getting more GF family.

A seasonal system would work wonders for the quality of storylines and I agree in that it should be and can be started. But I'm just not sure how successful it will be. Usually when shows have a second season, that first season does not correspond to the second ('I'm thinking of Kutumb). I'm hoping Anil Kapoor's 24 will be the trend that kick-starts season shows (it's a longshot I know).

okay first of all, this is so f**king judgemental and rude of you to post. secondly, i don't understand how the two are related. I could sign petitions on bigger social issues AND for stuff like NAUC. It doesn't matter. I f**king enjoy NAUC and I'll fight to keep it alive. It's my prerogative while yours could be to complain about how efforts (how do our efforts even concern you? why do you care if we're fighting? why can't you just let us fight without having to pass rude judgements like this?).

Seriously. It would be nice to show some common curtesy. You can get your point across without being so rude, like the TM has so kindly shown.

@lovely_lady Starworld hd airs american shows in india, and that too the current seasons. And totally agree with what u sed later, in the efforts to let the show go on, they just drag it not realising how much it affects the story and with it, the audiences.
So as _UptoNoGood_ said (im sorry i dunno ur names) it would be really nice if this trend started for indian tv shows as well. It is something i personally would love. No changing the story entirely in the 2nd season, that wouldnt work im sure but keeping the essence intact, continuing from whr it ended and giving us new exciting things to watch per season, yes that definitely would work.

I totally agree. As of now the anutyjis in India like unrealistic drama which the youth absolutely detest. that's why American shows are so popular among youth. They are faster and show only relevent stuff and youth of India like that and we'll always like that. So maybe in a decade or so we can hope the Indian Television will adopt that pattern...till then aunties will rule the Indian television and not let the youngsters like us have a show we want.

Another problem is that people of our age are every comfortable watching shows online. If SP considers hotstar views also then nauc TRPs would have been very high and we wouldn't have got terrible fj and cm dragging. CVs would have focused on relevent stuff but...kash
