Chapter 3

*Viraj's penthouse*

Viraj was playing his drums in frustration. Nisha's face wasn't moving away from his eyes. The memory of her smile was enough to calm the fire caused by her betrayal.

*Flashback*

As St. Louis performed, St. Teresa team was shocked. After they went backstage, 2 teams started fighting, and the captain of St. Louis team confessed that Nisha had given him the video of routine. Viraj didn't believe him first, but then only the members of the dance team and Nisha had the video. He couldn't understand how to react because all he felt betrayed.

*Flashback ends*

The doorbell of his house rang, and a bit later Kaira entered.

Kaira- Kya hua Viraj? Tum tensed lag rahe ho.

Viraj- (crying) She broke my trust Kaira.

Kaira- (confused) Who?

Viraj- Nisha.

Kaira was shocked as Viraj told her the whole incident and that he broke up with her. She consoled him and said.

Kaira- Viraj, mujhe pehle se lagata tha that she'll betray you, but now, it's over. You have to be strong. Show her that she is a deleted chapter of your life.

Viraj- How?

Kaira- Let's be in a relationship.

*St. Teresa's College*

The girls of the college were sad. The hottest guy of the college, Viraj Singh Rathore, was in a relationship with Kaira. Nisha and Kirti entered in the canteen and saw Kaira and Viraj sitting hand in hand and talking about something. Suddenly her best friend Dolly ran to her and started crying.

Nisha- (confused) Kya hua Dolly?

Dolly- (crying) He breaks my heart Nishu.

Kirti- Who breaks your heart Dolly?

Dolly- (wiping her tears) Viraj. He and Kaira dating.

Nisha and Kirti looked at each other and then at Kaira and Viraj in shock. Nisha's eyes were filled with tears. Kirti signaled her with her eyes, not to cry. Nisha nodded and closed her eyes to avoid the drop of tear from falling off.

Kirti- How blah Dolly! Tum toh aise behave kar rahi ho jaise ki woh iss duniya mein akela ladka hai... Tujhe toh aur bhi accha, trustworthy and jo tumpe trust karta ho aise ladka milenga.

Nisha looked at her in horror and Dolly looked at her in confusion.

Dolly- (confused) accha, trustworthy and jo mujhpe Trust karta ho? What you saying Kirti?

Nisha- (trying to change the topic)Kuch nahi, chalo chalte hai.

Suddenly their mobiles beeped and it was WhatsApp message on the college group with one guy's photo and a caption, "A new cute guy in college." Nisha ignored it but Kirti downloaded the picture and gasped in shock.

Kirti- (a bit taken aback) Nishu...

Nisha- Kya hua? (She snatched the phone) KABIR???

Here at the corridor the girls were standing in a single line to catch the cute guy's glimpse. He wasn't new to all this but a bit shocked with the grand welcome he received and smiled. One girl literally fainted. He entered to the Principal's cabin.

Principal- Kabir Kumar?

Kabir- Yes Sir.

Principal- Welcome to the college. Well, I'll tell the college G.S. to be with you as she is best for you since you are new to the college.

Kabir nodded his head and Principal told the peon to call the G.S.

G.S. - Sir may I come in?

Kabir turned and came face to face with Nisha. Nisha entered the cabin.

Principal- Nisha, this is Kabir Kumar, our trusty Gautam Raizada's son. I want you to take his responsibility and make sure he is comfortable here.

Nisha- Yes sir.

Principal- You may leave.

They both left.

*Outside the cabin*

Kabir- (shocked) Tu G.S. hai?

Nisha- (casually)Haan toh?

Kabir- (nonchalantly) Nahi, mujhe laga tha ki smart log G.S. hote hai, but I guess Mumbai is different.

Nisha- (angrily) You...
Kabir ran for his life and Nisha started running behind him, but it was difficult as she was wearing heels and tripped. She closed her eyes to feel the pain but felt a muscular hand around her waist. She slowly opened her eyes and met with Viraj's. Their eyes locked for some time, but when Kaira called out to Viraj, he snapped out of his thoughts and helped Nisha stand straight.

Nisha-(awkwardly) Umm... Thanks...

Viraj-(rudely) Aur kitna girogi Miss. Gangwal, already meri nazron se gir chuki ho...

He snaked his arm around Kaira's waist and left. Kabir kept his hand on Nisha's shoulder and squeezed it to tell her that everything will be fine.

Nisha smiled and turned

Nisha- Toh Mr. Kumar, ready for your first day in St. Teresa?

Kabir- (saluting her) Yes Mam.

Nisha- (smiling) Toh chaliye.

They entered the class and Kabir sat with Nisha while Viraj with Kaira on the last bench in the adjacent row. Nisha felt sad looking at the 2, while Viraj's insides churned in anger as he saw the new guy holding Nisha's hand.

Kabir- (holding Nisha's hand) Arrey peeche dekh- dekh ke neck mein pain ho jaayega.

Nisha- (turning to look at him, angrily) Tu apni bakwaas band kab karega?

Kabir- Umm... I don't know.

He gave her his famous goofy grin and Nisha face palmed. The lecturer entered and the lecture began.

*After the lecture*

All the students left. Nisha turned to tell Kabir that she is going to meet the musical team, but found him sleeping. She slapped him hard on his back.

Kabir- (waking up and shouting in pain) Ahhh...

Nisha clamped his mouth shut.

Nisha- Chup kar. (released his mouth)

Kabir- (acting as if hurt) Ahh... Bahut dard ho raha hai... Kitni badi K hai yaar tu?

Nisha started laughing at his baby faces while Kabir stopped his antics and smiled.

Kabir- Smile kiya kar, you look beautiful.

Nisha stopped laughing and looked at him.

Nisha- The reason of my smile has left me.

Kabir- (acting as if nothing happened) Par main toh abhi- abhi tumhare life mein aaya hoon, and (dramatically) I promise you, Tumhe kabhi akela nahi chodunga.

Nisha- (dramatically) Promise? kabhi akela nahi chodega na?

Kabir- (now serious) Par tujhe promise karna hoga ki you'll smile always, kyunki tumhare saath tumhare siblings hai and all they want is your happiness.

Nisha- Hmm...

Viraj who had left his book behind had come to take it. He was happy to see Nisha smile but felt angry that he wasn't the reason of her laughter.

Nisha- Chale?

Kabir- Chalo.

Viraj- Must say, you do have a good choice, Miss. Gangwal.

Nisha-(trying to hide her pain) Viraj, what's your problem?

Viraj- (sarcastically) Nothing much, just happy to see you move on.

Nisha- Also I am happy that you have moved on.
