Chapter 2

Nisha was shifted into her room. Because of the medicine she was sleeping. After 2 hours she woke up and looked around and guessed that Mr. Annoying must have dropped her. Kirti entered the room.

Kirti- (giving her a glass of juice) how are you feeling?

Nisha- I am good Baby doll...

Kirti- Tu cafe mein Viru se milne gayi thi na? Phir Kabir ke saath kaise pahuchi yaahan pe?

Listening to Viraj's name made Nisha's heart break into pieces. She started crying.

Kirti- (trying to console her) Nishu, kya hua? Phir se tum dono ka jhagda hua kya?

Nisha- (between sobs) He broke up with me.

Kirti- (shocked) What???

Nisha- Hmm...

Nisha told her the reason and Kirti decided that it was best for Nisha to rest and left from there. Before going, she informed about Kabir staying with them, which made Nisha feel like breaking her head. Uff! Yeh ladka! Peecha hi nahi chodta!

She was reading her textbook when she heard the door open and a guy say, "How are you feeling honey?" She looked up and rolled her eyes.

Nisha- Please dude, mood nahi hai, TUMSE baat karne ka.

Kabir- That's rude. Mujhe toh sikhaya gaya tha ki anyone asks you How are you feeling, you should say, I am fine, Thank you.

Nisha- (annoyed) Accha? Kisne sikhaya? Papa ne?

Kabir- 10 saal ho gaye hai, unse thikh se baat kiye hue.

Nisha- (sarcastically) Ha ha very funny.

Kabir- (casually) No yaar, I am serious. Mom and dad are divorced.

Nisha looked at him in shock. If she hadn't spoken to her dad for more than a week, she would burst out crying, and this guy, he hasn't spoken to his father for 10, bloody 10 years and he is chilled out.

Kabir- Waise, back to my question, how are you feeling?

Nisha- (sarcastically) I am fine, Thank you

Kabir- (patting her head) Sikh rahi hai, bacchi, mere saath raho, main tumhe smart banaunga...

Nisha- (irritated) Ho gaya?

Kabir- Waise, your boyfriend...

Nisha's features stiffened. She closed her eyes firmly and sighed. Taking that as a yes, Kabir continued

Kabir- Maine tumhare break up ke baare mein kisiko nahi bataya...

Nisha looked at him in shock.

Kabir- Come on, it's your personal matter.

Nisha- Thank God ki tumhari mom ne tumhe yeh bhi sikhaya hai ki kisi aur ke personal matter apni yeh naak nahi ghusate...

Kabir- Main tumse baat nahi karta, par because of your hand, and the way your bf spoke to you made me talk and tend to your hand. Waise ek baat bolu, I know ki routine tumne leak nahi karwaya...

Nisha was shocked. This guy had met her some 2 hours ago and was confident that she didn't do it, while Viraj, he was with her for 2, whole 2 years and he trusted a video more than her.

Nisha- (trying to hide her shocked expression) Accha? tumhe kaise pata?

Kabir- (coming closer to her, intensely) Inn aankhon se...

Nisha pushed him and he fell off the bed.

Kabir-(in pain) Ouch. That hurt.

Nisha- Good. Serves you right.

Kabir-(standing up) Waise, don't mind, tum log bahut time se saath the kya?

Nisha- Hmm... 2 years. Hum dono ek hi class mein the. It was love at first sight. Phir first year ko Valentine Day par usne propose kiya... And now... (she sighed)

Kabir- (changing the topic) Anyways, chalo dinner karte hai...

Nisha- Mujhe nahi karna...

Kabir understood how she felt. Worthless. But he had to do something, so that she eats something. She was very weak. He removed his cell from his pocket and put it to his ears.

Kabir- (cheerfully) Hello Ramesh Uncle, main Kabir. (he paused for sometime) Nahi, nahi, mujhe yahaan koi problem nahi hai, bas, woh actually Nisha khana nahi kha rahi hai...

Nisha was horrified and snatched the phone from his hand.

Nisha- (talking on the phone) Nahi papa, aisi koi baat ... Hello?

Nisha checked the mobile and it displayed Kabir's photo with a goofy smile. Kabir started laughing.

Nisha- (angrily) What the...

Kabir- (laughing) Papa se baat hui?

Nisha- (slapping him) Idiot...

Kabir- I know I am a big K.

He showed her his tongue and without thinking picked her up and started walking downstairs... Nisha started hitting him, but Kabira is Kabira, he kept on climbing down the stairs. The other 3 were horrified.

Sukku- Nishu, tu thikh hai?

Kabir- (made Nisha sit on the table) Sukku, maid ko bolo ki Nisha ke liye dinner laaye.

Sukku- Ek clarification. Tere liye sirf Suketu.

Kabir- (cheekily) Ok Sirf Suketu, please tell the maid. Iss bulldozer ko neeche kaise laaya hai, sirf mujhe pata hai.

Sukku- (angrily) Teri toh...

He walked towards Kabir in anger but Kirti stopped him and ordered the maid to get food. When the maid placed the plate infront of her, Nisha made a face. Kirti took a spoonful and took it to her mouth.

Kabir- Apne liye na sahi, Kirti liye toh khana kha Nisha. Woh chala gaya, and if he is the one, woh waapas aayega.

Umesh- Kaun chala gaya?

Kabir bit his tongue. He had decided that he won't speak about Viraj with Nisha or her cousins anymore. He decided to let Nisha handle it and wanted to move away.

Kabir- Woh main... main... mom... mom ko call karke... (He was about to get up but Nisha stopped him. Kirti placed her hand on Nisha's supporting her and encouraging her to tell the boys about the break up)

Nisha- Bhai, Sukku, I and Viraj... We, umm... we broke up... (She put her head down and let a tear trickle down her face as Umesh and Sukku registered what Nisha said)

Sukku- (hiding his shocked reaction) Nishu, if this is one of your pranks, then it's not funny...

He prayed that it was a prank. Nisha really loved Viraj and he knew she would be lifeless without him.

Nisha-(looking up at him) I am serious.

Umesh tried to comfort her by keeping his hand on her shoulder while Sukku and Kirti side hugged her. Kabir smiled and said, "Awww... Can I join?" Sukku and Nisha gave him a disgusted look while Kirti wiped her tears and smiled. Kabir surely knew how to make someone laugh even when he was serious.

After finishing dinner, Nisha went to her room. For so long, she had controlled her emotions, but now, it was too hard for her. She sat on the bed and started crying. Kirti, Kabir, Umesh and Suketu looked at her sadly through the window. Kabir told them what had happened in the cafe.
