After so many months, I was taken out by Ramy out of his cupboard. I was curious. Is he going to count me again? Or is there going to be new additions. I understood he was going through some very tough phase in life when he didn't remember me for months. May be he was having financial trouble unable to add more to us. I was really surprised, shocked and emotionally so happy for Ramy when he told his wife that the moment has arrived to use me. I understood his daughter is getting married...I felt so happy for Ramy.
I have been living with Ramy for I don't know how many years.
Ramy took me out for the first time to be seen by you all, when he decided to count how many he has collected all these years. He had counted numerous times and each time I have felt so much happiness and pride in him. But for some reason, he hadn't let his daughter, Nisha know the truth behind the existence of me. He had used his drinking habit to cover the truth. And his daughter being an impulsive girl, had always been rude whenever it comes to me and the box which contains me. Ramy though has never minded any of her rude words on his selfish nature. If I hadn't told this truth to you now, you would have thought Ramy was saving for his drinks too.
Ramy is very protective of me. He cannot bear anyone touching me.
And when his daughter took me from the cupboard and asked Ramy to use me for her cousin's shagun, I knew Ramy would get furious. He can never bear anyone to even think of using me for some other purpose. But his daughter doesn't understand him like the way he understands her. I heard her telling, Ramy cares only for his drinks and never for his self respect. People can tell anything to him, but it wouldn't matter to him. She was back to her rude self again. I felt very bad. But I was glad Ramy remained silent and shared his feelings with his wife. She knows how much I am important for Ramy. His daughter has always done everything for others, and he is treasuring me only for her, for the time when she would need me. I really wish his daughter would understand Ramy's intentions soon.
I could sense I was again taken somewhere outside and this time not by Ramy but by his daughter again.
Hearing the conversation, I understood Ramy's son has made a huge mistake resulting in Ramy getting blasted by everyone. His daughter wanted to save her father's self respect and wanted Dadaji to use me and take the money Ramy owes. But I am sure you all would have already understood Ramy would have never let that happen and again fought with Nisha. Nisha banged me back to Ramy and left with the rest of the jewellery. She still thought Ramy cared only about himself and never for others.
Out I was again and this time the atmosphere was really different than it usually used to be.
And the moment Ramy started talking I knew Ramy is telling the truth to his daughter about me. It was about time too that his daughter understands that her father cares for her more than anything else and using the name of drinks was just a cover up. I was really happy that Ramy said how he and his wife have been collecting and saving these coins from the time she was born so that when the moment of her marriage arrives, they can prove themselves to be good and responsible parents. His daughter can be rude at times, but she definitely loves her father a lot. I could sense the guilt and regret in her voice when she apologised. I was really glad the misunderstanding between the father and daughter was cleared.
I don't know where I am now, but I would definitely say that all those years I spent with Ramy are the best. Each time I was taken out by him, I felt so happy seeing the happiness in him. I could feel his emotion of wanting to prove he is a very responsible father. Even now when he sold me, I felt his achievement, something he had been working for all his life. I really wish him the best in his life and pray his kids make him proud.
