Chapter 7: Skyfall

(Part One)

"How was your date Neil?" inquired Viraj as Neil came into his cabin looking fresh as daisy.

"It was great sir! Turns out her choices haven't changed much" said Neil.

Viraj looked confused so Neil explained, "When I reached the place where I had planned for the date, all the arrangements according to my previous instructions were already done and they said last minute changes would not be possible. I was tensed but had to stick with those arrangements and hoped that atleast she wouldn't dislike it."

"And when she came, she was overwhelmed" continued Neil, "She just loved it. We had a really good time. I think she likes me too. I was afraid I would be stuck in the friend zone, but Saurav encouraged me and finally I took the leap!"

Viraj felt a pang, did he not know Miss Nisha then? Maybe not. There was so much he didn't know about her. He somehow didn't like that, he had thought he knew her well.

"Speaking of Saurav, where is he? He deserves a treat for this!" Neil looked out in the lobby to see if he was there, "I'll take your leave now sir, it's almost the time you had fixed for speaking with that manager I guess!"

Viraj nodded and Neil exited the room excitedly to find Saurav.

Viraj then had a video conference with the Manager regarding the reports he had sent.

The manager was happy with the progress. She informed Viraj that she along with a delegation would be coming for the upcoming tournament as they wished to see for themselves the kind of talent Lakshya Academy possessed.

After that Viraj went to check on Miss Nisha's practice. He reached the shooting range in time to see Miss Nisha hitting the bull's eye. He smiled to himself.

"Miss Nisha" called out Viraj.

Nisha turned around, "Yes Sir, how did your talk with the manager go?"

"Very well, Miss Nisha" said Viraj, "A delegation from Quester is coming to see you perform in the tournament, we have to make sure that it goes fine this time... I will personally make sure that everything is in place"

"Chill Viru! Buaji and Priyanka are not a part of the academy anymore, and Shekhar is not here as well... We have only friends here, everything will be fine" Nisha tried to pacify Viraj, She didn't want Viraj to remember the bad memories and hurt himself dwelling over the past.

She then excused herself saying that she had to find Saurav for something and left hurriedly.

Viraj stood there, lost in his thoughts. Then he came to his senses and rushed towards the academy, there was something he needed to find out.

(Part Two)

Viraj had asked Saurav to check the inventory and see if everything was upto the mark earlier that day.
Viraj reached there to see Neil happily telling Saurav about the previous evening. Viraj stood behind the wall, he did not wish to be discovered. He wanted to speak to Saurav privately, he had to wait for Neil to leave.

He felt Saurav might have answers to some of his questions. Ms Nisha had called him Viru! She had hurried off, there was something that she was hiding from him and there was no use asking her. Saurav was her best friend and she always shared everything with him, maybe if Viraj caught Saurav unaware he could find out some clue on Aarti!

"... and I couldn't believe my ears when she said she loved it. You know kitne nakhre hain uske!" laughed Neil, "And I am so thankful to you bro for supporting me! I owe you one!"

Neil hugged Saurav. Saurav was genuinely happy for them, they had both faced a heartbreak just a few months ago; She, on finding out the truth that the person she loved and was dreaming of having a future with did not really love her, and He, on finding that she had fallen for someone else without him even getting a chance to confess the love he harboured for her. But now things were going to be fine for them. Maybe everything happens for the best.

"I need to get going now, have work to do" Neil said and left from the opposite door.

Viraj was about to enter the room to speak to Saurav but he saw Miss Nisha rushing through the other door, he hid behind the wall again.

"Saurav yaar kab se tujhe dhoond rahi hu poori academy me, mujhe tujhse kuch zaroori baat karni hai!" exclaimed Nisha.

"Kya baat hai, aaj main bohot demand me hun! Kiska chehra dekha tha maine subah subah!" mocked Saurav, "You've also to appreciate me for yesterday's plan?"

"Saurav bakwaas band kar! Tujhe dikh nahi raha main kitni pareshan hun!" vented Nisha.

Saurav became serious, "Kya hua Nishu?"

"I was just talking to Viraj Sir, and I don't know how I could let such a slip of tongue happen, but I called him Viru! You know I used to call him that only in the emails as Aarti! I just hope he didn't notice!" Nisha spoke in a very tense manner.

"Calm down Nishu... Did sir ask you anything? Did you feel by his manner that he had a suspicion?" asked Saurav.

"I don't know! When I realized what I had said I excused myself and came to search for you!" Nisha said, "But I think if he doubted me he would have stopped me and questioned me... Saurav, I started writing to him because I felt he needed someone to open up to, everyone deserves that, and he is such a good person. I wanted to help him out the way he had helped me overcome my fears."

"I knew the way I was choosing to do that wasn't right, but there was no other way! When he found the love of his life I felt happy that he finally had someone real to share his life with. There was no need for Aarti anymore, and I couldn't continue being that forever." Nisha said more to herself than to Saurav, "Aarti was a part of Nisha, and Nisha couldn't bear having to lie to the person she admired the most, there was no reason to do so anymore!"

"Yes Nishu, I know... You can never do anything to hurt anyone. Just calm down, everything would be fine, Viraj sir wouldn't find out about this, stop worrying" said Saurav, "Chal main tujhe Chocolate smoothie pilata hun cafeteria me, you'd feel better"

Nisha and Saurav left.

Viraj had heard everything. He stood shocked!

Nisha was Aarti? How could this be! No, he wasn't ready to accept it! He had been so sure that whoever Aarti was, however she looked, whatever she did would not have any effect on him... He loved her for the person she was and nothing else mattered to him. Then why was it so hard for him to accept the truth? He had always thought the best for Nisha, she was important to him, she had always stood by his side... even when his own family and friends had betrayed him, even when he had felt like he had lost everything. He felt numb.
Nisha was Aarti.

Viraj walked out of the there slowly, lost in his thoughts.

His train of thoughts was broken by the sound of laughter, he looked up to see Nisha, Saurav and Neil laughing together in the cafeteria.

Suddenly he was snapped back into the reality.

"What have I done!" he said softly to himself.

Jhanvi Di, this was I think one best ways for Viraj to know about Aarti - Nisha confusion. It's so soothing after the episode today...
So I loved it! :D
Now I'm eagerly waiting to know what Viraj does. Regret karega? It looks like he has begun to feel something for Nisha, though he may be unable to name the emotion. But what did Nisha feel about her date that was organised by Neil?

First off: hot damn! This was a superb update! Now I'm curious to know if Viraj would get jealous of Neil pursuing Nisha.

i really really loved it... i wish viraj had gone to london.. i wish aarti truth came in front of him this way.. i wish things would have turned up this way!
