Am working towards my doctorate in Cultural Theory.The forum's a breather for me, you can see. And as my name suggests I'm from Kerala and I'm not a Madrasi...no stereotyping there please. Nor am I a Channel-V Lollakutty look-alike!

I love reading history, poetry and everything else classified as nerdish(!) coz I believe that it is up to the younger generation to keep up our country's ethos and we out to ourselves to conserve everything from our culture to the environment. Not surprisingly hence, Ekta's spread is not a favourite with me but I do admire the lady's gumption. But I do enjoy sensible reality shows like Fame Gurukul, though I'd rather not get into the political/capitalist imperatives of it here.
