Well I will just say everything is on luck. Ipk was big luck, concept was nothing new, yhm I definitely appreciate a lot, cos concept was fresh and different. Whatever be the case, Gul shows I have issues mainly cos characters are just stereotyped, all her shows guys will be rich and girls will be poor.

Agreed! Plus, I think IPKKND came at a time when mostly Saas-Bahu saga were ruling & back in 2011-2013 quite a lot of fresh shows were introduced.

YHM came with an exceptionally good idea & as much as I hate the makers for its downfall, I can never deny it was a pathbreaker in so many ways and the entire ensemble cast were brilliant. 👍🏼

Am not saying Ekta does great things, but at least characters differ. Matsh, girl was rich and few shows both will be same or different, ofc few cliche scenes are gonna be there.

Couldn't agree more. I think there has been other shows too featuring rich FL & poor ML, but Ekta's shows had a certain amount of freshness and not stereotypical. It's like the stories had similarities, certain scenes were repeated yet the characters stood out for themselves.

I don't get Gul's obsession with arrogant MLs & overly chirpy FLs.

Glad you agree and even I do, though it was messed it was fresh, and risk was taken! Also all characters had their arcs and stories. Yes, they were.

Few bondings stand out. Issue with Gul is, you will love bondings but post one month all is scrapped and everything revolves around leads.

Of course there are other shows. Yes, however she does, atleast some things are fresh.

Yeah, and stereotypical traits in both.

Also what irritates me a lot, in Gul's shows leads have no connection but they will have a story.. and bond. I appreciate Nazar to be an exception, where college formed one connection and DD thing.

Warna toh ja rahe hai kahi, they will gatecrash and then out of blue FL comes to work in guy's home and ho gayi story. What crap?!

Like yhm had a base, they were neighbours. Matsh had a base, he served in their house from start.

Nushy- Thanks for liking the sig. It's easy to make stuff on many things when you don't follow a show. Earlier I PSed for the love of characters and now I do for the love of Photoshop and art.

Plus, one thing I realized post Silsila that sometimes we don't appreciate some characters the way they deserve it & only realize how great they were when we watch worse characters.

Aarav & Suchi were really cute & I do love them as a couple who evolved. But I think I started respecting Aarav more when I saw Ishaan in Silsila. 🤪 It's funny that Kinshuk played both roles and I loved and hated him so passionately in those two shows. 😆

BTW, keeping aside the leads, whose arc did you like comparatively more in YHM & MATSH?
