the actress who played the mean gir😆l in the farmhouse track her name is also megha sharma 😛

There are many siblings on television like Roshni - Deeya Chopra, Ronit - Rohit Roy and Ashita Dhawan Gulabani - Janvi Vora. The latest to join the sibling bandwagon are actresses Pooja and Megha Sharma. The two actresses are seen in Ruk Jaana Nahin and Parvarrish - Kuchh Khatti Kuchh Meethi respectively. While Pooja is playing the lead Sanchi in Hemal Thakkar's Ruk Jaana Nahin, Megha plays a class eight student in Parvarrish. Co-incidentally, both the sisters are playing characters younger than their real age. It seems the Sharma sisters are lucky enough to have reversed the trend of younger actors playing characters older than their real age!

Yeh bhi Megha Sharma hai😆

My goal is to make Parvarrish the number one show on Sony TV: Creative Head Megha Sharma
30 Oct 2012 - 19:28

Megha Sharma, an ex Gladrags model, actress, homemaker and currently the Creative Head of DJ'S A Creative Unit, is mother of two beautiful daughters. Having started her journey in this industry as an actor at the age of 16, later she decided to take up a job behind the camera, which is quite challenging. Now, her biggest goal in life is to make her show, Parvarrish, the numero uno show among all the shows on Sony Entertainment Television.

For our Behind the Lens section, Megha unfolds her journey.

How did your journey begin in the industry?

Well. My career in the entertainment industry began in the year 1997 when I was 16 years old. I started off as an actor and have done a few movies and serials. Later, I started working with the camera team. In my career, I have worked with many other production houses like Balaji Telefilms, Playtime Creations, Lost Boy Productions and lastly joined DJ's A Creative Unit.

Why did you opt for DJ's?

Well, I got a better offer in DJ's. Moreover, Parvarrish, is one show that is loved by many including my daughters; it is more realistic in nature than all the other shows. After the first season of Gumrah…I joined DJ.

But one thing we cannot understand what made you take up work behind the camera?

As you may know that I am a model as well an actor. But, in my subconscious mind, I always wanted to take up something behind the camera. The experience is a different one altogether.

But why particularly in the creative department?

The only reason is being a creative head, I get to interact with actors and I can speak to the channel personnel as well. I can see the final scripting, make changes if required and I feel this comes naturally to me and don't have to tax my brain. As a creative head, I just have to make sure that I keep the show and the story understandable. I decide upon the final set of actors after the casting gives me a list. I go on the sets and even speak to actors if required.

What made you take up Parvaarish?

As I said, I am a mother of two growing up daughters, I could relate to the show very well. I have learnt a lot in these four months. When I started off I was altogether a very different person and now I can understand both sides of the coin equally.

Do you think drama is needed in daily soaps?

Yes, every daily soap needs a drama. Indian audiences love drama lot and as for Gumrah we had to shoot for long working hours on erratic locations and had to hype the sequences. But Parvarrish is a show based on real instances. When we brainstorm, Deeya Ma'm (Singh) usually uses her daughter's instances while I take the example of my daughters. And it's awesome to work with Sony Entertainment Television.

How has Parvaarish changed you as a person?

Honestly, from the time I was 16 and I joined this entertainment world, I have seen a lot of ups and downs in life. I had my set of struggle but as a woman, I wanted to fulfill my dream. I used to work for long with other production houses while the scene at DJ, is a very calm and composed one. My work has changed me a lot. I have become more patient and can take care of so many people and can handle their mood swings. I can understand the perspective of both the parties, be it an actor's point of view or a production point of view.

Did you ever face any tantrum by an actor?

Thankfully not at all, I feel Shweta Tiwari is a very professional actor; she gives her own inputs that makes it very realistic and doesn't drag things at all.

Who are your biggest critics and fans?

I would say that my nine and six year old daughters are my biggest critics and fans too. My husband usually praises my show. You know how husbands are. He always praises me but yes, when we were dragging Ravee's love story in Parvarrish, he suggested that we should put an end to it.

Your future plans?

I am here to stay in DJ's as a creative head and am writing my own show. But, don't know when it will go on floors. My goal is to make Parvarrish the number one show on the channel.

I seriously will stop watching if not for Ahluwalias. If their track also goes like scam case(which I really hope not) i will skip the show. I cant see it going down the drain like this.
