Well i don't approve much of track either.I'd rather even not even buy the fact that how can she be hired without doing 12th class
But as far as your topic is concerned about new intern getting party,
Well,some companies do throw a party when new interns come.I'm saying so,because currently my college's training semester going on and some of my friends have told the same.They do so you become accquainted with the staff of company and feel comfortable.So that part perhaps makes sense in the overalll nonsensical track
