Chapter 3- New Day,New Life

A new day, a new morning, a new beginning was what Navya followed. If Anant thought last night's events was going to bring any change in her behavior towards him, he was badly mistaken. In her heart, something had changed but she wasn't going to let Anant know that.

Navya walked up to the dining table and saw only Anant seated there. She turned her gaze towards the kitchen where she saw Sugandha cooking. Ignoring Anant, she went into the kitchen and started helping Sugandha with the cooking. Even though Sugandha had protested at first, she had to give in at the end because Navya strictly told her that she wasn't going to back down today so they were merrily cooking scrambled eggs when Mohan burst into the kitchen. Seeing him, Sugandha immediately chased him away remembering the disaster that had happened the last time he had come into the kitchen. 😆

Curious as to why Mohan was chased out, Navya asked Sugandha, "Aunty, why did you chase him out?" "Don't ask Navya. The last time he had come into the kitchen was when none of us at home. Taking advantage of the situation, he had invited Ramaa home for a romantic moonlight dinner and the great sir had decided to make it memorable and cook the food himself. When we came back at around 12, we saw the kitchen covered with tomato juice, boiled milk, broken eggs, and a whole jar of salt and what not on the floor and kitchen counter. To top it all, the gas also got over. When we asked him what had happened, he said he had thought of making pasta but then had changed his mind after the tomato juice had fallen on the floor. He then decided to bake a cake seeing the cookery book but in the end, after the milk had overflowed and dirtied the kitchen counters, he decided to just order something. When he was going out of the kitchen, he slipped on the tomato juice and caught something on the kitchen counter for support. Turns out it was the jar of salt which was kept behind the carton of eggs so the salt fell on the counter and a few eggs broke on Mohan's head 😆 while the others crashed down to the floor. He also forgot to turn off the gas so we had to eat takeout until dinner until we got gas and I and Anant had to clean up the whole mess while the others slept without any idea of what had happened to the kitchen." Sugandha finished with a sigh.

By the time Sugandha was done, Navya burst out laughing so loudly 🤣that Anant had turned to see what was going on and started giving her weird looks. 😕 "Wait a minute, so aunty, you're saying that Mohan created the mess and Anant cleaned the kitchen along with you? Wasn't Mohan supposed to be the one cleaning it up?" Navya asked her between laughs still imagining Mohan's hair with eggs and tomato juice on it. "Well the answer to that question is that," Anant interrupted before Sugandha could answer "I was being a sweet brother and so I did all the work instead of him, Anant said." Sugandha added, "Don't believe him Navya. Mr. Anant here was the one who gave Mr. Romantic these ideas and so was made to clean the kitchen instead of Mohan."

Anant gave Navya a goofy look and Navya asked Sugandha again, "Aunty, then how Anant is allowed into the kitchen? Shouldn't he also be banned like Mohan?" "Well Navya, Anant here is excellent at cooking so he is allowed because otherwise he also wouldn't be allowed to set foot in the kitchen like Mohan and your Uncle OM." 😆 Sugandha answered.

"Uncle is not allowed into the kitchen either?" Navya questioned her and Sugandha nodded her head in a no. Just then, Naina, Nikhita and OM called out asking for the food and then Navya and Sugandha carried the food to the table followed by Anant. "Bhai, you're carrying the food out? It's been 2 years since you did that. To what do we owe this honor?" Mohan asked bowing in front of Anant. Anant kept the food on the table and then pat Mohan on the shoulder after which he took his place at the dining table.

Anant came home after a long day of work at the office. Something had gone wrong at one of the sites and he had to solve everything as his father and Mohan were in a meeting. Seeing the time, he saw it was almost time for dinner so he rushed up to freshen up. Mohan and Om had come home early while Anant was solving everything. He came down, glad to see that dinner had not started yet. He was about to sit when Sugandha asked him, "Anant, can you go and call Navya. I think she forgot the time." Anant went up to her room and knocked on her door and hearing no reply, he slowly opened the door to see Navya sleeping peacefully. He admired her for sometime 😉😳but then suddenly remembered he had come to call her for dinner. He went to her bed and slowly shook her. Not getting any response, he shook her harder and she finally woke up.

Navya, shocked to see Anant in her room said the first thing that came to her mind, "What are you doing in my room?" Anant, understanding her situation calmly said, "Navya, it's time for dinner. Maa is calling you downstairs. I'll be here. You just freshen up and come, okay. Take your time. There's no hurry. Navya dragged herself out of the bed and freshened up quickly and went down with Anant. Seeing that everyone was already seated, she felt embarrassed and said sorry to Sugandha who shrugged it off and said it was fine. 😊

Dinner unlike yesterday was quiet affair as almost all of them were tired. There were occasional laughs at Mohan's Jokes but otherwise everybody ate very quietly. Navya, as soon as she was done went to her room to sleep as she hadn't fully woken up yet. Anant also went off to sleep after a very tiring day. They both dozed off with Anant seeing Navya's dreams and Navya seeing the dreams of a certain blue eyed man. 😉 They both slept soundly with Anant waking up for breakfast while Navya slept through breakfast until lunch. Nobody woke her up due to strict orders from Sugandha that she needed the rest.

At lunch, after Navya had finally woken up and was fresh, there was merry talk all over the table. The day being a Sunday, they decided to show Navya around Bhopal, they being Nimisha, Naina, Nikhita and Mohan. After a lot of protesting and begging, they allowed Anant to tag along with them, not wanting to keep their bhai away from bhabhi 😉 for too long as they knew that even though they had told Om and Sugandha that they would be back by 8 at night, they would stay out longer since their parents didn't get much time to spend together and it wasn't everyday that all the siblings went out together. Deciding to go all the malls first, the girls dragged Navya along followed reluctantly by the two boys. Navya did not buy much as she was very choosy in choosing clothes since she had a whole bundle of them back home and she didn't know the different types of suits.

The 3 sisters though, having a lot of experience bought a lot of dresses which were being carried by their poor brothers. They were pestering Navya to give it to them too but Navya convinced them that she'll carry it herself as she was used to it. Mohan and Anant heaved a huge sigh of relief which was gone as suddenly as it came because they were being loaded with 5 more bags each.😆

"Bhai, I can't carry this anymore. If we stay for 5 more minutes, these 3 will buy everything in the mall. We've got to get them out of here. Navya, who heard them shot her eyebrows up and turned towards them and the brothers pleaded to her through their eyes. 😆 "Naina, Nikhita, Nimisha, we'll go shopping some other day. I'm getting bored. Aren't there any other places to visit in Bhopal? Please, can we go somewhere else?" Navya pleaded to the 3N's and seeing the poor soul's face, they agreed and the 6 of them headed out. Anant and Mohan thanked Navya and they left to go sightseeing in Bhopal.

By the time they were done, it was already 8 so they decided to have dinner and then go home. They went to Anant's favorite restaurant which served all kinds of food. Navya was in awe seeing such a big place and so many different kinds of dishes. Seeing her discomfort, Anant decided to make her forget the atmosphere and said, "Guys, today was fun wasn't it? I especially loved watching that guy sprinkle water for the plants in that park. Reminded me of a day which was awesome" 😉 and then chuckled. Reminded of the incident Navya glared at him and then said, "Awesome, my foot." The other four who didn't understand the head or tail of what was going on asked them about what was going on and Anant explained the whole incident while Navya was fuming. 😡

The waiter came to take their order and Anant ordered the same thing for everyone not paying heed to anyone's protest as he knew Navya would feel uncomfortable. Mohan who saw Anant staring at Navya understood what happened and whispered into Anant's ear, "Bhai, you're already starting to take care of bhabhi's needs? Not bad, future planning and all." Anant kicked Mohan but he accidentally hit Naina's foot saying it was Mohan who kicked and so started World War 5 between the 2 siblings while the others in the restaurant along with Anant, Navya, Nikhita and Nimisha started laughing at them. 😃😆

After a lot of fun during dinner, the 6 of them went on a long drive and by the time they reached home, it was already 11. Wishing good night, they all went to their respective rooms and then went off to sleep. Navya who couldn't sleep went out to the balcony and started singing softly. Anant, who was once again out on one of his midnight walks passed her room when he heard soft singing. Seeing her on the balcony singing with her eyes closed, Anant's heart warmed at the sight and he smiled to himself. 😊😳 Unknown to him, Sugandha who had stayed up waiting for them to come back sneaked up behind him and whispered in his ear, "She's very beautiful, isn't she?" Anant shocked 😲 at hearing a voice gave out a small cry and breathed out a sigh of relief when he saw it was Sugandha. He gestured her to be silent but it was already too late, Navya had heard him and was walking towards him. Sugandha who was not seen by Navya since she was covered by wall went from there and into her room leaving Anant to deal with Navya.

"You scared me. I thought it was a kidnapper or burglar. What are you doing outside my room at this time of the night anyway?" Navya asked him, frowning. "What is with you and assuming that I'm a thief or burglar? You did the same thing the last time too. Well, actually I was going to Maa's room when I heard someone singing very horribly 😆 so I decided to see who it was and I saw you. I was so startled that I shouted." Anant replied with a wide smile on his face. 😃Navya said, "For your information, I am not a bad singer. And also, I'm seriously not in the mood to argue with you so good bye and good night." Anant, on impulse kissed her cheek and told good night to her and went off from there. 😳

"Oh man. He said good night and now because of him I won't be able to sleep," she said touching her cheek. 😉😳 Anant who was watching this from afar chuckled when Mohan came out of the room and scared him.😆 "What a family I have, they don't even let me admire Navya and always end up scaring me. God help me." Saying this Anant grinned and went off to sleep, sure that he would have a very content sleep. He knew he would need a good sleep as he would have to go to office again tomorrow and Navya's thoughts he knew, would disturb him through the day. 😉

The next day, Kumud kept as far away from Anant as she possibly could during breakfast and felt relieved when he had left for office since after yesterday, her feelings which she knew were growing for him after every action of his had grown double the amount after that kiss. 😉 Navya, not having anything to do sat down to watch TV. She was channel surfing when she saw Cartoon Network telecasting reruns of Tom and Jerry. She sat down to watch it and before she knew it, it was already time for lunch. Since there were only three people in the house, Navya expected it to be silent but lunch was much more fun than she expected with Mohan Cracking Jokes and Sugandha telling her the childhood stories of Anant and Mohan and the 3N's. After lunch, she went back to watching her Tom and Jerry marathon and this time Mohan joined her too. 😊

Anant had decided to come home early today and reached home at 4. He rang the bell continuously but with nobody opening the door, he used his house keys to get in. Sugandha had gone out for buying groceries while Mohan and Navya were too involved in Tom and Jerry to notice anything else around them. 😆 He entered the house to ear sounds coming from the living room. He went in there, ready to blast anyone who was there for not opening the door when he heard Navya shouting 'Go Jerry' and Mohan shouting 'Go Tom'. The two of them were bickering with each other on who will win this match of Tom and Jerry. 😆

Anant went closer to them and shouted in Mohan's ear. Mohan jumped up but Navya was still blissfully unaware. Feeling someone staring at her, she turned to see the two brothers staring at her with their mouths open. 😲 "What?" Navya asked them, having no idea why they were behaving like that. Mohan replied, "We are just shocked that you were so involved that you didn't even hear it when Anant bhai shouted in my ear." "Oh that happens only when Tom and Jerry is going on or when I'm reading something" she said with a goofy smile. "Because of you two I had to stand outside for 20 minutes before I finally decided to use the keys to get in. And Mohan, I'm definitely going to tell Maa about this. You did this before two when I didn't have the keys and I had to wait outside for 2 hours and worst part of all, it was raining and I was stuck with Pneumonia for 5 days.

Mohan said, "Sorry bhai, I didn't do it on purpose. Actually I have a deal but you'll have to come aside with me" and dragged Anant to a place away from Navya because if Navya found out, he would get into huge trouble. He removed his mobile from his pocket and showed Anant the video of Navya he had taken when she was watching Tom and Jerry. Her different expressions at every scene had Anant in splits. Mohan transferred the video to Anant's mobile on his insistence and seeing the smile on his face, he knew his brother had a plan.

At dinner, Anant keeping true to his word kept silent about the whole event which took place a few hours back but when Navya accidentally blurted it out due to Anant's indirect jibes, ending in Mohan getting scolded again by Sugandha and Om who was laughing was also scolded by Sugandha.😆 The whole of dinner then passed by talking about Tom and Jerry. "I would have loved to see Navya's expressions. The way you boys are talking, they must have been very funny." Sugandha said after both Anant and Mohan told Sugandha about how engrossed she was. "Your wish is my command Maa," saying this, Anant plugged his mobile to the laptop and after 10 minutes he set everything up. He then took his laptop down and showed them all Navya's video. In 2 minutes, the whole house except Navya were all laughing holding their abdomen 🤣while Navya was glaring at Anant all this time. Anant, seeing her glare started laughing more. 😆 She left from there because she knew she would start laughing too and went into her room.

Sugandha who noticed her leave followed her and all the other followed Sugandha and apologized to Navya for laughing at her. "It's okay. I just left the room because I knew I would start laughing too so don't worry. Anyway, I was feeling sleepy too so I came here." Navya said.

Everyone left the room and Navya locked the door behind them.

"Mr. Anant Bajpayee, you've played a prank on me for the second time now. You have no idea who you've taken revenge from. You only saw my normal side, the Navya you'll see after today is going to tease you so badly that you'll beg me to stop. Heeeheeeheee..." Navya said out aloud and then went off to sleep feeling excited about the next day.😛

that was sucha fun loving update yah. loved the way mohan had messed up in kitchen and navya bursting out in laughter. wowiii was Anant adoring Navya's sound sleep. he heee restaurant mocking scene on each others were too good.. wonderful fun loving update yah.
