Part 3-

Anant looked away and took all the papers from Navya and sat back in his seat. Navya too followed and did the same. Navya got back to writing and was concentrating on the board as the teacher wrote the main body of text needed to be learnt for the unit exam at the end of the month. Anant was still in thoughts about what just happened to him. He looked over at Navya and just stared at her. He shook his head to get out of the thoughts in his mind and continued writing. Class continued as usual and there were several interactions between the students and teacher. The bell rang and the students shot up from their seats. Navya had taken a lot of notes and was filing them away as Anant watched her. She finally packed up and was heading to the door as Shraddha and Appy were waiting for her outside "Navya jaldi kar na yaar bohot bhook lage hai!" Appy shouted her and she ran to the door. "Navya!" a voice shouted her from behind and she wondered who it was. She turned around to see Anant there. She looked down nervous and shocked. "Ji!" Navya spoke. Anant walked towards her and smiled. "Woh Navya thanks!" he looked down shy. Navya just looked at him and his innocence and smiled from inside. "Thanks for what?" she was confused and she didn't expect anything like this especially from Anant he was arrogant and quite frankly rude with what he did in the first lecture. Come on Navya what are you doing, at least give the guy a chance. Since when did you think to interpret a person from the first meeting? Her instinct bugged her and she waited for his answer "Actually for... helping me pick up my papers just now!" Navya looked down shy and he looked at her actions. She looked up and said "It's okay!" she quickly turned around unless he started to say anything else. She never really liked talking to boys she just could never get her words out. She considered it her weakness but her mum told her it's her sanskaar in her that she is quiet like a cultured girl and speaks volumes through her eyes. That's what's unique about her. She smiled widely as she walked towards her friends remembering her mum's words. "Eh Navya tu is ladke se baat karke aye na kya kaha us ne?? Aur to kyu muskurare hai?" Appy grabbed her shoulders and she came out of her zone. "Woh to mujhe thanks bol rahe the kyun ki mene uski madat kar di, aur Appy muskurana me koi tax hai!" she giggled at her joke and Shraddha joined in. She was quiet just like Navya but liked to joke around. However Appy was the phataka in the group the spark as they called her. The three of them laughed and Navya's phone rang. "Hello!" Navya spoke and didn't check who it was. "Hello Navya me Ritz tu kesa hai? She smiled as she spoke to Ritz. They continued to talk as Ritz was going to coming over at college to have lunch with the gang. "Aur Navya sun to Ranbir bhi aa raha hai, woh bhi kise dost se milna hai joh thumari hi college me parte hai!" Navya wondered who it was as she didn't know this. "Navya, Ritz aa rahi hai kya?" she nodded her head and they had a group hug. "Aur Appy, Shraddha Ritz ka boyfriend Ranbir bhi aah raha hai uski dost se milne!" Appy and Shraddha were happy that they were all going to spend lunch together. They finished their last lecture and Appy and Shraddha wanted to go canteen. "Appy, I'll be just back I need to go to the library to go and get a few books for reading!" Appy and Shraddha shook their heads "Navya abhi to naya saal shuru hua hai yeh din menat karne ke nahin hai chill karne ki hai!" Navya shook her head "Appy yeh university hai, work kitna zyada hota hai aur mere papa kete hai ke shuru se hi mehnat karenge to end me sab bhala honga!" Appy and Shraddha let her go and they went to the canteen. Navya walked up to the library making mental notes of what she had learnt in Microbiology and her lessons on the development of the heart. She went into the library and asked the librarian where the books were. As she searched for the book someone was pulling the same book from the other side. Navya kept pulling it as she thought it may be stuck. Finally she pulled the book out to see a person standing there. She tried to see who it was but she couldn't quite make out the person's face. All she could see was hazel brown eyes which she was intrigued by. The person moved away and she lost the vision in front of her. Navya carried on and took the rest of the books. She went down to the canteen to find Ritz, Ranbir, Sameer who she doesn't know, Appy and Shraddha. She went over to the table and pulled up a chair. She smiled at everyone and hugged Ritz and they shared a small convo. "Navya yeh hai Ranbir aur yeh hai Sameer Ranbir ka dost aur unka dusra dost abhi aayenga!" Navya said hello to both of them and started eating her club sandwich and read one of her books as she ate. Anant walked through the door and Appy and Shraddha smiled. "Navya...!" Appy pinched Navya's hand and she looked up to find Anant walking towards the table. "Hi guys!" Anant spoke and Navya's jaw dropped. Lagta hai yeh hi Ranbir ka dost hai. She continued reading her book and everyone said hello to Anant. Anant glanced over to see her at the table he was a bit confused. He knew that she hanged around with Appy and Shraddha but not the rest. He continued catching up with Ranbir and found out that these two were going out. "Congrats Ranbir!" "Congrats Ritz!" Anant smiled at them and Navya looked over at him. Their eyes met. Navya looked down again and she continued with her study. Anant went and bought his food as the gang planned a celebration for Ritz and Ranbir. Sameer spoke "Party toh bante hai chalo na guys!" Navya had stopped reading now and she too enjoyed the conversation. Anant came over to see Navya and the gang laughing his eyes were fixed on her laughter. This bought a smile on his lips. He sat down and had his lunch as they planned. "Guys me nahin aa pahunga kyun ki hamari Dadi ko hospital me lekar jana honga aap log jaye phir kabhi!" Navya was ready to stand up and leave and Anant just stared at her confused. "Guys I have to go somewhere as well I need to go and talk to the lecturer's and then Baba needs me home for a pooja!" The gang glanced over at both of them. They shook their heads. "Jao jakar apna kaam karo aap hamari saath waqt hi nahin bitana chahte ho!" Appy was sad as she enjoyed Navya's company but then Navya went and hugged Appy from behind. "Im sorry Appy I'll ring you later!" She laughed and waved bye to everyone. She walked out of the canteen and Anant watched her. As she walked out a teacher walked up towards her. "Navya will you please take these books into that room?" Navya looked at her watch and she still had enough time and then took to the books from the teacher and the key. Just after Navya turned round the corner Anant came out and the same teacher came up to him "Excuse me dear will you take these boxes of textbooks into that room in the far corner they are very heavy so I can't I have already sent a student there so the door is open. Anant nodded and he took them over. Navya entered the room and it was dark there were no windows and the door slammed as she walked in. She tried to open the door as she was extremely scared. She started sweating. She banged on the door but there was no answer. Navya went further into the room to put the books down and then Anant opened the door quietly. Anant realised the room was dark and couldn't see the other student. "Excuse me is there another student here? I was sent by Miss Sharma?!" Anant looked around worried and he banged his leg on the table. "Ouch!" he cursed the table and moved smoothly across the ground. "Hello!" Navya whispered. They were in front of each other but were unaware that they were together. Navya was getting extremely tense. She slipped and a pair of hands grabbed her otherwise she would have collided with the floor. "Are you okay? Tell me what your name is?" Anant spoke worried and intrigued to figure out who this person was. She breathed on his arm and he could feel a slight tickle running up his arm. Navya couldn't say anything she was just petrified of the dark. She plucked up the courage and spoke "Na...Navya." Anant was shocked to find her here. "Navya it's me Anant Miss Sharma sent me here I didn't know you were here!" there was dead silence. Anant wanted to see her face. "Wait Navya let me find something. Anant got his phone and turned the light on and tried to trace some form of light. He found a candle and matches and lit it. He held it in front of him so he could see ahead. He could see Navya's glistening eyes. She could see Anant's brown eyes. My heart goes all dhin tana played. There breathing was contracting each other's and you could hear it gently as the atmosphere was quiet two hearts were beating but were they beating for each other? Anant was lost in her eyes, her beauty whatever he could see of it. Navya was the same the chocolaty eyes which she dreamt of. She gazed into them fully and then Anant looked away as the candle was slowly melting away. "Ouch damn it!" Navya suddenly shook awake from her dream land. "Anant are you okay she put the candle down and she slowly held his hand. Pehla Pyaar hai yeh, yeh Pehla... she slowly pulled his hand towards the candle so she could see what had happened. "Anant your hand is burnt we need to get outside. She held his hand and walked towards the door with the candle in the other hand. She tried to open the door. It was jammed. "Anant the door is locked we can't get out!" Anant was just watching her and he looked down at his hand to see her's with his. It just feels right. His conscious was speaking again. Navya pulled out her phone and tried to ring Appy but there was no answer so she rang Shraddha. She picked up "Shraddha please come quickly in room 121 it is locked and me and Anant are trapped!" she shot up and came running to the door. The whole gang came over. Ranbir opened the door to see them both. Anant and Navya came out hand in hand and the gang just stared at them. They were laughing and smiling. "Aap log kya has rahe hai; hum yahan room mein phas gaye the aur aap log ko hasi aa rahe hai!"! Navya was tensed about Anant that's why she got angry. The gang couldn't stop laughing. "Navya tum aur Anant toh saath saath toh hai to kya problem hai!" Navya realised what she was doing and she released Anant's hand straight away. They started laughing. "Anant come with me, you need to bandage your hand it's burnt!" Navya told Anant and he just looked at her. He was shocked. Why so much concern, why does she care so much? He kept looking at her and she told them what happened. Navya took Anant into a room and she sat him down on a chair. "Here Anant sit here and keep your arm straight!" Anant traced her eyes as she took out the bandage and wrapped it round his arm. She was so comfortable and she perfectly bandaged his arm. They shared an eye lock and Navya looked down shy. She stood up and Anant shouted "Navya... Thanks for this!" Navya smiled and she walked out of the door and went off smiling home. Anant smiled looking at the bandage and also went home.

Mishra House

Navya reached home with a smile on her face. She felt as if her simple life had changed. There were suddenly new vibes in her heart that were beating nonstop. She ran into her house and hugged her Dadi her mum and Renuka who was studying on the dining table! "Hello everyone how are you all today?" She shouted, everyone just looked at her and gave her weird looks. Meeta and Dadi stared at each other and watched this girl scoot her way round the house like she was high on some drug. "Navi tuje kya hua hai? Ese kyun dohrti ja rahi hai chote bache ki tara?!" Navya didn't hear a word and ran into her room and leaped in the air. Why was she so happy? She didn't know herself. She calmed herself down and she sat down to relax. She lay on the bed and went to sleep for a couple of hours.

Bajpai House

Anant sat in his bedroom on the computer and completed his essay that he had to do on the study of medicine and how medicine has diversified over the centuries. He was really hardworking but today his mind was still at college. He smiled as he looked down at his bandaged arm again. What am I doing? It's only a bandage, I'm such a freak. Anant cursed his weird behaviour and logged onto Facebook to see what was happening. He read the news feed and chat popped up it was Ranbir. He talked to him and lightened his mood away from what happened today. He saw that Ranbir Sharma is now friends with Navya Mishra. Immediately when he saw the name Navya a smile curved on his lips and he closed his eyes. He saw those eyes, the long silky hair. He opened his eyes and clicked on her name to see if it was her. He didn't know her surname and he just hoped it was her. When he opened it he could only see her picture and he smiled looking at it. He knew it was her. She looked cute he thought. Anant what's wrong with you she's nothing to you! He looked at her picture and then he went to the Add friend icon. He hovered over it for a few seconds and then he thought to add her. Then he stopped and thought Wait it would be a bit weird if I added her and I don't even know her that well yet I'll leave it! He logged out of Facebook and went down to sit with his family. He was a family guy and he loved to see what they were up to and what they want to do in the weekend as they have a day off on Sunday.

Mishra House

Navya was sleeping on her bed and then her Dadi walked into her room to try and wake her up. She smiled looking at her sleeping and laughed to herself. "Kesi ladki hai abhi toh khudke maar kar khushi ho rahe thi aur ab sogaye!" Dadi sat on the bed next to her and she stroked Navya's hair with her hand. She was proud of Navya not only was she proud of her academic achievements her soch for her future but also that she didn't change like other girls she still had that purani soch in her the culture, the respect no pride just a smile full of happiness. She pecked her forehead and this woke Navya up. "Daadi aap?" Navya shot up from her bed and she smiled at her Dadi.

"Dadi aap ne kyu ese taklif ki hum khud uthjate hai!" Navya hugged her Dadi and she embraced her lovingly. "Beta, kya hum itne bara ho chuke hai ke hum aapne pauti ko nahin utha sakte hai?" Dadi became sad. Navya held her and said "Dadi aap to hamari rajkumari hai, woh bollywood ki actresses aap ke same kuch bhi nahin dikhte hai, Dadaji to aap se bohot pyaar karte teh!" Dadi was shy and Navya was giggling away she pulled her cheeks and said "Mere pyaari Dadi!" They hugged again and then Meeta shouted "Navya jaldi aaja! Dadi and Navya broke the hug and Dadi cupped Navya's face. "Chalo aab chalte hai nakar thumari Maa hum par chilayenge ki Dadi pautiya par bohot lad kar rahe hai!" Dadi giggled and went out of the room to go and have her evening meal. Navya stretched and had a big smile on her lips. They all had dinner together and had a laugh and over at Anant's house there was a quiet meal where there was no discussion other than what food they want. Anant really wished that his family was more open more lively. Anant looked over at his Baba and just smiled. He excused himself of the table and went upstairs and started reading Advanced Medicine. He tucked into his bed and rang Ranbir for a bit. "Hey yaar you okay?" Anant smiled down the phone as he continued "Yaar aaj kuch alag lag raha tha, you know acha feeling tha mere andar!" Anant blushed a little as he thought of Navya his new friend. "Yaar aaj kuch naya toh hua nahin toh pata nahin tujhe ese kyun feeling ho rahi thi? Shayad thume pata hai ki kya honga woh?" Ranbir smiled as he knew exactly what happened. He liked Navya. He saw it in his eyes in the canteen and he wasn't sure at the time. Ranbir laughed "Yaar tu fikar mat kar shayad tu sirf aaj khush tha aur din acha bita aur kuch nahin honga!" Ranbir didn't want to confront him or say anything he wanted his friend to say it to him when he is ready. After their conversation Anant put the phone down as his brother Mohan walked into the room. "Hey Anant tu kesa hai mere bhai kitne din se tere saath baat nahin ki theek se!" Mohan came and hugged him sideways. "Anant tu kya paar raha hai, advanced medicine!" Mohan never was interested in Sciences he loved business, economics! Both brothers' weren't interested in their family trade as much but Mohan had decided that he will take over Bajpai Publications very soon after this year. He wanted to take the burden of his father's shoulders and take upon one of the biggest decisions of his life. He also had to get married. There were a few proposals but they just didn't work out. "Bhaiya aaj din bohot acha chala dost se mila aur naye dost se bhi bohot masti ki, lekin yeh hua!" he raised his hand and looked at the bandage done by Navya. "Anant yeh kese hua?" Mohan grabbed his hand and was shocked "Me Maa se!" Anant stopped him. "Its okay bhaiya don't worry my new friend bandaged it for me!" Anant pictured her eyes her smile. The twinkle in her expressions when she smiled. "Eh Romeo kike bare me soch raha hai, kya koi ladki pasand aaye?" Mohan giggled as Anant went a bit shy. "Bhaiya me aur ladki I don't think so!" Anant pulled a face at him and he brushed it aside. Anant couldn't stop thinking about her today. As the night passed he slept with his book over his face to welcome a new day at college with his new friend Navya.

Precap: Navya and Anant have been chosen to be medical captains for a project. They have to work together and dissect a heart and show it to the class. They share an eye lock as they walk up to the front side by side.
