as i watch the epi...or hear it...i recall Shilpa's post & cant seem to shake a sense of sadness engulfing me...i am sure the story is progressing...but i am full of trepidation here.
From Navya's character viewpoint she is trying to grow up, mature & become the devi maiyya that women are expected to become post marriage, but there are so many grey areas, unanswered questions & i begin to think why are half baked characters & ideas thrust down our throats. Too many what if & if onlys being left dangling on lose ends...
* Its confusing to always hear that Navya is a guest in the Loony Mansion, but is expected to behave in a typical bahu way...they keep saying they will teach her the ways later, but they expect her to pick on them herself now..err why?
* Sugandha trying to save Navya from future folly by being harsh... guess she's learnt that trick from hubby dear, but she is a woman & shudnt she hav recalled her own terrifying start,yea? She was lost in her own world as well...but a bit of reassurance to the mehmaan would go a long way in adhering to "atithi devo bhava" no? Why is she becoming so cold all of a sudden? Why cant the soon to be MIL & DIL connect? Its not rocket science...& its one of the most beautiful rishta in the world if it gets off on the right footing!!
* Anant seems to live in fool's paradise, or is he a self-centered character? Yea he gave us a glimpse of his angry look when faced with Gautii, but was it a random awakening of conscience? Love faces a lot of tests, but after so many trials & tribulations, wont you at least be at par mentally & emotionally with ur partner? Guess mostly not...but u def learn the art of measuring ur speech & actions. Mebe we have an exception here... or as Preet said...he is a better male version of Rama..yikes!
*How come Nimi didnt notice Navya was melancholic by the window...when u r tired u do think of nothing but snuggling in ur blanket, but Navya's miseries were plain to the eye...another character who doesnt see the obvious or lives in her lala land?
* Ritch i hear u...Rama & Shagun even on the phone r getting on my nerves...what is this constant reference to the latter?? Is she going to make a reappearance or what?
* I wonder why did edit Sanjay chacha(i mentioned Paraag earlier...see how memorable he is!!)get worthwhile dialogues only after he got another show?
On a funny note I wish...Om's reason for disappearing from home every yr on that particular day is bcoz he has another family tucked in another part of the world!! That would shake all The Bajpayees up!!!!
Anyways...u always put down a good analysis Ritch & its a pleasure reading ur takes & participating in the discussions in our adda...if only we could capture our old glorious days when we all were not so depressed by the storyline & cud hav fun without bothering abt stalkers,bashers etc etc...
