Mistaken Identity
As me and my friends were dissecting last night's episode on the adda, and speculating what could happen in Navya's stay in her sasuraal, we all came up with a rather funny idea. So I thought, I'd make a One-Shot out of it, so that the rest of you could enjoy as well. Ideas are not completely mine, its kinda a combined effort of Tanu, Pooja and me!
This one's dedicated to all my adda-mates!

Author's Note: For the sake of my story, BD's room is right next to Nimisha's room. As we know, Navya is gonna room with Nimisha. Mohan and Rama's room is on the ground floor, near the stairs, and next to his room is the fuse box.
Things that have happened prior to this particular scenario: Its Navya's second night at the Bajpaayee Mansion, and she's not too happy with the way things have been going. Being a future DIL, she was not allowed to sit for meals along with the family; instead, she was asked to stand and serve food along with her MILs and Rama. BD's incessant taunts were also troubling her, not to mention the fact that she hadn't been able to spend time with Anant since she entered the house, cause whenever the two of them tried to talk alone, BD magically appeared out of nowhere. Anant too was very pissed at the things taking place in his house, and he could make out that Navya was very upset with everything. He had not been able to talk to her since she'd come, so he decided to make a plan. But for that, he needed to talk to Nimisha.
And this is where our story starts.
Anant texted Nimisha, asking her to come to his room alone. At this point of time, Navya was sitting on the bed in the room that she shared with Nimisha, and was preparing something for the magazine, as Amar and Sharmishtha had unanimously decided that she'd be the one handling the entire anniversary issue, under their guidance.
(Anant's Room)
"Kya hua bhai? Aapne sms karke kyun bulaaya? Kamre mein hi aa jaate, mujhse bhi baat hoti, aur Navya ke saath bhi!" said Nimisha with a wicked glint in her eye.
"Navya se baat? Nimisha, jabse voh is ghar mein aayi hai, maine use do line bhi nahi bole yaar! Jab bhi baat karne ki koshish karta hoon, BD beech mein aa jaati hai! Navya bahut upset hai, aur mujhse yeh nahi dekha jaa raha hai. Isiliye toh, main teri help maang raha hoon!" said Anant with a pout.
"Kaisi help?"
"Abhi tum jaao, aur kareeb raat ke 12 baje, Navya se keh do ki tum bahar jeeju se baat karne jaa rahi ho. Phir jab tum bahar aaoogi, tum mere kamre mein aa jana. Main phir jaake fuse nikaal doonga, jisse ghar ke saare lights chale jaayenge. Tab main tumhare kamre mein jaake Navya se thodi baat kar loonga!" said Anant mischievously.
"Waah bhai! Aapne toh poori planning kar lee hai! Not bad! Accha theek hai, aapke liye main yeh bhi kar loongi!" said Nimisha with a laugh, as she walked out of his room, towards her room.

Navya was sitting on the bed and doing her work. When Nimisha entered, she barely acknowledged her presence and continued her work, as she had to submit it the next day, and she had not been able to do it cause of the excessive house-work she had to do. Nimisha grabbed a book and tried to read, as she kept checking the time. Finally, at like 12 sharp, she got up.
"Navya, voh mujhe Nikhil se thodi baat karni hai, toh main zara do minute ke liye bahar jaa rahi hoon, theek hai?" said Nimisha, as she walked out of the room, giggling to herself.
Navya finally looked up from her laptop and smiled in assent. She watched as Nimisha went out, and realised that she too had finished her project. She stifled a yawn, switched off her laptop, and went over to the bathroom to take a shower before she slept.
Nimisha on the other hand, entered Anant's room, and gave him the green signal to go and begin his work. Anant hugged her in joy, and ran off to execute phase 2 of his plan.
Anant crept stealthily down the stairs, praying to God that no-one should be around at this hour. He managed to sneak down to the fuse-box and removed the fuse. With a click, all the lights in the house switched off. Anant was very happy with himself, as he walked up to Nimisha's room to go and meet Navya.
(BD's room)
*inner monologue* "Hari Om Prabhujee! Ee kaa ho gaya! Is mue light ko bhi abhai jaana tha? Ab ee mara torach kahaan gaya?" BD began to fumble around as she tried to feel for the torch. "Ab chod hi dete hain. Nimisa ke kamre mein toh ee sab tantar hoga, hum oohan se hi le lete hain." *inner monologue ends* BD tried to feel her way out of the room, and before she reached the door, she hit her knee against a small side table.
"Hari Om Prabhujee! Is mez ko toh kal hi Om se keh ke nikaal dete hain!" exclaimed BD as she finally made it out of the room.
(Nimisha's room)
Anant entered, and was surprised to see that Navya wasn't there. He though that she'd probably gone to find Nimisha or someone, and so he decided to wait near the door, so he could corner her the moment she entered the room. He smiled to himself, thinking about how happy he'd be.
Navya on the other hand, was really terrified inside the bathroom, which was pitch-black. She was just halfway through her shower when the light's switched off, and she decided to cut short her bath and get out of the bathroom as soon as possible.
At that very moment, Nimisha's room swung open slightly. Anant was delighted, and pulled the person inside, closed the door, kept his hand on her mouth, and pushed her against the door.
"Toh meri jhalli kahaan se aa rahi hai? Hey Bhagwaan, kitna hilti ho tum? Koi nahi dekh lega! Yeh sab maine hi kiya hai, sirf tumse milne ke liye. BD kabse humein baat nahi karne de rahi thi naa? Isiliye maine fuse nikaal diya, taaki hum dono mil sakein!" whispered Anant, as he nuzzled his face close to her neck.
(Fusebox)
Mohan had left the room cause Rama began to complain about how the AC had stopped working. He decided to check the fusebox, and was surprised to see that the main fuse was missing! He hurried to the store room, and with the help of his torch, he found another fuse. He rushed back to the fuse-box and put the fuse in it, and the lights came back on!
(Nimisha's room)
Navya came out of the bathroom just as the lights switched on. To her horror, she saw Anant pinning BD to the door, his face buried in her neck and BD's eyes looked as if they were about to pop out of the socket! Anant too realised what had he done, and jumped back, as if he'd been electrocuted!
"Hari Om Prabhujee! Toh ee sab karaamaat aapka kiya dhara hai Anant Saahab? Bhaisaahab! Sugandha, Om, Mohan, jaldi aaiye! Dekho, humara Niraala Babua kya gul khila raha hai?" said BD in anger.
Everybody switched on their lights, and rushed out of their rooms to the source of the commotion. On entering, they saw Navya clutching a towel and standing in a corner of the room, while Anant was standing with his head downcast in front of BD.
"Kya hua Saraswati? Itni raat ko aap shor kyun kar rahi hain? Anant? Aap is kamre mein kya kar rahein hain?" asked Baba, with an eerie and unreadable expression on his face, eyes bulging out.
*"Ee kaa bataayega? Hum hi bataayenge! Aaj kal ke launde lapat toh sharam haya sab pee chuke hain! Jahaan ladki dekhi nahi ki haath marne lag jaate hain! Umar aur rishte ka bhi kauno lihaaz nahi rakha aapke sapoot ne! Ee light-vaight sab Anant ka hi karaamaat hai, taaki oo apni hone waali mehraru ke saath gutur-gu kare! Bhaisahab, humne toh pehle hi kaha tha ki ee Roopmati humare khandaan ke liye theek naahi hai! Ab hum ek aur din is ghar mein naahi rahenge! Hamari izzat daao pe lagadi aapke sapoot ne!"* said BD, as she shook her head from left to right, a couple of tears falling from the corners of her eyes.
"ANANT! Yeh sab kya hai? Humne aapki shaadi is ladki ke saath tay kardi, ise yahaan rehne ke liye bula liya, iska yeh matlab toh nahi ki tum iske saath yeh sab ashleel harkatein karne ki koshish karo? Babujee ke diye hue sanskaar kuch yaar hain, ki sab mitti mein mil gaye?" thundered Om, fire raging in his eyes.
Seeing all this, Navya who was already very tired, went into shock, and she fainted. As she fell down, everybody rushed to her except BD, who's eyes became big as she exclaimed in shock.
"Ab ee liyo! Isi ki kami thi! Nayi Dulhan ko aaye do din nahi hue, ki voh behosh bhi ho gayi! Hari Om Prabhujee! Anant ke is harkat ko dekh kar humein toh lagta hai ki ee ladki pet se hai! Aur karo, ee lowee marriage! Hari Om Prabhujee!"
The entire Bajpaayee Khandaan stared at her. Rama tried hard to stifle her laughter, Om glared at Anant, Baba's eyes bulged out as he kept looking from Anant and Navya to BD, while the rest of the family stared at BD in shock, wondering if she'd lost her sanity, or they had!
And that's all from me! After this, its pretty obvious there's gonna be loads of drama, and I didn't wanna write that, so I ended it here!
PS: The dialogue written between the two stars, are a mixture of spoof dialogues Tanu and me were writing in the adda. Credit goes to Tanu for it!
