Author's Note: Firstly, sorry for the delay in uploading, completely my fault. Things have been rather crazy at home, so I didn't get much time. Secondly, I know this chapter is rather drab and boring, and I am myself not very happy with it. Lets call it a filler chapter? I'll upload the next chapter within a day or two, just be patient with me. Next chapter has its good AnYa moments, and that's my promise to you! (Anant's Car, in front of Navya's Tayaajee's house)

"Main nikalti hoon Anant." said Navya with a smile on her face.

"Mann toh karta hai ki tumhe pakad ke rakhoon, aur apne se door kahbi naa jaane doon. Lekin kya karoon, tumhe jaana hi padega. Raat ko call karogi?" said Anant hopefully.

"Vaada toh nahi kar sakti, lekin haan, koshish zaroor kar sakti hoon. Agar sab so gaye hain, toh main dekhoongi. Ab jaati hoon." said Navya, as she reached across to kiss him on the cheek before she left.

"Kaafi bold ho gayi ho! Pehle toh aise nahi karti thi!" said Anant teasingly.

"Tum jaise paagal ke saath reh reh kar, yeh sab toh karna hi padega naa?" said Navya with a laugh, as she got off from the car and went home. With a last smile and wave, she went inside and closed the door behind her, and tip-toed off to her room to change. Anant smiled to himself as he turned the car and drove off to where he was staying.

(Navya's Tayaajee's house, Kanpur)

Navya couldn't believe what all had just happened. She didn't understand what had made her do all that. Never before had she been so close or intimate with anyone. She was initially against the idea of getting intimate, but with Anant, everything seemed just so perfect and right! If the phone hadn't rung, who knows what would have happened! But not for once did she regret anything that had happened. She loved the guy, and was ready to do anything for him.

She went and sat in front of her dresser and began to remove all her jewelry. With each piece of jewelry she removed, she remembered where Anant had touched her, and where Anant had kissed her, and a small blush began to creep up her cheeks, as she smiled at the memory. After removing all the jewelry, she went into the washroom to take a shower.

(Anant's cousin's house, Kanpur)

As Anant walked into the house, he had a goofy grin on his face. He'd told bhai and Nimisha where he was going, and they had told the rest of the family that he was not feeling to well. As he turned back to close the door behind him, he saw the cars of the rest of the family had begun to pull into the drive-way, so he shut the door and ran up to his room. He changed out of his sherwani into his normal clothes and jumped into his bed, and began to remember the time spent with Navya.

While he knew what he did was technically against all the teachings of his family, he still didn't feel he did anything wrong. Every moment spent with Navya, and every time he touched her, it just intensified his love for her, and he was glad she didn't take anything in the wrong way.

Mohan had seen Anant's car in the driveway, and decided to go and check on him, to see whether everything had gone fine. When he entered Anant's room, he saw him sleeping with a huge smile on his face, and decided to leave him alone, as he didn't want to disturb him.

(Kitchen, Navya's Tayajee's house, Kanpur)

It was the day of the mehendi. The mehendi had to be sent from the groom's side to the bride, and some members of the groom's family had to attend the function. The groom's parents, Dadi, Meeta and Deepak couldn't go, because they had to handle the ceremony from there. Renuka realised this, and took this as an opportunity to help her sister meet her boyfriend.

"Tayeejee, maa, aap dono toh yahi pe rahengi. Lekin Ravi ke kareebi rishtedaaro mein se kisiko toh jaana chahiye naa? Toh agar aap sab kahein, toh main, Navi aur Gautam chale jaaye? Humari toh yahaan pe zaroorat bhi nahi hai naa?"

Navya, who was at that time drinking water in the kitchen, choked on her sip of water. She looked at her sister, who just winked back at her, and pretended to be engrossed in the tomatoes that she was cutting up.

"Haan bhai, ee baat bhi theek hai! Ab yahaan pe in dono ka toh koi kaam nahi hoga! Ek shaadi shuda aurat ko toh jaana hi chahiye, aur Renuka bhala akele kyun jaaye? Navya, tu bhi Renu ke saath hi jaa! Kyun Bahu?" said Dadi.

Navya's Tayeejee nodded in assent, and walked off from there. She really hated having these people around, but since they were helping her, she couldn't really complain, as she'd gotten hold of some unpaid labor!

As Dadi and Meeta went out of the kitchen, Navya stared at her sister in shock.

"Di! Aap yeh sab mujhe Anant se milane ke liye kar rahi hai?" asked Navya in glee.

"Haan Navi. Main jaanti hoon ki tum dono ek dusre se kitna pyaar karte ho, aur maa jo bhi kar rahi hai, sahi nahi kar rahi hai. Bina Anant ko jaane, usne tum dono pe yeh sazaa thop di , jo bilkul bhi sahi nahi hai. Tum bahut lucky ho Navi, ki koi tumse itna pyaar karta hai. Sab tumhare jaise lucky nahi hote." replied Renu with a sad smile on her face.

"Di, thank you thank you thank you so much!"

"Accha yeh sab chod, yeh bata ki kal tune aur Anant ne kiya kya?"

Navya didn't know how to reply to that. What happened with Anant, was a very private and intimate moment, and she didn't want to let anyone know about it. Rather guiltily, she replied.

"Woh bas hum restaurant mein baith kar kuch baatein kar rahe the. Kaafi time se humne baat nahi ki naa, isiliye."

"Accha hai ki tum dono ne kuch ulta seedha nahi kiya, nahi toh main bhi tum dono ka milna rukva deti!"

Navya averted her eyes and turned to find some work to do, as she heard that line. She realised that there were certain things about her relationship that she couldn't share with anyone, not even her sister. While it really hurt her in doing so, she realised that no one would understand her feelings, except Anant, and so she decided to let it go.

(Anant's cousin's house, Kanpur)

Anant walked around the house with a goofy smile on his face, as he admired the decorations. He was excited about the fact that he was going to be able to meet Navya during the wedding as well, and she'd mentioned on their way back that she may get to return to Mumbai before the holidays ended. With that thought in the head, the entire world around him began to look brighter.

Mohan saw Anant walking around alone, and decided to talk to him about what happened with Navya.

"Anant, kal tum Navya se mile?"

"Haan bhai! Kal raat, meri zindagi ki sabse acchi raat thi! Navya aur main, itne dino baad, ek saath!" gushed Anant happily.

"Tu khush toh hai naa Anant?"

"Bahut khush hoon bhai! Navya ne meri zindagi badal di hai!" said Anant in glee.

"Accha hai Anant. Main tere liye bahut khush hoon. Lekin aage ka kya socha hai? Tujhe pata hai, Baba aur Papa tere liye rishta dhoondh rahe hain?" said Mohan rather pensively.

"Kya?" asked Anant in shock.

"Haan Anant. Mumbai mein hi mujhe pata chal gaya tha, lekin tera mood itna kharab tha, ki tujhe batana hi nahi chaha. Ab tu dekh Anant. Navya ke saath apna rishta mazboot kar."

"Bhai, main abhi usse shaadi nahi kar sakta!"

"Maine kab kaha ki tu usse shaadi kar? Main toh bas yeh keh raha hoon ki aisa kuch kar, ki agar koi emergency aa jaaye, toh tu hak se sab se keh sake ki Navya ke baare mein tere kya iraade hain!" said Mohan. He was about to say something else, but Rama came there.

"Ee liyo! Bhai bhai mein kya taak chal raha hai? Zara humein bhi batlaaiye!"

Anant and Mohan looked at each other in fear as they didn't know what to say.

"Woh Bhabhi, main Bhai se keh raha tha ki mujhe Mumbai jaldi jaana hai! Yahaan pe main bore ho raha hoon!"

"Ee liyo! Mumbai mein kaa hai ki aapko wahaan jaana hai?"

"Voh bhabhi, mere dost hain naa!"

"Arre haan! Aapki oo saheli, Nabya!" replied Rama, with a wicked glint in her eye.

Fortunately for Anant, Sugandha chose that very moment to call Rama and Mohan for some work. As the left, Mohan turned back and signalled Anant to think about what he just told him.

Anant thought about what Mohan had told him, and realised that he needed to do something to avert his wedding. He had to tell his family about Navya, in a way that they would accept her, and not create too many problems. But what could he do? Suddenly, an idea came into his mind, and he rushed off to find Mohan to tell him about it.

(Navya's Tayeejee's house, Kanpur)

Navya sat in front of her dresser, wearing a very pretty blue lehenga, as she put on some jewelry, all the while thinking that she would be meeting Anant. At that very moment, Meeta entered the room.

"Navya, jaldi kar! Renu aur Gautam kab se tera hi intezaar kar rahe hain!"

"Haan maa, bas ho gaya." said Navya, as she fixed her bindi in place and walked out of the room with her mother. On reaching the living room, she went and stood next to Renu, who was holding a big basket of mehendi in her hands. Tayeejee, on spotting Navya, dumped a basket of shagun ka saamaan in her hands.

"Dhyaan se jaana haan beta?" said Dadi in concern.

Renu, Navya and Gautam smiled as they walked out of the house to the car.

(Anjali's house, Kanpur)

Navya, Renu and Gautam entered the house, and were impressed with the decorations that the Bajpaayees had done. The moment they entered, Sugandha, Savita, Rama, BD and Anjali's mother came to the door to greet them. Rama was shocked to see Navya with the mehendi and shagun ka saaman, but before she could say anything, they had been ushered inside. Navya too was rather worried that Rama had recognised her, but she pretended as if everything was normal and interacted with everybody who came to talk to her.

Rama took this moment to try and bring out Anant and Navya's relationship out to the public, and went up to where Anant was standing with Mohan and Om. Anant still didn't know that Navya was there at the function.

"Ee lo debarjee! Aap yahaan kya kar rahe hain? Udhar aapki phriend aayi hui hai naa? Kya naam tha uska? Nabya! Lagta hai ki dulhe ke yahaan se aayi hai!" said Rama, with an evil smile.

Anant was shocked to hear Rama talk like this. He didn't know what to answer, as his father was staring at him in a rather angry way. He was about to reply something, when to his surprise Nimisha came there.

"Kya bhabhi! Navya MERI saheli hai! Aapki yad-dash badi kamzor hai!" said Nimisha, winking at Anant as she said so.

Rama glared at Nimisha, as she said the last line, and walked off from there with a huff. Mohan smiled at Anant as he struck up a conversation with his father, leaving Anant and Nimisha to talk alone. He dragged her off to a place where it was crowded and no one from their family could hear them.

"Thank you soo much Nimi! Tune aaj mujhe itne BADE musibat se bachaya! Tu bol, tujhe kya chahiye?" gushed Anant happily.

"Bhai, ab toh aap apni Navya se jaake mil leejeeye. Iska hisaab baad mein kar denge! Lekin aapse gift toh zaroor loongi!" said Nimisha with a laugh.

Anant was delighted that he would get to meet Navya again, and he began to scan the room to look for her. After searching for a long time, he saw her sitting with her sister and his mother! He realised there was no way he could talk to her in front of his mother, so he grabbed a chair and sat right opposite her, trying to catch her eye.

It was after another 10 minutes that he finally caught her eye. She looked at him and smiled beautifully. Anant thought to himself, that he was extremely lucky to find such a beautiful girl, who only had eyes for him. He kept staring at Navya, who kept stealing glances at him while talking to all the ladies around her.

At that moment, the singer announced that the dance floor was opened for anyone who wanted to dance. Nimisha and all the others took this chance to go and dance.

"Beta, aap bhi jaake un sab ke saath dance keejeeye." said Sugandha rather sweetly.

"Nahi auntyjee, main theek hoon." replied Navya meekly.

Nimisha saw that Navya was sitting down, and she went over to her to drag her to the dance floor.

"Nahi Nimisha, mujhe nahi aana!"

"Navya, main kuch nahi sunoongi, aana toh padega!" said Nimisha with a grin on her face, as she dragged Navya to the dance floor. Both of them began to dance together to the songs that were being played, and Anant just kept staring at Navya. All he could think about was her beauty and grace as she danced.

Nimisha saw this, and went over to Anant.

"Bhai, yaheen se Navya ko dekhte rahenge, yaa phir uske saath dance bhi karenge? Chaliye!" said Nimisha, as she dragged Anant along with her to the dance floor.

Anant and Navya were thrilled to see each other on the dance floor again, as they danced along with Nimisha. At that very moment, Savita called Nimisha to put mehendi on her hand, and she left them to dance alone. Anant just smiled at Navya and whispered "Ma'am, aaj aap chaand se bhi zyaada khoobsurat lag rahi hain!"

Navya blushed, and positively beamed at Anant when he said that. She was about to reply to him when Nimisha came there and asked, "Navya, mehendi nahi lagani? Chalo, mehendi lagate hain! Sorry bhai!"

"Yeh Nimisha bhi naa! Hamesha kabab mein haddi ban jaati hai!" said Anant, annoyed.

Nimisha made Navya sit next to her and a girl came over to do her mehendi. Anant began to hover around Navya, as he kept making small talk with Nimisha, and occasionally with Navya as well. He wouldn't let Navya anywhere out of sight today!

"Didi, aapke mehendi mein koi akshar lagwaana hai?" asked the girl who was doing Nimisha's mehendi.

Nimisha smiled shyly and said, "Haan, N likh do."

"Aur didi aapko?"

Navya looked at Anant who at that moment was talking to Mohan. She smiled, remembering the night they spent together and said "Haan. A likh deejeeye."

Anant heard this statement and was absolutely delighted. He jumped up in the air like a little kid, much to Navya's amusement, who burst out laughing. This gesture of his, however, didn't go too well with the Bajpaayees. Bua Dadi chose that very moment to go up to Anant and give him a lecture.

"Ee kya ho raha hai? Tumhe kauno saram hai ki naahi? Bhaisahaab ka naam yahaan pe mitti me milaye rahe ho! Hari Om Prabhujee!"

"Sorry Bua Dadi!" replied Anant meekly.
