So, what's the real reason for him quitting the show, we ask. He says, "After doing many Bollywood films, I felt that I should try TV if a performance-oriented role comes my way. So when producer Yash (Patnaik), an old friend, approached me for 'Nagarjuna' I was quite happy to accept it. But things work differently in films and TV. We have time to rehearse and prepare for our role in a film, but on TV, scenes come at the last minute. In addition, the channel and the production house also have their own take as to how a character has to be shaped. By the time my scenes and dialogues come to me, there is hardly any time left to discuss or improve it. So, there were creative differences over it, but nothing that can't be sorted out. I have informed the production house that they have to do something about my role or I will focus on other things."
The actor adds further, "We are trying to reach a consensus where my track should continue only if the content is good, otherwise they should chop it off."
