What kind of a sore loser is Shankachurna??

I know he's jealous of Arjun and even hates him to the core but how is attacking someone weaker than him going to give him the recognition he's looking forward too?? How is challenging someone weaker than him even going to prove anything other than the fact he's a sore loser!!
