Joke of the century yaar...1.5 k per episode for him...Most successful and highest paid actors in tv industry is paid 1-1.5k per episode like Ronit roy,Ram kapoor,Karan patel,Divyanka,Hina khan,Sakshi ,Mona singh then how come he is getting paid 1.5k for kawach who dont have any successful career or work in his kitty ...kuch bhi

Even i agree with you. But they were getting 1.5 lakhs per episode for the shows which used to come daily.
That was a weekend show.
Similar to how mouni roy is geting 1.75 lakhs per episode for naagin which is a weekend show
And you are writing "k" everywhere. "k" is for thousands. no offence but please correct it.

Vivek didn't work in the UK as a business analyst for those 3-6 years. He studied there till 2009 and was forced to come back to India due to recession in 2010 as job sector was squeezed. He worked as a product analyst (not business analyst in an IT firm in Chandigarh till mid 2011 before shifting to Mumbai after winning a local modeling contest in Chandigarh. He's been in Mumbai and a part of this industry as a ramp model since 2011. He tried to get tv shows for years but couldn't, finally got a chance to play a cameo role in Star Plus show Veera in 2013. He got his second tv show YHM in 2014 and his luck changed dramatically only when he started to date the lead actress. That's Vivek's self version thanks to his so easy accessible for giving interviews about all these matters at various times.

@Light blue: Divyanka (and also her fans) used to say the exact same things about her ex in press media. How he was the best for her, how he couldn't be more happier, how it showed all in her eyes...you know all the mushy stuffs. We now know the reality, don't we. It's very tough to know the real picture about the stars based on some social media interactions. Having said that, it doesn't imply that Divyanka can't be lucky second time. If she is indeed...good for her.

@Green: Very true. Apart from DT, Bharti and Shoib, other contestants are not occupied anywhere else other than Nach.

Where do you guys get this ridiculous numbers? 1.5 lakh/episode...lmao. This is just ridiculous for a novice even if it was just a weekend show. Kawach was Vivek's first and only show till date as a lead actor. There are more than 20 handsome hunk side actors on tellyworld who would do any Ekta shows for FREE if lead actor role is offered to them. Actors who never did any lead role be it film or tv show never get even a modest pay, let alone 1.5 lac/epi or 1-2 crores/film...rofl. First show/film is to make impression, if it is a success they charge higher in the new contract for the same show after some months and for film actors, they charge higher in the next. Kawach was an utter disappointment, so even there it had no options left.

By the way, Mouni doesn't get 1.75 lac/epi now, it's much more than that. That amount could be her initial pay at the start. Naagin went on to become a massive hit, now she charges same amount (if not more) as per other Balaji lead actresses working 7 days, doesn't matter if she has to work less. She's earned it with such a massive hit.
