How difficult was it to face each other when you guys were having differences?
Nandish: We both had apprehensions initially. We feared that the 'too much' caption of the show might lead to some controversial things. However, we decided to do the show and once we got used to the pressure of dance performances as well love challenges - I realized that the show was actually helping us get to know each other better.
Rashami: Now when I look back I feel we were fighting for silly reasons. In our daily lives we stop valuing important bonds and are sometimes unable to communicate. Our hectic schedules, work pressures ruined our happiness. But, this show helped us figure out what was amiss in our marriage and now it is great to be together.
Was the format of show too tough?
Rashami: When I did 'Jhalak...', I worked with a professional dancer. But here, it was Nandish, we had our set of problems initially as we've never done a dance-act together. So, it was tough.
Nandish: Actually we had to work both on dance performances as well as our emotional equations. But later when I talked to love challenges' task creative - I learnt about how much thought was put up in designing the tasks for everyone - it surely worked as a boon for us.
Visits to Gujarat are always special for you two, isn't it?
Rashami: Absolutely, I love coming here. People have bestowed so much love on me - and they not only remember me as Tapasya but know me by real name - and that is what makes me happy. On this trip, I also made it a point to meet my bua who is not keeping well.
Nandish: I'm always treated here as Gujarat ka jamaai. And thanks to Rashami, I understand the language completely, I can't speak though. But I love the Gujarati cuisine - right from meethi daal to dhokla to undhiyu - every dish is just so scrumptious. And my mom in law is an excellent cook - she makes sure to treat me to these Gujarati delicacies.
And what do you guys prefer doing when you get some free time together?
Nandish: I love photography and whenever we are travelling together and try my hand on camera - Rashami is my model. We also enjoy watching movies together.
Rashami: Yes that's true. We also catch up with friends and family. I love to go on long drives but Nandish doesn't let me drive because he says I should only get into F 1 races instead of trying my hand at long drives.
