his wife was not well due to some back problem,i think..and they couldnot allow shakti to continue alone since it is a couple dance show...

No they weren't eliminated, Shakti was disqualified

Werent eliminated, Shakti actually did performance once all by himself, but the next time he came on the judges said until when is this going to happen, so it didnt work out well and he took his name himself
