Apparently for the film Saawariya SLB copied Rakhi Sawant's mannerisms to the hilt in Rani's role. The entire role had the feel Rakhi would have given and reminded the audience of the item girl. Right from the gait to the language spoken the entire entourage was copied. For this Rani had to study Rakhi and hence the latter was invited on the sets of the film before Rani started the shoot, the item girl was present for a good three hours on the sets, here while SLB made her feel like a queen Rani was busy studying her moves.

After seeing Saawariya, Rakhi Sawant was touched by the way Sanjay Leela Bhansali paid tribute to her through Rani Mukherjee. It seems SLB invited Rakhi on the sets of the film, while shooting.
