TV stars and what they're watching on the tube

Small screen stars don't watch shows from their own industry! We asked our television stars what they like to watch on television.

Rajiv Khandelwal
I don't like watching anything on TV. There's nothing that turns me on or is worth watching on television! I used to watch Mahabarat earlier and when I was really young I remember watching Malgudi Days with a lot of interest.

I don't get enough time to watch anything religiously so I don't get hooked to any shows. I might watch an episode and then miss the next so I lose interest in what's happening in the story. I don't mind reality shows. I saw a few episodes of Fear Factor which were quite good. One show which I couldn't stand was Bigg Boss so I never watched that.

I watch films all the time. I catch up with movies on HBO or Zee Cinema. I can watch any kind of movie. I've seen a little of Everybody Loves Raymond and it would be nice to be on a show like that. It's got to be interesting and something innovative for audiences to watch it. I would never do a corny show.

Gauhar Khan
I watch all the possible reality shows! I was hooked on to Bigg Boss, Indian Idol and Fame Gurukul. Now I'm watching American Idol and I never miss an episode of The Apprentice. I really like the kind of projects the teams are given to do on the show.

I just love American shows like Seinfeld, Lost (which they no longer air anymore) and Desperate Housewives.

I'm not into Indian TV serials. I'm not inclined to watch them because they all have the same story. Indian television is not going in a good direction. The serial I watch is Zaara on Sahara One. I'm very biased and I only watch it because my sister, Negar Khan, plays a role in it.

I used to watch whatever was on TV when I was small. I was a very active kid so I wasn't in front of the box the whole day. As I've grown older and gotten busy I've started watching a lot of television. It's a great way to relax. I'm also a big movie buff.

I wouldn't mind acting in any American sitcom. The way they write their scripts and characters is mind blowing! Even a small character stands out and shines.

Shweta Kwatraa
I don't watch too much TV. I don't get the time and I think there is so much more to do than just sit in front of the television! I watch some specific shows which I like--like KBC and Koffee with Karan and Friends is something I tend to stop at when I'm surfing through channels. I don't follow the soaps at all. I don't watch any shows from my industry except for mine if they're airing.

I've never watched TV while growing up. I was always busy with other things. Rachel from Friends is a character I would love to play because I think it would be very easy for me. I see a lot of similarities between her character and me like she is a girl who is clumsy trying to be sexy!

Gouri Tonk
I watch cartoons; Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Mickey Mouse and Friends, Dragon Tales, Spiderman, Superman- I just love them and I can watch them with my kids. I don't watch serials because I'm not very fond of them but I watch my husband's serials Karam Apna Apna and Kesar. When Nach Baliye was on I used to watch it.

I used to watch Hum Log Duniya, Mahabharat and Ramayan a long time ago. Now I watch loads of films of all kinds- Hollywood and Bollywood. I'm a film freak and can never walk out half way through a movie. I'm fond of thrillers and romance. I think Yash Chopra is king when it comes to romantic films. No one can make a film with such feeling as him; no one can even come close to it. Second to him is Karan Johar. His production is amazing from the senery to the richness of the whole movie.

Right now I don't think there is any ideal serial which I would like to be in. they don't make them like they used to. I would have loved to play Udaan. If they were ever making a remake then I'll be there for the lead!

Kashmeera Shah
Friends is my favourite show which I watch all the time. I also love The Apprentice and have starting following the present season of American Idol. The only Indian show I ever watched was Bigg Boss.

When I was in my teens I never watched television at all. I was too busy getting my portfolio done, modeling and trying to get into films.but when I was a kid I would watch Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Karamchand and Chayageet. Chayageet was my all time favourite!

I'd watch the old Star Trek as well, the one with William Shatner. My dream show to be on would be Lost or 24. I wanted to be on Lost so much that I even auditioned for it! As for reality shows I would love to participate in Survivor!
