Bakhtyaar, Tanaaz booted out of semis

Even though the couple scored more than the Tonkks, they failed to get an entry into the finals because they fell short of public votes.

When the results were declared, Bakhtyaar went numb with shock while Tanaaz broke down. When contacted, the couple was not willing to speak. While Bakhtyaar refused to comment, Tanaaz responded by saying, "We have no clue why and how it happened. But it happened due to the public votes."

Our source on the set says, "Both of them are shattered."

Saturation point

Gauri says she could not see the couple crying and tried consoling them. "Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar had taken the competition very seriously. It could be that their extra seriousness cost them a place in the finals. We all have days when things don't go right for us. It's human nature to get saturated and run out of ideas after a while," says the actress.

Competition still on

However, Gouri also maintains that Yash and her had put in a lot of hard work since day one. They were also lucky to have excelled at the right moment. "We even had another dance concept for this episode. That didn't come through because of lack of time, but even that would have been a sureshot winner. As for the finals, we will try our very best."

The ever-diplomatic Hussain did not want comment on Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar's ouster. But wife Tina agreed that people did not expect this result. When asked if the finals would now be relatively easier for them, she says, "No. The competition is not over yet."

This episode, shot on Wednesday evening at Film City, will air on Monday. The final episode is slated for December 18.
