If any contestant on Nach Baliye 2 on Star One performs well, you can be sure that Kunal Kohli would blow her or even him a kiss. But what Kunal probably didn't think was that this would end up becoming famous as his trademark style. "Like Saroj Khan has her seeti when she likes somebody's dance, I used to blow kisses and unknowingly, this has become my trademark style," says Kunal. But far from getting offended, the girls on the show seem to have taken it in the right spirit which is apparent from what they did recently. "The girls on the show dedicated the song Kiss ko pyaar karoon and brought out a huge red lip-shaped cake for me as it was my birthday. It was really embarassing!" he laughs.
The director says that although many people think it's easy being a judge, that's far from the truth. "It's a multi-fold responsibility," he says and adds that there is a huge percentage of people who take the show very seriously. "Also, the contestants put in so much of hard work. As a judge, I have to be fair and alert as I'm being judged by the audience as well as the media too," he adds.
Kunal's last film Fanaa managed to bring two of the biggest stars of the film industry together. The question on everyone's lips is — can it get bigger than this? "One can't think on those lines while making a film," believes Kunal. "Films become big only after their release. Before the release, everyone's making a Sholay!' he laughs. Kunal reveals that at the moment, he's in the middle of writing a script but it's too early to talk about it.
