Popularity or dance?

I realise that all the participants are well deserving and they all deserve a chance to stay in the competition for 1 reason or another but at the end of all this there is only going 2 b 1 winner.

In the article abt Rasik and Ketki going out of nb2, Gauri and Hiten got the maximum amount of votes, however in the show they got the second least score. But they r alot of people's favourites because they r popular tv stars and many people identify the couples as their onscreen characters.

Doesnt this make a difference when the janta votes? This show is about dance but does popularity of the couples intervene when it comes to the voting even if the couple isnt the best dancer? (Gauri and Hiten are just an example btw!😳) If popular jodis are kept instead of the better dancers is this right? What are your thoughts?

So do u think the audience votes according to popularity and not dance? Is this fair?

I really like Gauri and Hiten, they r a gr8 couple and hav awesome chemistry but they werent the best dancers on the show according to the points given and the dances of the other contestants. Their on screen image of Karan and Nandini r very popular however their dance wasnt the best out of all the contestants but they got the most votes.

I'm sure all the couples worked really hard whilst rehearsing for the show inc Gauri and Hiten and I'm not trying to say that they r really bad etc because they werent but yes I am emphasising this because i dont want people 2 get me wrong as GHT are an example!

(I apologise if I hurt anybody's feelings especially the GHT fans but its a question I thought of that could crop up during the course of the show)

Gauri and Hiten have proved in this round that they are capable........hence apart from Shweta and Manav they were the only ones who impressed the judged this week .... so trust me as one of their devoted fans........even i wont appreciate if they dont work harder and neither will any of their loyal fans.......they work hard and harder and we keep voting .... 😊

so pls everyone knows who gauri and hiten are, mentioning them as karan and nandani doesnt make a difference

Well, I agree with you to a certain extent. But lemme ask you this: Was Saroj fair in giving Raja and Shweta a 30 when she gave Varun-Raj a 0 because Varun wasn't dancing?

Most probably, you answer would be "No", if it isn't I'd love to hear the support going along with it. Gauri-Hiten WILL be voted on their popularity rather than their dance because people tend to vote for who their fave is. However, an article from Telly Chakkar said that Hiten AND Gauri had danced really well [source], so now starts the real competition. Even Shweta was voted for her popularity! I mean come on! Doesn't every one know how bad Raja danced? He was as good as not being there, but they got a 30, which in my eyes wasn't really fair to any of the contestants.

Saroj WAS biased. Shweta SOOO did not deserve a 30. Neither did Keerti-Sharad deserve a 21. She was biased towards them. In fact, even Kunal and Malaika were🤢.

Coming back to the point, people tend to vote based on their popularity rather than the dance because they want to put down other jodi supporters. Favouritism is what Viewers go by while voting and in this case, the judges too. Honestly, who in their right mind would give Shweta-Raja a 30❓ The trio pointed mistakes in Tina's dance but FAILED to recogonize Raja's mistakes? WHAT A JOKE! His movements were quite evident as they were close to nil.🤢

About your point as KN. KN is a VERY VERY popular jodi😉. You HAVE to accept that their fans WILL be baised NO MATTER WHAT. GHT will get through the first rounds like a breeze if their dance is OK. The audience will provide the vote.😛

Basically, it's favouritism that's coming in between votes. Some maybe furious of SK, KK and MK so they voted for the lowest one as they thought that the trio wasn't fair with their fave jodi. The song GHT picked. The movements were quite good compared to the actual version of it, which was mainly walking. SK,KK and MK should've been a BIT leniant with marks as it was the first episode and they were mostly newcomers to dance. SK, I found, was really really mean to Shweta K. She drove the girl to tears! SK needs to learn to be proactive. Perhaps this is what causes favouritism.

Now, I'd like to apologize for siding up with GHT and speaking crap about others but hey, I told you in the begining, that my response would be baised.

I get what ur saying, but some people may vote because they like GHT as Karan and Nandini and thats their fav couple, forgetting abt the dance which this show is abt.

I'm sure GHT will do much better if they keep practicing and r much more confident with what they do and how they do it😊

lol i actually hadnt read the article u provided but thanx😊 yep they have the support they need from the audiences😉 and theres no need to apologise its ur opinion. I agree Shweta and Raja shouldnt have got a 30 - shweta was good but raja didnt do much. Abt varun and raj i never watched the first season so i dont really know.

I dont like saroj, she is a well-known choreographer but when she puts people down its really sad cuz all the couples r trying and then she gives harsh words and that was the 1st episode!

So I guess u think that popularity and favouritism will get in the way of the votes???

Im glad 2 hear that GHT did well this week because I do like them😊
