Winners of Nach Baliye's 50 lakh prize money exuded grace and dedication, say voters...
for :
Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar proved it with their effort, hard work and dedication. As they themselves claimed, it was concerted effort over a good 16 weeks that fetched them the victory.
Despite the stiff competition that they faced all along from the nine well known small screen's, real-life couples, Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar pulled off the entire show with lan and panache. Incidentally, the fact that they were being the eldest couple participating in the competition, they showed the enthusiasm, grace and vivacity that would perhaps make a teenager cringe with embarrassment.
And yes, it must be mentioned that the winners made no bones about the success which they took home. Said Sachin, while speaking about the success, "Winning is very important to anybody who gives of his dedication, his time and effort. The entire credit of our success on this floor goes to my choreographers and also to the public who gave us their vote." Sachin added that they used to practise for about six to eight hours a day.
Incidentally, emotions ran high as the winners were announced. Sachin's daughter Shriya who was very enthusiastic about the show all along, was overwhelmed when their names were announced and her eyes were full of tears when her parents' names were announced as winners. "Supriya was suffering from a severe backache and she had a tough time. But the choreographers, my daughter Shriya and I encouraged her which did work well." he added.
Sachin said, "We haven't yet decided how we will spend the prize money but we are thinking of spending the money on our daughter's education." When asked about what plans he had up his sleeve to bag the next round of success in whatever domain, Sachin said he was making two films - one in Kannada and another in Marathi. "I am a filmmaker and I will go on with my job," he said.
Samiksha Solanki, who chipped in her bit for Sachin and Supriya's success by casting her vote in favour of the Pilgaonkar couple, said, "They were too graceful and were an inspiration for other competitors throughout the show. I am sure that the other competitors were picking up some points, viewing the winning jodi's performances."
Whereas Rohini Vardatil noted, "I voted for them simply because I could really make out the couple's dedication for and coordination with one another.
