Lights camera action. With this, the eighth week on Nach Baliye is embarked. After a steaming performance by Shabbir and Sangita, time for the real action.
The first performance of the day was by Sachin and Supriya. With full energy and expressions they perform to husn hai suhana from the film Coolie no.1.
Judges' comments:
Malaika: Supriya you were good. Sachin seems to have taken the last week's remark seriously and has put in a lot of effort, they looking over board. Other wise an amazing variety of steps, very well performed, nice tuning.
Farhan: Good choreography. The act was innovative. None of the moments were repeated.
Saroj Khan: Great. Very nice performance. Sachin looked like he is trying to put in a lot of effort, that somehow made it look odd. Nevertheless, nice concept well started.
Judges' scores:
Malaika Arora Khan: 8
Farhan Akhtar: 9
Saroj Khan: 9
Total Scores: 26/30
Yet another brilliant performance of the day by Rajeshwari and Varun who performed to Meri jaan mene kaha.
Judges' comments:
Malaika: Rajeshwari, you look beautiful and danced very gracefully. However there was something missing in Varun's performance. Overall, a good performance. It was a difficult song.
Farhan: Fantastic, very good. You are an example for the others, constantly trying something new. I have no complaints with your performance. It was a delight to watch you perform.
Saroj Khan: Superb. The choreographer has done a brilliant job.
Judges' scores:
Malaika Arora Khan: 9
Farhan Akhtar: 10
Saroj Khan: 9
Total Scores: 28/30
Breaking away from the Rajasthani feel, Poonam and Manish danced to Tu yaar tuhi dil dar from the movie Phir bhi dil hai hindustani.
Judges' comments:
Malaika: Didn't enjoy your performance. In the last two performances you showed a good variety, but today nothing was going well. Only the leg movements were good otherwise a thanda performance. It's a quarterfinal you can't give a mediocre performance.
Farhan: Disappointed. Conceptually what is trying to be conveyed? Nothing was clear. No motion, no sync. Something was amiss. Manish was very stiff. Performance wasn't upto the mark.
Saroj Khan: Bad choreography. The performance wasn't upto the mark. You should remain in Rajasthani. No need for romance. The choreographer has to be blamed. The other couples are rising while you are returning.
Judges' scores:
Malaika Arora Khan: 6
Farhan Akhtar: 5
Saroj Khan: 5
Total Scores: 16/30
The last performance of the day was by Delnaaz and Rajiv dancing to the popular Khullam khulla pyar karenge.
Judges' comments:
Malaika: Last episode, there was a lot of energy. You took it as a challenge. It is the 8th round. You need to showcase your dance moments. Very sorry to say, dance was lacking. You were not in sync. Both were not able to synchronize.
Farhan: In this entire competition, I have never felt the emotion of anger. But today, I am very angry with both of you. You have taken it lightly. It was sad and bad. After crossing so many hurdles, with a good song like this... Why would you do this?
Saroj Khan: Why have you selected this song? You can't dance on a song like this. You have taken Nach Baliye for granted.
Judges' scores:
Malaika Arora Khan: 3
Farhan Akhtar: 3
Saroj Khan: 4
Total Scores: 10/30
Vote Out Yet again, Delnaaz and Rajeev are in the danger zone along with Poonam and Manish. But this time, people decide otherwise and Delnaaz and Rajiv are declared eliminated.
Excerpts from an exclusive interview with the eliminated couple Delnaaz and Rajiv: Jodi No 08 Delnaaz and Rajiv Q: Your reactions over this elimination? Delnaaz: I would say kismet kuch had tak hi saath deti hai. Anyway, I would like to thank STAR One for giving us this opportunity to come on this show. We enjoyed every bit of Nach Baliye. After School and college, I have danced after almost 15 years. So it was great. Rajiv: I have got the label of bol baliye. But every moment spent on the sets of Nach Baliye is the most beautiful moment of my life. I consider it an honour as I got an opportunity to spend time with eminent people like Farhan, Malaika and Saroj Khan. I am proud of the fact that I reached the 8th round. I now agree to the fact that koshish karne wale ki har nahi hoti. |
