Atleast during her track Avni was the one who mattered the most in Neil's life... Inspite to knowing that he had fathered Mishti. (Fakely though)

But in Mithali's track..Neil was forced to choose her in the moment of weakness because for him giving a perfect family for Mithali was more important than learning about Avni's 10 years. His bitterness and anger for Avni refused to die down till the end. He went to extreme lengths.
