I m totally happy with the current story n everything (ignoring Saesha)
But I expected one more thing which isn't seen yet. Neela was equally a mother to Neil as to Avni n Neil too loved her like his own mother or maybe even more than her. Y is there no mention of Neela from Neil? Especially, Neela was the connecting link for Neil n Avni...Neil used to share with her everything he feels about Avni. Now when he misses Avni so much, does he not feel void of Neela maa too? It would have been such a good scene where he would be having a conversation about Avni with Neela's photo or something like that. Has Neil completely forgotten Neela? It must have been a disaster for him to loose 2 most imp women of his life back to back...y don't we get a scene where he grieves saying something like aap dono ek sath mujhe akela chhodke chali gayi...agar aaj aap hoti Neela maa toh mujhe aapka sahara milta Avni ka gum bhulaane mein...something on those lines. Neil had himself confessed it to Neela that his mother loves him but Neela maa understands him. I m sure had Neela been alive, Neil would have poured his heart out to her...he wouldn't have buried all his miseries in his heart. With both the women who used to understand him gone, y does he not remember Neela even once!! With this no mention of Neela maa, they are portraying it like she was just his wife's mother for Neil...which actually was not a case at all. I wish they show one such scene at least.
I don't think Neil has forgotten Neela at all but the pain of losing Avni is far greater than the pain of losing Neela. Avni was everything for Neil, she still is. Remember his dialogues about how there is no Neil without Avni? That is how much she means to him. Perhaps we will get scenes like that once Neil and Avni reunite and they can actually have that grieving process that Avni could not have before, just days after her mother's death Vidyut threatened the lives of her loved ones which is why I further sympathize and understand why she did what she did. Those wounds were still fresh for her.
