It is not easy to build viewership. After the initial post leap a year ago, I think it took about 3 months to gain its viewership to 2 plus.
The show was doing very well that the CVS became over confident and brought the Juhi track and dragged the track to the point we slowly started loosing viewership. After that every track was dragged including Vidyuth/ Jail track.

These tracks had high negativity content. No matter how much we all moaned and groaned to the CVS about the disproportionate negativity, the CVS were not paying heed to it. After extreme loss of TRP, the CVS finally learnt their lesson and have brought this amazing track.

Unfortunately it is going to take some time like a year ago to build the trust among viewers. The CVS have done too much damage in the past 6 months.

The sad part is the cast is suffering for the mistake done by PH and CVS. Can you imagine if they had brought a similar track right after Juhi track. We will be soaring.

Hopefully SP, PH and CVS can work together and give NK a chance. Unlike other shows NK is unique and awesome and is geared towards the present generation and the cast is fabulous. It is tough to find the right combinations always.

Sadly even during Juhi track or Jail track trps didn't fall this drastically. Which means people actually watched NK on tv even though it was unbearable to us fans. But since last 2 weeks it's been very low, starting from 1.4 which was for Avni returning and Neela's death scenes week. Something happened which made a huge proportion of audience finally give up on the show. During Jail track also trp was around 1.9 - 1.8 and not this bad. So I wonder was it the lack of promotion by SP or that certain loyal viewers finally got tired of expercting positivity out of NK and gave up?!

Ever since Juhi track fans have been waiting thinking we'll get positivity soon but CVs just took us for granted and kept churning out depressing tracks one after the other. Now as a result people who were waiting with hope finally gave up and stopped watching.

I'm still not clear whether this recent trp is for leap week or for the week before that. Even if trp is of post leap we can still have some hope for next week cuz Star Plus delayed releasing the promo by at least a week then they did that whole airing only on HD channel BS. I still don't see the promo on regular channel but if they are airing it now regularly then next week is the true test for NK where we can see for ourselves the success or failure of this risk/ leap they took. If it's low even then I really won't blame SP for giving up on our show. These coming months only will decide.

Certain things that I felt led to drastic fall in trps

1)Neela's death and retaining Mishti
2)Evil mostly winning over good
3)One high voltage drama after another without any breather
4) Announcement of 10 year leap which sounds extremely unreal
5)Airing of promos in HD channel while most of the viewers subscribe for non HD channels

After the leap the show has got its freshness and charm back but it will need some time to gain viewers which is very difficult due to upcoming boards exams and IPL
So, it now all depends on sp if they realize NK's potential and goodwill value and give it some more time

Bang on post.

It takes time to gain the audience but just a few seconds to lose the same audience.

CVs u gotta roll your sleeves up and write more attracting scenes.

I agree with Dragon. Right after jail track people expected a positive track for at least a few weeks. But what we got was one week of hsppiness and Neela death.

Then one week of VR drama then SR, then more VR drama and Avni's fake death.

This was the point where many people finally gave up. Then announcement of 10 year leap that seemed without a head or tail.

Now it seems they got the leap right. But to get lost viewers back it takes time. They ARE coming back. But not in droves. A lot of competition in this slot too. So let's hope SP understand the potential this show still has and extend it till August at least!

Honestly its too early to say that they have got the leap right. only things done right so far is that they have shown neil's eternal love for avni, how much he craves for her despite thinking she's dead- zain has emoted well- his pain and emotions are giving major feels, the BGM is very hummable and the look of Avneil is fresh. neel with his check shirts and jackets and the Mangalsutra as bracelet and avni with her casual outfits and specs is nice. Zaan is bringing some comic relief without going OTT with his expressions so thats ok too. And most importantly there's no psycho villain yet so thats why we are all watching. let's wait and see. if mitali- neel angle happens then yet again audience will get pissed off. already the actor playing grown up mishti is getting on my nerves. she's an overacting ki dukaan. 100% chuhi pe gayi hai. For TRPs to increase there has to be a fairly positive story and no crazy drama. its too early to expect an increase in TRP already. I'm sure people were thrown off by the way neela died, avni fake died and then 10 YEARS ka leap was announced. so to get them back and to get new viewers will take as much effort and time as it does for a brand new show to attract audience!

And hopefully they won't drag this hit and miss track further ...it's already almost 2 weeks. The tracks tend to drag on endlessly in NK and that's why viewers get bored and irritated. Also the side characters get too much Screen space that takes away from Avni and Neil's story. So hopefully the leads will meet soon and we can see scenes with them together patching up their lives...because that's what viewers want to really see. fans of NK love Avni as we've seen her grow up and endure so much in life ...so we would like to see her happy ...not endlessly suffer...
