Even Barkha didn't want her role to end but makers thought that the shock value of the twist will lead to an increase in trps. The experiment failed, didn't get them the desired result and ultimately they had to go for a leap which brought a freshness to the story and saw a huge jump in trps.

They are repeating the same mistake by ending Neela's role. I doubt if this will really help them in fetching trps on the contrary there chances of the opposite happening. Neela is one admirable character with whom the general viewers can easily relate. I don't think they will appreciate this unwanted twist in NK

This confusion was shown by cv's to give us the loophole I guess for Neela's entry again.
