Ok guys here's the next update-

Avni and neil go downstairs to look for what was the source of the noise. They see that bebe, sweta, prakash and neela are busy with decorations and prep. Each of them was doing something. One person was on the phone, one was talking to the decorator who had accidentally dropped a carton full of stuff and was being yelled at by sweta currentlyJ and then bebe looked up at them and said..arey good morn puttarji. Tum dono uth gaye. Very good. Aa jao. Bheema se kah ke jaldi naashta karo aur 1 ghante main tayyar ho jao. Humne ghar pe pooja rakhi hai toh panditji bhi aate honge...

So neel and avni quickly have breakfast...Ali had specially sent his haat ka banaya hua poha while he had already taken off to help with work.

Avni- Neel thoda zyada hi busy lag rahe hain sub. Pooja hi toh hai. Itna tam jham kyun?

Neel- arey sab bahut excited hain. Tum itne din baad ghar aayi ho na.

Avni- just smiled back up at him and continued with her breakfast but Neel didn't miss the happiness on her face.

(Neel in his head- Avni this is just the beginning... aage aage dekho hota hai kya! Ghar waale aur main tumhe aaj se itna pamper karenge na ki tum humesha aise hi apni 1000 watt smile tumhaare chehre pe rahegi)

As they were finishing breakfast, shweta came up to them and said- avni, tillu maine na tum donon ke liye kapde rakhe hain already. Please jaldi tayyar ho jao thik hai

Aur avni tumna ready hone ke liye mere room me aajao thik he.

Avni- but mummyji kyun?

Shweta-arey what it is... maine bol diya na. aajao matlab aajao. Main tumhaari saas hoon...tumhe meri baat maani hai. Gots it

Avni- ok mummyji.

Neel- watching this whole exchange happily

Once shweta left avni had turned to him with the biggest smile and hugged him out of the blue!

Neel- kya hua avni?

Avni- pulled back and said kuch nahi, main bus khush hoon! Tumhaari mom ne abhi mujhe daant lagayi she exclaimed happily

Neel- shook his head- and said chuckling- tum pahli insaan hogi jo daant khaane le liye itni excited lag rahi ho! Although he was joking, he knew that avni had craved a good relationship with his mom. Although they had solved their issues by the time the chuhi drama had happened this was their first saas-bahu kinda exchange with each other. And he had a fb of the time when she had brought his tiffin and told him that one day shweta would love her more than her tillu. And looking at his mom now he knew that the day had come!

Avni- haha..tum he bhi pata hai what this means..maine challenge poora karliya hai! Tumhaari mom ab meri side hai neel khanna! Saying that she jumped up , tapped his cheek lightly and ran away saying- jaldi chalo ready hona hai.

Neel- just watched her skip to her room with a smile . He just hoped that avni always got all the love that she deserved just like this! His girl was one in a million and he vowed that he would show her and make her realise how special she was to them all!

Neel also made his way to get ready.

Avni took her clothes- a beautiful silver and blue saree with a very stylish blouse to got with it. She took a shower and was just getting ready wearing a saree when shweta walked in and locked the door behind her.

Shweta- oh good, tumne saari pehen na shuru kar diya. She helped her with the pleats and once it was all done..she made avni sit at the dresser. Avni mera paas tumhaare liye surprise hain.

She picked out matching sapphire set of earings and neck piece to go with the saree from her collection and said- ye pehen lo, match karenge saree se.

And then she brought a box and gave ot to her and said- aur ye hai surprise- mujhe ye pahle hi dena chahiye tha but kabhi time nahi mila. But aaj bahut accha din hai. Toh ye lo, tumhaari sasumom ki taraf se gift.

Avni- excitedly opened it to reveal a beautiful pair of bangles- it was an antique piece,and very very beautiful. Mummyji ye..ye at a loss of words

Shweta- haan pata hai mujhe, bahut hi amazing haina! Afterall mere pushtaini kangan hai. Maine sambhal ke rakhe te.

Avni- thank you mummyji! And gave her a hug!

Shweta- lovingly patted her head and said- accha ab senti baad me ho lenge. Ready ho jao. Pooja ka muhurat nikal raha hai.

Neel meanwhile was getting ready in a color coordinated outfit chosen by his mom...even thought it was slightly too dressy for him, he knew that his mom had great fashion sense. So he wore the kurta-pajama and the Nehru jacket to go with it. And made his way down for the pooja. Panditji was ready and everyone was waiting.

As he looked up all his breath was sucked in when he saw his wife...she was looking breath-taking in the saree his mom had picked out. She was looking so stunning that neel couldn't stop staring even though avni had already walked down the stairs and up to where they were all gathered.

But neel was lost in a daze...suddenly neela coughed loudly. Ahem ahem...tumhaari hi biwi hai neel, itna kya ghur rahe ho! And everyone broke into laughter. Both avni and neel blushed.

Bebe- accha ji chalo pooja ka muhurat nikal raha hai

Avni- Bebe ali aur DD nahi aaye.

Neel- once again looked stunned at how considerate his wife was. Not only was she enquiring about Ali her best friend but also DD.

Neela- Ali toh aata hoga, voh bas ek arrangement karne gaya hai. Abhi baat hui thi meri us se.

Neel- guiltily- Voh maine DD ko nahi bulaya ab tak. Voh shayad station me hoga.

Avni- Neel aaj Sunday hai. Phone lagao usko abhi.

Neel- obediently called DD. And before he could start talking, avni had grabbed the phone from him and told DD to show up urgently at the house right away and hung up!

Neel- arey main baat karleta na!

Avni - tum rahne do. Pahle hi karna chahiye tha. Bebe hum 10 min wait karlete hain, DD aajyega.

DD- came running in exactly 8 minutes later- and once he got in- he was confused.

DD- bhaabi,kya hua aapne mujhe itni urgently kyun bulaya

Avni- Kyunki family function me poori family ka hona zaruri hai! And she walked up to panditji and said ab shuru kijiye

Meanwhile DD just stood there dumbfounded with tears in his eyes which he blinked back. This is why he loved his sir and bhaabi so much. They made him feel like he was family too. Neel was responsible for him getting a new lease of life and his bhaabi was his new fav person. HE had not seen anyone who had had such a rough life but still be so positive. She had a really big heart and he didn't know a more loving couple than his sir and bhaabi. He could do anything for them.

Neel meanwhile walked up to DD and clapped him on the shoulder and said- chalein.

DD- sirji ...aap bahut lucky hain ki aapko bhaabi mili.

Neel- I know! He said with a smile as he watched his wife talk to the pandit appreciatively! Ab chalo varna hum dono daant khaayenge

And they walked up to the mandir room. It was a ganesh pooja. Pandit ji did the whole aarti and then for the final one neel and avni did it together. Then bebe asked avni to distribute Prasad.

As she moved around giving Prasad, she reached ali who had snuck in last minute, midway thro the aarti, who was now looking very sheepish forwarding his hand.

Avni- pata tha muhe ki tu aarti pe late aayega but Prasad ke liye toh definitely pahle khada rahega

Ali- sorry yaar, main voh kuch kaam karne gaya aur thoda traffic me phas gaya

Avni- please ali tu excuses mat de. Sunday ko koi traffic nahi hoti

Ali- accha baba, sorry na. tumhe toh pata hai meri bachpan se problem hai late aane ki! Giving her a puppy dog look

Avni- accha please ye tumhaara puppy dog face mat dikha. She gave him a ladoo and walked to Neel and DD giving them both also Prasad - who were watching with amusement the best friend banter scene

Ali- AVNI- he exclaimed sadly-

Avni- Kya hai?

Ali- pulled another puppy dog face

Avni- Shook her head saying Ali tera kya hoga ali! She said her takhiya kalam which she reserved for he bestie and then and gave him another ladoo- ye le thoos!

Neel was happy shocked to see this whole banter- he was also slightly jealous of their easy banter but he knew that it came from the fact that they were literally chaddi buddies. They had known each other forever and even though he knew and had seen how much they could do for each other he had never seen this light hearted camaraderie of theirs before.

Ali meanwhile happily munched on 2 ladoos.

Bebe- accha ji, ab pooja hogayi. Chalo sab log hall main.

Once everyone was seated bebe announced- accha chalo aaj humaare donon bacche itne time baad ghar aaye hai toh kuch special toh banta hai. Toh maine aur neela ji ne plan kiya hai ki hum aaj Pictionary khelenge. So they divided teams-

Avni, Ali, Shweta, one team

Neel, DD, Neelama another team.

Bebe was referee, Prakash was timekeeper

Bebe had made chits of movies, places, things etc which were in the bowl.

They had great fun playing the game. It was actually neck and neck until the last clue- Avni's team won mainly because of the amazing tuning avni and ali had. They could easily guess each others drawings. Neel and DD also had good teamwork but DD was not the best artist, but neel had actually put up a good fight!

But as soon as Avni won she had jumped up and with a happy squeal and her and ali had done a little celebratory jingle taking everybody by surprise!

Suddenly once avni and ali had finished their little celebratory handshake and jig (which they had choreographed at 8 years of age when they won a school event)

they both came to an abrupt stop. Both look a liitle embarrassed, mainly avni!

All the family members watched and then burst out laughing!

Neelama- its ok baccha, I know tum carried away ho gayi. Its ok, ho jaata hai! And chuckled

Bebe- but ye kya tha?

Ali- voh bebe ye humne school main 8 saal ke umar main kiya tha. Jab hum donon ne langdi taang jeeta tha!tabse humlog jab bhi koi event main jeet te the hum ye karte the!

Everyone was happy to see avni so cheerful and adored the precious bond and innocence of the Ali-Avni friendship.

Neela- vaise agle game ke liye-main bhi kuch laayi hoon, jisme avni champion hain!

Ali- Carrom board?

Neela- arey voh bhi toh hai! Voh maine socha nahi. Next time voh bhi khelenge. But abhi ke liye ye hai!

And she brought out a pack of playing cards!

Another pleasant shock for everyone.

Neel thinking to himself- wifey ko main kitna kam jaanta hoon. aaj ek hi din main kitna kuch pata laga hai mujhe! Wifey bhi carom khelti hai! And he took out his phone to order it on amazon! He decided this would be a cute surprise for avni. Neel himself was very good at carom in his school days and he thought it would be fun to play carom with his wifey!

Prakash- avni taash khelti hai?

NEela- arey sirf khelti nahi hai, khub saari cheating karti hai

Avni- please ma, aapne abhi tak mujhe cheating karte hue pakda hi nahi hain. Aap toh bas sadte ho kyunki aap humesha haar jate ho...how much do you owe me?

Neela- pouting- accha rahne do

Avni- arey ma, kyun rahne do? Kam se kam 6 lakh rupaye toh honge na? she asked with mischeivious eyes..

Prakash ji- joining in the banter- neela ji, aap aaj tak kabhi bhi jeeti hain kya?

Neela- glared at prakash-

Shweta- prakash ji, aap meri samdhan ka Mazak uda rahe hain kya?

PRakash immediately shut up.

Avni- accha ma, sorry. Chalo aaj hum log aaj ek hi team main.

Neel- Haan aur aaj main bhi khelunga toh tum koi cheating nahi kar sakti!

Avni- mock glared at him and said- lets see.

They played a few rounds of cards. Prakash was a chupa rustam and was very good. Neel although he had given full on attitude had no idea what was going on! HE grudgingly gave up. In the last round of bets avni ne baazi mar li!

Prakash- maan na padega! tumne mujhe bhi hara diya puttarji. But I know ki tumne last main kuch toh jhol kiya hai- kya kiya?

Avni- papaji, main aapko kisi aur din fursat se secret bataungi! She winked and smiled at him

Bebe- accha chalo bhai lunch time hogaya hai

They all had a sumptuous meal with everybody's 1 favorite dish on the menu. By the end of it everyone was too full to even move.

They had enjoyed a wonderful morning and afternoon together as a family. So everybody just chilled out in their rooms for the rest of the day. Ali dropped Neela and DD had some work so they left. The khannas went for an afternoon siesta!

Avni and neel lay on their bed avni tucked into neels side-they just sat there playing with their fingers- intertwingling them and tracing random patterns on the palms of each others hands

Neel- vaise wifey aaj kaafi kuch pata laga tumhaare bare main!

Avni-hmm- she snuggled closer to him- but didn't say anything more

Neel- kya hua? Kya soch rahi ho.

Avni- Neel, maine abhi abhi kuch realise kiya she said a little sadly...

Neel- kya?

Avni- voh...she hesitated

Neel- tucked a hair behind her ear- that we don't know each other all that well haina!

Avni turned to neel surprised that he could read her mind- tum mind reader ho kya? She asked

Neel- chuckled- arey mere wifey ke dimaag main kya chalta hai main jaan leta hoon and winked at her!

Avni- just hmmed and turned back away from him

Neel- sirf hmm...

Avni tum jaan lete ho, par main nahi jaan paati! Isliye maine itne din tumhe galat samjha na.

Neel- turned toward her fully and held her face- avni yaar, I told you na- ab no more puraani baatein. Hum donon se galtiyan hui but ab hum jeet gaye, humaari pyaar ki jeet hui hai. So forget all that and I have the perfect plan so that we can both learn more about each others interests n childhood etc

Avni- perking up- bolo

Neel- 20 questions

Avni- awesome! Chalo abhi shuru karte hain. ..and she sat up enthusiastically

Neel- Nahi avni, voh na aaj sham ko start karenge, abhi us se bhi zyaada imp kaam karna hai- he said with a naughty twinkle in his eye.

But our avni is a tubelight- she innocently says- kya kaam hai

Neel- quickly moves such that hes flipped her down onto the bed and was hovering over her. He looks into her eyes with love and then pecks her cheek- and whispered into her ear- ab pata chal gaya kya kaam hai!

Avni turned red and neel just watched with delight as his otherwise sherni wifey was blushing at just a small peck on her cheek.

Neel- arey jaaneman itna bhi mat sharmao- he said dramatically and then chuckled.

Avni was trying to push him away

Neel-please avni- thoda toh romance karne doh na!

Avni just kept blushing but she obviously decided to give in. She just looked down shyly

Neel- grinned at his wifey and moved to place a trail of kisses along her neck.

Avni moaned as he hit a sweet spot and the sound of that was music to neels ears. He continued to nibble on her neck and avni was enjoying it so much that she moved her hands pulling his head closer to give him more access. Unconsciously her other hand was tracing patterns on neel's trunk.

Neel- As he felt his wifey drawing patterns on him neel was losing control as well... But he knew he had to stop because he wanted their first time to be special. He had a lot of plans for the evening and night and he didn't want to ruin it. So with every last ounce of self control he pulled away from avni, breathing hard. And thankfully just as he did, his phone rang loudly giving him the perfect excuse .

He pulled away but not before giving her another kiss on her cheek and said- we will continue this tonight wifey! Filhaal mujhe ye phone attend karna hai and aaj sham hum bahaar ja rahe hai date par toh tum ready hojao!

Ok done, that's it for this chapter! Hope you guys like it! Next one will be their date and also them playing 20Qs and finding out more about each other. I dont actually know anything about playing taash so if its not sounding legit please overlook it! ;) also if anyone is wondering where mishti is- she is in child care where she should be, not with the khannas in their house!
