Avni stood up, finally ready with all the preparations for her and Neil's date.
She jumped at the loud bang from behind her, turning slowly she heard the automatic lock on her door click
Her hand rested on her chest, stepping forward she walked out into the hallway, the attic door was open, the ladder dangling down.
She shook her head and tried to calm her breathing.
"Hello"
"Hello Avni"
Avni jumped around to face Sahil who smiled at her
"Sahil, what are you"
He grabbed her hand and dragged her forward
"Did you forget who I was, what we were, you were the only one that was good to me Avni, you loved me like I love you"
His hands on her shoulders rough as he shook her, her body a deadweight as she moved forward and backwards with his shaking
"You knocked me out the other night"
He nodded cupping her face, "But I didnt hurt you, I would never do that, I just wanted to make you see that we are meant to be, I love you Avni and I know you love me to"
"Sahil I, look im sorry I think you must have misunderstood"
His face darkened, Avni's eyes widened at the knock on the door, she opened her mouth to shout for help but he covered her mouth
"One wrong move and ill kill him Avni, tell him you're ill"
He flicked the silencer on the gun and pointed to the door
Avni pulled the door open, Neil smiled at her
Avni coughed "Hi, I am really sorry to cancel but im not well"
Neil raised his brow "Oh well thats okay we can just relax, you probably need looking after"
Avni shook her head "No Neil, I dont want you to get ill"
"No honestly its okay" Neil stepped forward
Avni shook her head "Neil, please just go"
She shoved his shoulders back and slammed the door
Neil stood outside the door clueless at Avni's sudden cold demeanour
Sahil grabbed Avni and tugged her closer
"For that you deserve a kiss "
Avni shook her head "No please "
Neil looked up, his brows furrowing, had Avni just shouted, was she in trouble?
Neil was about to bang on the door again, but figured if she was in danger that was the worst thing to do.
He looked around for an open window, sighing when he couldnt find one he climbed over the back gate
"What do you mean no, you love me dont you" Sahil's eyes filled with sadness
"Why am I never good enough, why does no one love me"
Although she was shaking with fear, she rested her hand on his shoulder
"Its okay, someone will love you, im just not the right person for you"
He looked up at her "But you were always so nice, no one else was, you were always my friend"
Avni rested her hand over the gun "But this isnt the way to deal with things, what do you gain from this"
He let go of the gun dropping it in her hand
Avni put it on the counter behind her
"Put your hands up, where I can see them" Neil shouted
Sahil looked over at Avni "you tricked me"
Avni vehemently shook her head "No, no"
Sahil grabbed the gun and shoved Avni onto the floor
As quickly as he could he ran out of the house
Neil ran over to Avni "are you okay, whats going on"
Avni pulled herself up "Its a long story, I think you should sit down"
