Viewers are really tired of all the drama and negativity they are adding with each episode. Turning VP and RP into much more evil characters than before.
And the CVs are somehow not able to bring it back to where it was. The problem is they began to drag the negatives too much (juhi's track..well run for 3 odd months)

Viewers expectations are high as our CVs are capable of providing that. ...we are getting very very less compared to what we got in the initial phase.
AvNeil have always been the USP of our show ...their Love Story gets Prominence and TRPs too!!

After a highly stressful Juhi-Mishti track ...viewers needed to unwind for a while ..but our CVs failed to deliver.
If Avni escapes and reunites with Neil to make a plan ...then we can get a dramatic/light moments track without any melodrama.

Nothing is dragging in this track, everything has come out in the open to Avni which is a lot considering the snails pace the Juhi track went for. The CVs are trying here and the problem lies in the negativity from fans who they cannot seem to please. In this jail track we had the angst, the intensity, some romance and the truth but still things are not to the liking of everyone who sadly bash the CVs on social media. This track was green lit by the channel itself, for once the channel is giving a show a chance to be different instead of going with the typical saas bahu drama. The show is holding its own in TRPs, it is the same as last week despite not being about kitchen politics and family drama. Given this week focused on Avni breaking out of jail that should work in favor for the show in the next TRPs especially now that OLVs are out showing that AvNeil will be working together to bring down Vidyut.

I agree the angst and even the romance has been there in this track as well as the thriller aspect! It seems fans just cannot be pleased! So what can the CV's do? We just have to let this track play out! Simple as that! Avni knows the truth and that is a huge step in the right direction. The Khannas are back. Family drama will come back.

We need to understand that the pace slowed down during Juhi track and some people got fed up and moved on. Especially coz of baby daddy and all that. Even that was handeled well most of the time. But they should not have dragged Juhi for 4 months. That was the mistake! I think we need to applaud the channel for trying something outside the box! This show can still hit Top 10 again! Just hope it does, coz it's really good! The last few episodes were excellent. I watched them a few times over!

I think I'm the only odd one out here, who enjoyed even the Juhi track too a lot. Maybe because that's the track which actually showed a very strong relationship growth of AvNeil as a couple. Until then it was just about them figuring out their feelings for each other. That is the track when Avni realized how much Neil means to her and vice versa and to what extent both of them would go for each other. I especially appreciated the cvs for showing Avni going to RM track. No other show would have the guts to show a FL going to a place like that. If anybody did, the next obvious track would have been everyone trying to taint the FL's name and hero standing by her. They never go for the conventional route and I for one am glad for that.

A lot of them don't want the kid back, but I for one even enjoyed the mishti track a lot, which gave us the most emotional scenes between AvNeil. I also loved Avni's love for the kid till she was there (but I know a lot of them felt it's obsession), because the CVs stayed true to her character. A lot of people were irritated why she is so attached to the kid when she isn't neil's kid? If they showed her love deteriorating because she isn't Neil's would have actually butchered avni's character for me because it wasn't just about mishti being neil's child for her. She wanted to save an innocent kid who might end up being like Ananya (personally for me that's a good thing) or even worse like Juhi.

I love to see the emotional side of a relationship and it's growth in a couple rather than the pointless namesake romance. I for one am happy with the trp, because it hasn't reduced a lot in spite of so many of them being disappointed with the track.

Unfortunately looks like at least a major part of the ITV seem to enjoy pointless "out of nowhere romance, kitchen politics, vampires, innumerable marriages between the leads and everyone getting dolled up for one function or the other.

So in short, I'm happy with the CVs for giving us a very unique love story, because in spite of everything it's still a love story of AvNeil for me, a strong love story indeed...

Just my thoughts...

@Sanleema:

I could not agree more with everything you said. I think the story has been excellent overall. I started watching NK after the 1st leap with grown up Avni. I only knew Aditi from Ek Duje Ke Vaaste where she played Preeti the 2nd lead. Zain, I knew who he was coz I knew some people on Twitter who watched TEI. But that was it. I didn't even really remember exactly what he looked like. But after watching NK I have become a die-hard fan of his. (I change my DP once every 2 years probably and I changed it for him). That is endorsement enough. I simply adore Neil and Zain by default for playing him, and he seems like a nice guy too!

I started watching NK 3 months after the leap on Hotstar and it was so engaging, I watched all the episodes in probably 3 weeks. That is a big deal for me, coz I don't have a lot of free time. But it was that good, I had to do it. I used to say AvNeil's love story is simply "Yum and I still stand by it. Their story from their first meeting to now has been a roller coaster ride to watch, and I have loved every minute of it. Even I was not against the Juhi track at all, just the drag factor in some parts. I loved the kid too, she was cute. But I didn't want her to be Neil's. (Just coz I wanted Neil to just have kids with Avni). My personal wish for them. But yes, if Avni loved Mishti less coz she was Vidyut's daughter and not Neil's then that would have butchered Avni.

Even I loved the immense growth in AvNeil during Juhi and Mishti track and how they evolved as a couple. Both of them accepting and voicing their feelings and their stand on their relationship to each other as well as others. You don't see that sort of growth in many ITV shows. Mostly just endless weddings, functions, over dressing and tamasha type stuff. The story is very much secondary. But NK has not been like that. The characters and the story has very much been King in this show. Star Plus has endorsed this show, despite it not being their usual potboiler. This show and Rishton Ka Chakravyuh have the best content, and that is why they are the only shows I watch on SP.

I think this prison track is thrilling and the fans need to give it more of a chance. I know it's not fun to see Avni in a prison uniform, but some overseas shows are run in entirety in prison clothes! Clothes do not make a man, or a woman! People need to stop being superficial. Trust me I love fashion, in fact I am a fashionista in real life. But I don't watch shows for clothes. I am looking forward to the future story and I also want this show to run a bit longer to get the awards they deserve. Especially AdiZa deserve Fave International Jodi, which they WILL get it the show stays on till SPA. NK was No 1 in UK for awhile for SP and it still can be. It's one of the better shows on SP in a long time. Content, direction, acting and execution wise. I also cant praise the Male and Female leads enough for being NAYI Soch, not by dressing modern and talking too fast (some Female leads), or by going on and on about how modern and progressive they are (some male leads), but by actually BEING that way. All I can say is, I love NK and I hope it runs for at least 6 months more!

You are not the odd one out, I actually had praise for the Juhi track for the same reasons you gave. The growth to Avni and Neil's relationship was the biggest USP for that track, it could have played out so much differently but instead they showed two people who had the biggest storms thrown their way get through it together. Neil and Avni are two people who have evolved as a pairing instead of the typical couples on ITV who say I love you and then in the next breath misunderstand each other. Many shows make a mockery out of love, show the male lead treating their wives with disrespect and the wives being mahaan you see none of that here. This is the first love story I have watched where the leads are so selfless with how much they love each other, the extent they would go for the other. It has been a beautiful journey which has thankfully been reflected in TRPs. I thought the TRPs reduced this week but it is actually the same as last, it is stable despite the negativity from fans. I am happy to see the TRP audience keeping an open mind and proving a track like this can work.

Well! Girl! I was in one of that minority too. I didn't have any complaints about that track simply because I loved the way AvNeil's relationship evolved. As you said, they both realized what the other meant to them. They realized their love and the madness and their depth. Every day, they discovered something new, crazy about each other and that just made them fall in love with each other even more. And thats why I don't mind this jail track to. Yes, AvNeil were a communicative couple? What happened now? Why did that have to end? What compelled them to? It all makes sense. And how beautifully? Neil knows what he did and why he did and he could certainly explain himself posing to be self righteous about his step. But instead, he took her hate, thinking he deserved it, realizing the depth of hurt he had caused her. Avni, after she learns the truth, realizes what made him do what he did. They both didn't have to sit and explain to each other. And thats how far their relationship came through that Juhi track! They both didn't realize it but I am sure they will. I think Juhi track is one of their toughest fight, tougher than the jail track! If they survived that, there is no way they cannot survive any other troubles.

You know actually I am one of them who doesn't mind even if the kid is shown back again. I was kinda scared to admit it simply because I know majority of the FD is not interested. So I just kept my mouth shut. But your post helped me say that out loud.

It is surprising and disappointing that the ratings of such a great show, which is trying something different, keeping in mind all the nuances possible (of course there will be loopholes but still) is facing issues with TRPS. I am shocked that the TV shows with such regressive contents, has nothing but crying and sacrificial FL's are doing better than our show. I sometimes fail to understand why we have such audience. Guess, its their choice. I so want our show to do better and top the charts because it deserves it. 100%

Bang on post here!! There has been no other show which has shown the growth Neil and Avni's shows have shown, not only them but look at the supporting cast have you ever seen characters like them? Give me another show that has characters like DD, Ali, Neela Maa, Shweta who beautifully compliment the leads and make you crave for their scenes? During the Juhi track and even this current on there were always fans who would ask where are the Khannas? Where is DD? Neela? Ali? To me that says a lot about this show and why fans are invested in it.

Have you read Fuze latest review in which they praised Avni and Neil for being equals? It was such a beautiful read!

I would be seriously disappointed if NK did not sweep the awards at SPA because it is one of the few shows on SP that is nayi soch. Neil is the best husband, Avni for best wife, AvNeil for best jodi, Neela for best mom. There are so many categories they could win at but I am not getting my hopes too high for that for now I am just happy to see this track working for TRPs viewers who until now only accepted the regressive content on TV. It is a big deal to have SP backing this show and saying okay we are giving you the green light to break out of the norm with this track, we are not going to focus on kitchen politics and give you free reign to go outside the box. For me as a viewer the track is a success, the pace is perfect and it can only get better from here now that AvNeil are back to being a team.

I also agree with you ladies, many have seen in the Juhi track just the side they wanted to see, the fear of a third angle, the irritation to see her close the male lead and her lies etc but people might not have focused on some interessting facts. Actually this was one of the most important phases of AvNeil's love story, a love having it easy can't be compared to a love which was put to test and AvNeil's love has been put to test and it passed everything with flying colors. The undertanding, the honesty, the acceptance, loving your better half with their past baggage, sticking to them through thick and thin, helping them in their worst times is the real love and AvNeil love is a real love, so pure, so strong.

A man who had enough guts to tell his lady love that he has a daughter from a past relationship the same day she was going to confess her love, a day he was equally eagerly waiting for, a man who gave her the option to walk away if she wanted, he didn't try to hide things from her, or postpone them or lie to her, he didn't use any emotional blackmail and gave her her right to decide. A woman who accepted him with his past and vowed to help him face it. She kept fighting despite the ghosts of the past coming back to haunt her, seeing how this was taking a toll on her he asked her another time to walk away if she feels it's too hard for her to bear it but she stood by him because she knew his love is selfless and unconditional, she knew he was there for her all the time, he accepted her with her flaws, with her past, so how can she not do the same.

They were there for each other, circumstances didn't help much and some few mistakes were made in the way which landed them in the current situation, but their love stayed strong, he did everything to protect her even when it killed him inside the way he had to proceed and despite her difficult situation reliving another episode from her past with the jail track, her love for him remained the same and it passed another test as despite her misunderstandings, she had only immense love for him, a love she tried to hide behind her facade of anger and narazgui, I doubt she meant any of the hurtful words she said, it was all her hurt at the misconception of her thinking he abandoned her but the moment he stood in front of her, all her resolutions vanished, actually she kept being his Avni all the time, love marks you forever, his love never let her change and become another version of Ananya Varma, I never believed she would hate him like many said, I never believed she would be able to be indifferent, or that she would become an insensitive version of Ananya Varma, I always knew she was his Avni only, he never left her, she was remembering him, adopting his ways, she had him in her heart and in her mind, and the moment he touched her she melted, and the moment he was in danger, she ran to save him, she expressed her anger and the fact that she was upset, but she also expressed how she admires him, for her, he is her Neil, a good human being whom the city needs, whom she needs and obviously whom she loves immensely and doesn't want to lose!

All she needed was his love and trust, and now that she knows they were always there, she got immense strength to fight, she took the blame of being Neo on herself, she was ready to fight, but deep down she also knew her Neil will fight and despite things getting complicated for her, she decided to help him in that, she knew Neil needed his power as a police officer to carry on and to help her as well. Neil understood her sacrifice, in no case he would have let it go in vain by doing what Vidyut thought he would by confessing he is Neo because Neil knew if he confessed being Neo, he would lose his job and his power and land in jail and despite the charges of being Neo against Avni being dropped in that case, she would still have the murder charges against her, so by both being in jail, how would he be able to help her?! so despite it hurting him to see her facing more troubles, despite his guilt, he accepted her sacrifice and he was determined to fight for her.
