But since he is the Father and also he is doing this under the table it's getting done. It's almost like illegal organ harvesting. The only difference here is that he is using his own child, not a random person.

I dont know if a 5 year old can give a kidney. Probably not. But who knows what process they will show to justify it!

I understand it is illegal but my point is had it been legal also, then a 5 year old kid's kidney cannot support an adult's body

@Dragon:
Are they going to show some Sci-Fi type stuff where the kidney is made to enlarge after being harvested? Who knows?

I have read that pediatric kidneys can be donated to adults. Guess doctors over here can explain well . But hate this VR if he is doing this as this is illegal

So I asked my nephrology teacher if this is possible and it turns out it is possible! Usually when children donate to adults, it is because the child is already deceased in n accident or something and usually both kidneys are transplanted into the adult to compensate for creatinine removal! I guess this is why it's so illegal! Looks like CVs have done there homework this time!!

More can be read over here:

Hope this helps! 😳

Well, I haven't completed my MBBS.. so naturally I'm not eligible to answer this question but as I have many doctors in my family, I can say you that Child To Parent kidney transplantation is proved to be successful and moreover it is not about the size of kidney but it is about the antigens present in an organ which is considered in transplantation. And CTP( child to parent) kidney transfer is successful because of the obvious reasons that there would be less rejection of the organ. I'm sure other doctors in the forum can provide a better explanation. I'm still in learning stage:)
