Avni nodded, her hands shaking as she zipped up the last suitcase

"I cant believe we're running away"
"It had to come eventually" replied Neil
Avni pulled her hair up in a band

Neil scowled, his brows furrowed
Avni kissed his lips
"You look better when you smile" she whispered her lips still on his

"Dont do this now Avni or we wont leave"
Avni smirked
"Come on"

Putting their bags in the car, they looked back at the hideout they had called home for years
The memories they had made
The plans they had

Everything in that house
Neil threw the lighter as the house caught aflame
"Ready to become Ananya"
Avni smirked

"Of course Neo"
Getting in the car, they drove away from their past life and identity
From this moment onward
They were someone else

In the fight for their lives

Avni smiled at the view from their hotel room
"Wow, couldnt you just stay here forever "

Neil wrapped his arms around her waist "Sure if you were with me"
Avni smiled, stepping away from him she pulled out a takeaway flyer

"What do you want to eat"
"You"
Avni rolled her eyes
"No, like what do you fancy"
"You"

"Look Neil are you hungry"
"Yes, starved, we didnt get to finish off where we took off one night ago"

Avni huffed "Get your mind out of the gutter, im hungry, so you either eat with me or starve"
Neil pouted, agreeing to eat now he watched Avni sit back


"Tired" he asked, his breath tickling her neck
"Yes"
Neil stroked Avni's hair, she snuggled into him
His other hand drew spirals on her back

"You're gonna make me fall asleep"
"I think you need it"
All Neil got in reply was a sigh from Avni

"Avni, dinners here"
Avni groaned before turning on her side
"Okay "

Neil brought the food in
Neil thought it best not to wake her, she needed the rest

After he had ate, he climbed into bed with her
"Neil"
"Hm"
"Im hungry"

Neil sighed, grabbing food he brought it over to her
Moving herself so she sat in the middle of his legs
She leaned back and ate her food

"Can you play with my hair"
Neil did as he was asked , but not without a mocking comment
"Bit needy today aren't you"

Avni did feel needy, she just wanted to be close to Neil
The events of the night before still played on her mind

She could lose him, at any time
"Is that wrong"
Neil shook his head
"No, I love it"


Avni sighed, putting the plate down she relaxed into his hold
Neil's fingers drummed on her thigh
Turning slightly, she pressed her ear against his heart

Still beating, he was still here with her, but it was close, and the thought of not hearing that scared her more than anything

Avni pressed a kiss over his shirt
Feeling his arms wrap around her, holding her tighter, she knew everything would be okay if Neil was always with her

She did have one more task to do, to get that pregnancy test!
