Avni slipped on her black winged mask.
The material was soft, silky but the elastic band on the back was already irritating her scalp.

Her eyes fell on the man who would be her victim tonight, downing her bubbling champagne she walked over to him.

Neil stretched out his arm, grabbing her waist, she turned in his arms to face him
"Neil, I have a job to do"

He wore a mask, just like her, his suit was new, her fingers ran down it.
The texture seemed soft to the touch.

There was something different in Neil's eyes.
Something indescribable.

Spinning her around, she now faced away from him, her back against his, his hands went out, around her waist, he lifted her

Putting her down quickly he spun her around
Her back now to his chest, he pushed her hair from her neck
Pressing a kiss to her shoulder he leant down

Picking her up, he spun
Putting her back on the floor, he spun her out again then spun her back in
Her hands hit his chest

"Neil what are you"
"Kiss me"
"Here, we cant"
"Why " he growled

Neil dipped his head, taking her lips in a soaring kiss
Avni couldnt help how her body reacted to him
"Neil please im working "

"So am I" muttered Neil
Avni's eyes rolled back as he continued his assault on her neck

"Punishment " he whispered before pulling back and walking away

Avni stood in shock

So he wanted to play, well two could play that game

Avni walked up to her 'client' of the night, leaning against the counter top she smiled

"Its getting preety hot here, wanna go somewhere private"
The man smirked, wrapping his arm around her waist, they walked to the balcony

It was her job, Neil knew this, so why was he so jealous?

He knew that falling in love with a woman who did this was something he would have to get used to, but he still struggled

Avni dipped the poison into his drink, watching it dissolve, she smirked
"You dont see handsome men here"

The man smiled "Good to see a change then"
Avni nodded, passing him the drink, she watched him gulp it down

Pressing her lips to his neck, she counted
"1, 2, 3"
Pulling back she undid his tie
"I know what you did to those women"

She stepped back as the man fell to the floor
Walking back into the ballroom, she changed her mask before walking out

Nodding to her boss, she walked to her car
Neil sat in the passenger seat
"Enjoy the show" she asked

"You know I hate it"
"Ive only got eyes for you Neil, you know that"
Of course he did, but that didnt stop him from being jealous, so jealous he wanted to rip people's heads off of anyone who looked at her

Arriving home, Neil pulled his shirt over his head
Avni turned to face him, throwing herself back on the bed

"My feet"
Neil's cold fingers pushed into the arches of her feet, his thumb making spirals as he pinched the heel

Avni sighed "Youre always so good at that"
When she didnt hear a reply, she opened one eye, then the other

Avni knelt on her knees, putting her arms around his neck, she went to kiss him but he pulled away

Avni looked offended
"Im tired Avni"
"Oh" she muttered

"Well, goodnight then"

Avni wasnt sure why tears sprung to her eyes as she looked at his body faced away from her
Did he not want her anymore?

The next morning, Avni awoke happy.
Today was their day off, she could get some quality time with Neil

Avni wandered into the kitchen to see Neil eating cornflakes
Pouring herself some, she sat next to him

"Good sleep" she asked
"Yep" he answered shortly

Avni flinched at his tone, maybe something had gone wrong at work?
Neil finished, washed up and sat on the sofa

Avni did the same, walking behind him she began to massage his shoulders
"Avni, stop"
"But why, I just want to help"

"Well, youre not"
Avni turned away, wiping her eyes
"Well, what can I do then "

"Nothing, im going to bed"
"But youve only just woke up"
The bedroom door slamming signalled that she would not get a reply

Avni threw herself on the sofa, closing her eyes


A few hours later, Neil strolled into the living room, hearing the shower he sat down and turned the tv on

Avni pulled her silk dressing gown around her, her hair still wet, she brushed it before opening the door

"Neil" she called
Neil looked up
Avni was dressed in a silk dressing gown, underwear and a bra
Red and black.

Neil's faviourate colours
She was trying to seduce him
"Put some clothes on its cold"

Avni stepped back, shocked
"But I wore these for you"
"Im not one of your clients that you can just seduce"

When she didnt reply, he looked up to see Avni crying
"No, but you are my fiancee, and you wont talk to me, wont look at me, wont touch me, am I ugly, is there someone else, I love you Neil, whatever it is we can fix this, atleast I thought we could"

"Not everything can be solved by a f**k"
Avni gasped, a low sob broke from her chest
"Is that all I am to you"

When she heard no reply, she stormed back into their bedroom

Confused, hurt and bewildered.

Neil pushed the door open of the bedroom, walking up to Avni, he threw the box of tissues out of her hand

Lifting her up, she crossed her legs around his waist
Kissing her, the kiss was full of pent up frustration, need and desire

The kiss left Avni panting, he wiped away a tear with the pad of his thumb
"I was jealous"
Avni gulped "of what"

"I hate the way they look at you, I just feel like I'm one of them, running around doing this in secret when I want to show you to the world, show the world that you're mine Avni and I f**king can't"

"Let me show you how you're different "
Neil backed himself until his legs hit the bed
Avni still in his arms

Avni leant down, biting into his neck, he closed his eyes
"I didnt mean to make you cry Avni, im just a very jealous man"
"Its okay I get it"

"No, no you dont, I cant do it anymore Avni"
Rolling her over, he stood up
"Are you breaking up with me"

Time stood still.
Neil had a choice to make, Avni was his everything, but he couldnt watch this anymore and stay quiet.

When Neil looked back at Avni, she had her gun pressed to her temple
"Avni put it down " he shouted

"No, I dont want a life without you, if you walk out that door and leave me Neil, I will shoot"
"Im not breaking up with you, I love you to much to see you with another man, you know that, you're my everything Avni, every breath of mine is for you, every heartbeat calls out for you"

Avni threw the gun down, running into his arms
"Im yours Neil, I always will be, ill do anything just dont leave "

A gun shot was heard, Neil pulled Avni closer
The door swung open, showing Neil's boss.
"You didnt think youd get away with this did you"

"Look Sir I"
"Shut it" Remi shouted
Neil closed his eyes sighing

"Give me the girl and we will forget about all this"
"No"

"No" Remi repeated
"Thats right, no"
"Why not"
Neil raised his gun, the bullet went through Remi's forehead, knocking him to the floor

"How are you gonna explain this" asked Avni
"We're not, the body will be ashes by the morning and we will speak nothing of it"

Avni gulped "We knew we couldnt hide this forever"
Neil nodded, dragging the body outside
He doused bleach on it, then threw a lit lighter onto it

"Good thing we have no neighbours"
Avni shook her head "I cant believe you did that for me"
Neil looked back at Avni quizzicaly
"Theres nothing in this world I wouldn't do for you"
