A bit of a filler episode, but enjoyed it nonetheless!
It seems a lot of people have an issue with the progression of the story (namely on social media!); I must therefore be in the minority, because I'm thoroughly enjoying myself 😆
I wish the writers would delve into the depths of both Neil and Avni's characters. Neil's decision to keep Avni behind bars for her own safety may not have been the best one, but it was the only option he felt he had at that time. If we view things for his perspective, he had many reasons for taking the step he did: Avni's impulsiveness combined with her emotional and mental vulnerability at that point in time, could have led her to making some poor decisions. But the psychological and emotional impact of this on Avni cannot be neglected.
Those emotional wounds he helped to heal have now reopened, as a result of this decision. I want him to think about things from Avni's perspective: the helplessness, anger, disappointment and pain she must felt being locked up for months for a crime she didn't commit, with no contact from her loved ones; the emotional and mental scars that have been left from being labelled as a 'criminal' again, and that too from Neil.
Having said that, Avni's emotions are clouding her judgements. I would have hoped that over the course of the 6 months in jail, she would have had time to reflect and perhaps attempt to understand whether Neil had a reason behind putting her in this position. I did not agree with how quickly she doubted his love for her when she was being arrested, but I do understand how fragile how frame of mind was at that point. I find it difficult to accept that she hasn't once questioned whether Neil had any ulterior motives.
Now that they are both spending time in each other's presence, hopefully they will try and see things from different angles.
The extent of Vidyut's obsession was highlighted today; the photos (some of photos were from Aditi's personal instagram page na?! 😆) and the addition of the 'A' to his tattoo. Karam breathes life into the character, conveying that obsession so perfectly. I have all these scenarios playing in my head of Avni and Vidyut's meeting, and her reaction upon learning of the latter's feelings towards her.
I feel like Ali is being underused again in this track; I'd quite like to see Ali and DD getting more screen time!
