In Defense of Neil and Avni

So there has been a lot of criticism in regards to Neil and Avni's actions, I myself have criticized their plans but they are not entirely wrong which is why I made this post. There have been questions as to how Neil could blindly believe Juhi, but why shouldn't he? I mean Neil has no reason to doubt her character, this was once a woman he loved and there was that one night he does not remember so he cannot come out and judge her. I remember when Juhi overheard Shweta about how she was probably a prostitute at RM, that did not sit well with some fans so how can we expect that of Neil? Neil is giving Juhi the benefit of doubt here, it is only fair.

Next you have Avni, how can she be so calm? How can she accept that Neil has a child out of wedlock? My answer is how can she not? Don't forget Avni is not your typical female lead, she is illegitimate and spent her entire life trying to fight against society's views of that. It would look rather hypocritical on her part to be so judgmental of that fact especially considering Neil accepted her just the way she was, baggage included. Add to that the fact we did see her reaction, remember the hospital scene with Neela? Avni had a newfound respect for Neela because she now sees herself in Neela's shoes she knows this won't be easy, it is difficult but she is ready to stand by her marriage which to me is the biggest reason I do not find her mahaan. What would have annoyed me is if Avni walked away from her marriage and forced Neil to marry Juhi to give Mishti a happy family, here you have Avni secure in her marriage and standing by her husband who has made it more than clear he wants to be with her. The beauty of this pairing is the fact they stand by each other, no matter what hurdle comes their way they become stronger. Neil reinforced in Friday's episode that as long as they are together they can face anything together - that defines their pairing.

So now to what Neil and Avni are doing, the mission to rescue Mishti. I am both for them and against them. For them because Juhi was not lying in regards to how Vidyut can be, Avni has seen first hand how Vidyut treats his own child the only time Mishti ever smiles is when she is with her angel, Avni. You cannot blame Avni for wanting to get her out of there given her own childhood, this is who Avni is don't forget her robin hood days. Now to the reasons I am against Avni and Neil, it is the way they went about it, kidnapping a child is just foolish especially when you add the fact they framed Ragini and hurt their loved ones. Neil and Avni started this mission out smartly but somewhere they became overconfident but I am for it because I want Vidyut to get the upper hand, Neil and Avni are far from perfect nor would I ever want them to be. A show needs drama, it needs suspense and it needs tashan and we will finally get that with Neil and Vidyut. Vidyut and Ragini will be the saviors to this track. I know the Juhi angle is torture but there are some positives to this track and some USPs that should not go unnoticed. Sorry for the long post, just had to get this out there. Bang on post.I agree with u.iam upset bcoz iam avneil shipper.so I cant imagine nything between them.

I totally Agree with Avni's part..
Had it not been Mishti i.e Neil's Daughter(acc to Avni) instead any other little girl in such mess, we know Avni would have Reacted the same way and would be doing the same thing to save her..
Its perfectly normal for Avni to comapre her childhood with Mishty and try to lessen her Pain in any way possible..
The things Avni had faced in childhood, never in her worst dreams, she will want the same fate for any child.. and this child is already special for her coz she is Her Neil's child(again acc to her)..
So Avni's part is understandable.. and more so because she is believing Neil's Beliefe and following him.. the Man who has never wronged her and as u say Stayed by her and Acceped her the way she is baggage included..


But Neil's Behaviour is just so confusing.. I cant relate to him for a while.. Giving benefit of doubt is different and Completely being blindfolded us different.. The Neil we knew back would have never done this.. His character is not like that to raise a questn on Women's diginity esp Juhi whom he knew since long and loved her.. Agree.. But given the situations Questns are bound to arise even to a sensible person who need not to be a Cop..
Even if he didnt have any idea of Vidyut and anything but still Juhi lived in RM for 5 long years.. wasnt that enough to have some doubts..
Like in Past his Heart believed Avni/Ananya.. But he always Searched for truth and proof to concrete his Beliefe.. That was the Neil we Knew..
He could have considered a quick DNA Test atleast..

Agreed to ur each and every word Maddy amwas never against their reaction regarding misthi in fact I loved how they both of have handled it this is the beauty of their relationship ya regarding kidnapping misthi I don't know why they are doing it this way.

@avneil2, I know what you mean we all feel that way which is why we were all upset with that scene between Neil and Juhi but we know what is in Neil's heart. Neil loves Avni, Juhi's return and this child has not changed that. Neil chose Avni and they are working together here, it is something I respect about this pairing. Avni and Neil could have been so easily torn apart but they are working through these hurdles they face, they are fighting for their relationship and that is what love is all about.

@docritu99, Agreed! I feel even if Avni did not believe this was Neil's child she would have helped her, it is hard for your heart not to go out to a child like Mishti. Avni would never let anyone endure what she did as a child, she wants a better life for Mishti.

About Neil, it wouldn't have happened because this is Juhi we're talking about. Neil would never believe that Juhi could be lying to him that too in regards to something as big as having a child together. Neil took Juhi's words for it because he trusts her and it is going to make it all the more painful for him to learn she betrayed that trust and played him for a fool.

I know you used Avni/Ananya as an example but that was early in their relationship v/s how they are now. It is all all about trust.

@appisuri, Neil and Avni are goals as a couple but even they can have their foolish moments. I guess CVs chose to go this route because it paves way for more of a battle between Vidyut and AvNeil. Since this track started it has been in AvNeil's favor, everything has been going their way but things can never run so smoothly there had to be a means for Vidyut to get the upper hand so I feel that is what CVs were trying to do here. I don't agree with it but what's done is done and I just look forward to Neil v/s Vidyut. Karam and Zain are excellent in their roles and then you have Aditi added to the mix, these three manage to stand out in whatever scenes they are in.

Bold - I think I'l take this as A weak Human's behaviour and not the Sensible supercop or a perfect man we knew.. coz lets just face it Neil is also a Human who has his own Flaws and own weakness.. i'l try to make peace with this..

But whenever he comes to know About Juhi's lies he should realise what big mess he has created for not just himself but his own Family Avni and also to Mishty by just one weakness of believing in someone's lie.. then Juhi should Face his Wreth.. Then only it will be justified..
Avni will be the one facing Worst Consequences for all the Mess created by Neil and He should Realise Avni is in trouble because him..

agree with ur post...n I agree too that it's correct that Neil believed juhi becoz he loved her n don't remember anything about that night...n avni too is correct on her place becoz she don't want mishti to live life like her...but the question is that Neil is making big claims that he will give a perfect life to mishti...perfect life for a child means having her father n mother together...if mishti in future ask them that she wants her parents together what he will do then...????N somewhere i know avni feel sad seeing juhi n neil together...in latest olvs where Neil has said.."meri juhi has boiled my blood...i think Neil should stop doing this...
anyway waiting for Neil n vidyut face off when vidyut will have upper hand...but currently not enjoying avneil moments

I can understand why Avni is going out her way to help Mishti and its a good thing.

Both AvNeil are together in this, another good thing.

But sometimes I cant understand this recent Neil. The Neil we knew would investigate and get to the bottom of things. Yes he loved Juhi at some point in his life and she meant to the world to him. But not once did he want to question her about that night, despite knowing he doesn't recall it and most importantly that she's been in RM for 5 years!

Okay i accept it might be awkward to ask your ex about "that night but he's a cop, he's got sources he can further investigate. He went out his way to get Avni and Nanno's hair sample. Why not do this with himself and Mishti??!!

Forgot to mention that in no cicumstance one would like to hurt their family and out them through this torture. Its just unacceptable, but as per OLV seems like family forgave easily.

They've under estimated Vidyut R, he's here to stay longer!!!

Finally i just want Juhi and her bachchi track to end asap.

@docritu99, Yes Neil has his flaws, even for a cop there are going to be times where he screws up. Neil has been trying to do right by everyone and that is respectable but even Neil can have his moments where he doesn't think sensibly.

Neil is going to be so hurt by Juhi's betrayal, she really is proving to be different from how he remembered her.

@ishikakapoor, a perfect life does not always have to mean the parents being together. Neil and Avni have seen first hand what a happy family can be like, look at Avni she was raised by her step mother and got her happy family through her in laws. Neil would never leave Avni nor would he stay with Juhi out of obligation. I don't think things will get that far since we know from Zain and Aditi themselves as well as TC that the truth of Mishti's paternity will soon be revealed.

@-AvniNeil-, again he chose to trust Juhi which is why her betrayal will hurt more. I agree they under estimated Vidyut and I look forward to him getting the upper hand, I am glad he is here for the long run and there is much more than just Mishti to fuel the fire between his feud with Avni and Neil. I am looking forward to their feud and yes Juhi and Mishti's track needs to end soon, hoping the reveal of Mishti really being Vidyut's daughter paves the way for Juhi's exit.


@Ashi_Naksh, Avni got jealous/angry at Neil and Sakshi because he was intentionally flirting with Sakshi and she did not like that. In regards to Neil and Juhi's closeness it did bother her, even though she knew they had to put on an act it did affect her to see Juhi clinging to him but she has immense trust in Neil. Avni is secure in believing Neil would never do to her what Ashish did to both her mothers.

During the RM track when Neil would talk about Juhi we knew what CVs were trying to show, it had nothing to do with Neil still being in love with Juhi it had everything to do with pushing Avni to realize she is in love. The track was a success as a result because it brought Avni and Neil closer than ever, she was his priority in that track it was her he fought to save, it is Avni he chose to spend the rest of his life with.

Onto this track, Neil is just trying to do the right thing by everyone. It is not easy for Neil to have his dead ex show up and claim they have a child together who is in danger, how is one to react? Neil had his world shook and was even ready to have Avni walk away from him once she learned the truth but she stood by his side, both chose to be in this fight together. Avni went to Goa but she was not alone, Neil had eyes on her the entire time and in NK time she was only there for a short time before Neil arrived to be by her side. Neil and Avni have both tried their best to cover their tracks so Vidyut could not learn who she is but their overconfidence has now got the best of them. Neil has slipped up and now the ball is in Vidyut's court, he will get his revenge and that will directly land Avni in danger. Avni is Neil's weakness just like Ragini has been shown to be Vidyut's. Should Neil have known better? Yes, but this is a show and even the perfect Neil Khanna has to be shown making mistakes to have the villains get the upper hand.
