Now let's talk about Neil. Only because (for obvious reasons) he's the center of everyone's attention. We all hear about how he's the ideal hubby, and the perfect gentleman. But the minute he does something we don't like and people complain, then comes posts saying, Neil is not God, he's human etc etc.. I feel some people have fallen in love with Neil so much that they have excuses for whatever he does and empathize with him no matter what! Kind of like how we love our kids. No matter that they do, we find excuses to excuse their faults and love them regardless... I feel the makers make him do certain things that I don't want to see "my hero" doing and try to justify it later- consistently... Like the whole Ali fiasco- every one forgot how he left poor Avni alone to deal with his crazy family when that issue happened and avoided her altogether to come back next day and give a lecture to his family as if they are the only ones at fault for everything. Oh come on...
next- dargah incident- he behaves extremely insensitive to Avni and then a hasty apology and everyone's happy. Oh he apologized!!
Now he will leave her at altar and then they will show him having an excuse and then come back and make up for it later..
there's a trend here that I find difficult to digest. As a woman for one second put yourself in Avni's shoes in one of these incidents and see what you feel.. it's happening again and again... I feel it's extremely unfair to Avni.. no- it's not okay to do anything and make up for it later by apologizing. That is ok once or twice but not time and again...

See we had some of the most intense moments in this track, so let's not forget the positive side f things. OLVs and spoilers as their name suggests are spoiling the mood also when they are not as per fans wishes and even if they are they still spoil the surprise element when something beautiful is about to happen.

I feel people who watch on TV, who don't visit social media sites or forums, nor watch SBS, SBB... are lucky because they will enjoy the tracks and live the suspense in a better way!

Imagine how many beautiful things we had since Avni was kidnapped and even before, Neil's fear for her, her confession when she was talking to Ballu, Neil's scene with Bebe where he expressed his feelings for Avni and his stance with regards to Juhi, we had that maha milan beautiful scene, one of the most intense and passionate milans, then we had Neil held at Gunpoint by Amol and Avni once again expressing what he means to her and then the small details like Neil hurting his hand to prevent her head from hitting that sofa (table..) when DVM pushed her, that fear and concern for her, then when he snatched that gun from her and then again when he trapped DVM and expressed his love for Avni in front of the latter herself, it was not just an expression of love but he also did it in front of the woman who hates Avni most, and stated that she is special and he can do anything for her which DVM never understood thus restoring a little of Avni's self confidence that she is special and can be loved immensely and that what her dadi says is wrong ...We had many beautiful details that I didn't mention, the action scenes though not very elaborate, the rescue plan itself, there were some few nice things there which were entertaining without forgetting the jail scenes and Neil's confrontations with Guruma! So I personally didn't find the track boring, it was rather entertaining, the AvNeil shipper in us would always feel a little bit uneasy with Neil's reactions for Juhi but had it been for example his sister, his brother or some male friend in captivity and Neils showed the concern no one would have bothered, moreover since Avni was kidnapped his focus was mainly on her..

And there are many nice things coming, AvNeil's dance, Neil consoling Avni when she was beside her mom's grave and Avni's proposal! Yet because of spoilers people can't enjoy all these things!

Naj, very well said

The olvs and spoilers are taking away the essence of the show. Right now people should focus on the uniqueness and not on the olvs as we know they do give incomplete information.

So why feel sad which we have not seen for ourselves when we have got such beautiful scenes post leap as you pointed out. Juhi has never been the focus of Neil, never ever he spoke with her as if he has some feelings and watching Juhi's expressions she knows it till now.
I am sorry if I have not properly explained myself. I loved the RP track, its just the upcoming Juhi and her baccha track where Neil is leaving the altar I am uncomfortable with. Poor girl is in so much pain watching her husband rush without any explanation. But I think their is more to it. I will have my patience intact unless I watch it myself😊

@Subiaman

Hi, I hope you are doing well😊

I'm not turning a blind eye to what Neil does, and I had my reservations about many things he did, about his way of dealing with things even during Ali and Avni's fiasco (I used to post in the first EDTs maybe you didn't read those posts), and I didn't like, like everyone here, the way he pushed her hand at the dargah and left her there but then given the circumstances I tried to understand and I never said it's ok for him to leave her at the altar, it's a very big deal this time, something that can't be overlooked easily nor forgiven by just an apology, I told Shonali that he will face the music from us as well if he does it, and more than an apology not repeating the mistake is important, but I can't base my opinion relying on OLVs because many times we were proved wrong and we overreacted on seeing just OLVs while things played differently in the show.

I also told Shonali that they down played Neil's role in this track for the sake of Drama and I also told her that while he is being intense in many of his scenes with Avni I want to see the intensity in all the scenes with her, an intensity which is way stronger than what he shows while expressing his guilt/concern for Juhi.

So many of us are not blind fans, our love for the character Neil Khanna won't let us become oblivious to his flaws, but as I said I need to see the whole thing then decide, and as a woman as well I'm absolutely not ok with him leaving her at the altar to face embarassement and hurt knowing all what she has been through, but I don't want to jump the gun now, I want to see the scene first! When these OLVs were out I felt the same as the fandom but I decided to wait and not comment because I can't comment before knowing the whole facts, what if it's a dream! and if it's not a dream then Neil is answerable for his behavior and this time Avni needs to face him and explain how much it hurt her and be assertive and firm in her stance!

About fans reactions, I said they have all the right to express what they feel, and yes they can make their feedback reach the makers/Cvs but negativity should not be overruling, anyone who visits the forum would get hell depressed at so much negativity!

And I know about the importance of numbers but I for one respect people who respect their vision; I know it's a business as well but a writer should not be compromising to the point of spoiling his vision, then consistency will be lacking and if there is anything I hate then it's inconsistency.

And another thing, personally as any romantic AvNeil shipper, I want Neil's first time to be with Avni and all his babies to be from her only, and I believe it will be the case but yes the possibility of them going with the theme of the show "Naamkaran" crossed my mind as well and seemed logical even if not very pleasant but the bottom line is that I will give them chance, see things unfold and as Shonali said if I don't like the general execution I will voice it out. Feebacks are good but threatnening to quit the show might be depressing to these people who slog day and night, they have given us plenty of entertaining tracks in the past, and while I understand that they should feel the audience's pulse I also feel audience shouldn't be extremely harsh, if you see what is being dished out on indian tv and getting TRPs you would feel that NK actually is a bliss in a world where you get angry abusive heros, lots of kitchen politics and senseless tracks and even appalling tracks where they have kala jaddo and sautans seducing heros...

At the end of the day as you said it's the viewer's call, if they like the show they can watch, if they don't no one will compell them to do it, but I feel if people could give chances to many shows where heros weren't even remotely close to Neil Khanna then at least they can try to watch the track and then decide.

And yes I also hope for convenience or for the sake of drama or suspense, they don't make Neil take the right decision only at the end of tracks and after Avni is hurt, I know he likes to study his decisons first and not jump to conclusions but he needs to give her reassurance. Not carrying with the wedding isn't the problem, the problem is the fact of not explaining things to her aramse and asking for her permission and apologizing to guests in a polite way and then taking her with him to solve whatever problem he has. You can do the same thing but in a much more acceptable way but as I said for drama they are doing that to make Avni again draw comparisons between her dad and Neil Khanna, where at the end Neil Khanna would be proved different from her dad. Nevertheless, CVs should not forget the essence of Neil Khanna's character in the process, they always delay things because they always want Avni to think the worst be it during that Ali Avni track itself where Avni questioned Neil's support and trust on her, or when he left her at her house and was upset when she didn't come back before he finally leaves with her to their condo facing his mom and proving that he will take Avni's side when she is right and face his mom's injustice... So I suppose in this track as well they might play it that way!

Anyways I still have a very tiny hope it's a dream sequence, if it's not I'll deal with it when it comes when I see exactly what happened.

😊

ETA: And yes I still maintain that Neil Khanna is a good human being and all Avni needs to do is to communicate whatever bothers her to him in an assertive way. From what we know about him, he will understand especially since she is absolutely right. And no matter what it's their equation, and it's unique, the honesty and trust in their relationship is something many relationships lack, no one should judge their love for each other and demean what they did for each other, and what they have is worth fighting for!

Let me try to give one point out without sounding preachy!! Not my intention!!

Am I liking that Neil left Avni at the alter? NO!
But do I think its out of his Character ? NO!

Will he get mindful for his actions from me if it is not a dream sequence? YES!
But will I quit the show? NO!

Thats it! And my sheer explanation to this would be Humans have a tendency to take people especially their girl friends/spouses/better half for granted. And as Naj pointed out, Avni has never communicated how it bothers her about the same. In fact , she is always one step ahead of him in helping him and understanding him in this scenario. And hence, Neil can never say that its bothering her.

So as much as (provided its not a dream sequence) Neil will be WRONG in leaving Avni at the alter without any valid explanation (as Naj said), Avni will be very less or somewhat responsible for not speaking up (provided she has not done that already).

And hence, this will be another learning lesson for both Avni and Neil for each other. Neil will know how he will have to somehow control on his extreme reactions about Juhi or at least do something that completely wipes out Avni's insecurity about the situation. And Avni will also learn to communicate more about her feelings. Not just good LOVE feelings but also those feelings that bothers her!!

AvNeil are still growing and this will be another growth for them!!

Again! Just a perspective! Feel free to agree to disagree happily!!

@Shonali

Nevertheless no matter how Neil counts on Avni's understanding, in this particular situation (if he leaves her), he is highly wrong, it's glarring that it would hurt her. In other situations she offered to help, but here he is leaving her during their wedding anniversary at the altar which will lead to her facing embarassement in front of people, how does he expect her to feel?! So yes if I can wonder why she never faces him in other situations and tells him about her insecurities, here it's glarring that he wronged her, it doesn't need any explanation from anyone, all he has to do is rewind the situation in his mind!

I still hope it's a dream though I don't see much what's indicating it, but umeed pe duniya kayam hai! And if it's not I really want to know what was so urgent to make him go from there without explanation!

I ended up commenting a lot 😆 I really didn't want to, to be honest, I wanted to watch the episode first, because I know how one single detail can change the situation and the whole perspective, for me, one should never say never!

@ naj, doing ok! As always love to read your views.. I agree to your points. Hope you understand that I was also trying to show the other side of the coin. And yes, I was not active in the forum during Ali fiasco and missed out on the discussions. After watching the scenes I was left with a bad taste in my mouth with respect to Neil. But as always I ignored it keeping in mind the bigger picture. And Neil afterwards made up for it. Same with dargah scene. But if he keeps doing that let me tell you personally I wouldn't be able to keep loving Neil. So when people say- remember we were proven wrong by CVs about Neil after those incidents, I am like - No, I still don't like his actions and can't excuse him :) but that's me and my views.. I am sure majority of those who are cribbing will be fine after they see Neil making it up by some of his sweet words. That is my major complaint against Neil- he's all words but less actions when it comes to Avni in the Juhi scenario.
@shonali ouch! Seems like there are some raw feelings there! Sorry if I contributed to it! I do disagree with you completely. Regardless of what Avni says/does Neil shouldn't treat her - his wife- like that. No gentleman should do that!!! You don't need to tell your husband that it hurts you when he runs after his ex- no matter what the situation is... even Neil knew it! He said I understand your insecurity and every wife will feel the same way! But he chose to throw caution to the wind when faced with a situation in real life.
Anyway, I know I am a minority here. But like it or not- that's my opinion. I don't have a favorite character. So I view things very pragmatically.

Thank you for this!! It is too early to jump to conclusions about the upcoming track, the CVs deserve a chance to tell their story especially since they have yet to disappoint fans. We know Avni and Neil are endgame, we know this is their story so why not let it be told? Avni and Neil have faced every challenge that has come their way, it has made their bond stronger as a result. This is a couple who are growing and evolving together so whatever this latest track brings, it is only going to make them stronger as a pairing. Neil and Avni are nayi soch. The CVs should not be pressured to change their track, I have seen that in other shows and it ends in disaster! Just give these CVs a chance, let the track unfold and if things don't work out the way you want which I highly doubt then you can rant but for now its completely unfair to rush to judgment.

Naj! 🤗

I couldn't have been more thankful for this post because this perfectly encapsulates my feelings. I know everyone has their POVs and that is perfectly fine. Healthy to encourage that in fact, because that's what gets the discussion going. However, when opinions turn into strong statements inducing negativity in the environment, that's when it starts to get to me. To be completely honest, I actively try to stay away from the forum of late because it just upsets me to see how people are jumping to conclusions without even knowing for sure that the OLVs are true. They could very well be misleading. Not only does it drain my energy, it taints my NK viewing experience because I cannot fully enjoy the episodes, which is SUCH a shame given how we have just had two blockbuster episodes, back to back.

Like I have been saying, let's have faith in the CVs. Mandy mentioned it in a separate thread, and I totally agree with her - Neil's dialogues are definitely foreshadowing what is to come. Gautam Hedge does an impeccable job when it comes to showing such things. We had seen it before, and I am sure we will see it again. A little bit of patience goes a long way. We can be unhappy about the track if and when such things are shown, but till then, let's just try to wait it out. I am sure we wouldn't be disappointed.

Same here, I've only logged in to post my reviews but other than that I've lost interest to post due to all the negativity. I welcome the difference in opinions and passion for the show we have all come to love but the negativity becomes too much even on social media its becoming disheartening to see so much negativity.

I would rather just watch the episodes and enjoy, they've been so good and more than delivered the cast deserves praise for the hard work that is paying off now. Neil's dialogues like always are foreshadowing what is to come, he is not a man with empty promises nor is his love for Avni going to suddenly diminish. This is Neil and Avni's story, it is about how they evolve and come closer. This is not about Juhi, never was and never will be. Juhi is just a catalyst, that is it.
