It was Avni, Avni and Avni all the way. I just cannot explain how elated I was after watching today's episode. Not only it was fast paced, but it also imparted an important lesson. Don't mess with a woman - if she is a protector then she can also become a destroyer. And today's episode was dedicated to women.
Shweta - Right from the beginning she hated Avni and made sure to make the life of her daughter - in - law a living hell but today, today it was the same Shweta worrying about Avni and Tillu - not Tillu and Avni. And she didn't dare to think that Neil would not reach there in time. "Ye Avni bhi na... kyun khud ki jaan khatre me daal rahi hai Juhi ke liye. Agar Tillu waqt par nahi pahuncha to? Nahi nahi... aisa sochna bhi nahi chahye." This spoke volumes about how much Shweta has changed. And the tigress in her rears up at the thought of her children being in danger. She straight away goes to the commissioner and convinces him to help them out thereby leaving no chance for the DGP to say anything. The way she threatens them about going to the media if she doesn't find those two women in jail was just mindblowing. This is what a mother's love can do and she proved it today. For once, I am proud of Shweta and I really do hope that she remains that way - a staunch AvNeil supporter. On a side note, if Shweta and Neela join hands I don't know what AvNeil would do.😉 Bebe has always screamed and ranted and scolded Shweta but truth is that Shweta uses her brain whenever she is at crossraods. Previously she always used it for harassing Avni but today she used it for saving her children.
Neela - though she was not there in the episode but she is a glaring example of a mother's love and power. Much has been said about Neela before so I will just skip it here, but I would like to reiterate this - Neela is the best example of what a mother can be. She doesn't wait for somebody to rescue her daughter, she takes it upon herslef to fight for her daughter's happiness, safety and security and I love her for that.
Coming to Avni - she was the star of today's episode. She changed the entire game with a single stroke. I had said it yesterday that Avni thinks on her feet and she took it to another level today. So beautifully and masterfully she handled Ragini Pandit that she left that monster of a woman literally shaking in her boot. "Ragini Pandit ki paap ki lanka to Sita ke haathon hi khatam honi thi. Aur ye Sita kisi hanuman ke bharose nahi baithi thi... isne khud hi Lanka ko jalane ka faisla kar loya hai."
And then enters Amol... I had been waiting for her. And he holds Neil - the Love of her Life hostage. And there he goes wrong. Love has great power, it gives you strength, it gives your power, it gives you the capacity to fight back. And a woman can go to any length to save her Love. And Avni did just that. Long back, when it was revealed that Amol had been working for Dayavanti I had been talking to a friend and I remember I had told her... "If one day Avni comes to know that Amol is the one who had tried to kill Neil, she will kill her brother without a moment's hesitation." And today, I stand vindicated.

Ye Amol hai ya Aman kuch nahi sochungi aaj. Kyunki jo mere saamne hai wo sirf aur sirf ek kalank hai. Aaj agar Maa zinda hoti to wo bahut pachtati ki usne ek aise bete ko janm diya hai jisne apni ye behen ko sare aam bikne ke liye khada kar diya. Bhai aur behen ke rishte par kalank lagaya hai isne. Yahan tak ki apne hi behen ke suhaag ko ujaadne ki koshish ki. Par ab aur nai... agar Neil ko ek kharonch bhi aayi na to mai tujhe yahin jaan se maar dungi."
She didn't scream, she didn't shout - she said it with conviction, with a heart which had shattered into a million pieces after seeing this betrayal by her brother - the brother for whom she had come back. The brother for whom she had suffered every humiliation, every pain, but had believed in his inherent goodness of heart; the brother who made a mockery of every emotion that she had ever felt for him - she stood there and still tried to give him one last chance. She did say that don't call me your sister but she still tried to make him see reason, but he threatened her love, her life. And that was the limit for Avni.
"Lekin aaj mai hi tere maut ka karan banungi... bina jhijke goli chala dungi aaj."
We have always seen this aspect of Neil's personality. He not only speaks his heart out but he also shows it in his actions. He has always made it clear what Avni means for him, to what length he can go to save and protect her. And Avni though never said it this explicitly, yet her actions always told him that Avni could go to any lengths to protect him and that is why he always tried to keep her away from such situations where she would be forced to do something to save him.
Even though stuck, Neil's only concern is to stop Avni from turning into a murderer. He tries to stop her, tries to make her see reason but Avni's words leave him dumbstruck.
"Haan Neil... Mai khooni nahi hun par ban sakti hun.Ab mai kisi ko bhi apni zindagi chhinne nahi dungi mujhse. Sab kuch kho diya maine Neil... Lekin ab mai tumhe nahi kho sakti.
<3 (Zain expressions... Neil's reaction. That gulp... <3 ) Isliye ab behtar yahi hoga ki inn sabko mai aaj mita daalun."For a person like Avni who has always shied away from expressing the softer emotions, this was literally a screaming confession. Neil heard it and understood it. His eyes and his expressions spoke volumes. Zain is really The Expression King. There is no other word for him.
And when Dayavanti pushes her and Neil tries to save her and bends down, the man is literally shaking. And her parting filled with his blood was symbolic (Though this concept has been used in every serial, yet it was beautiful to see here) Avni and Neil's expressions was worth every wait and Neil was just so happy to see the blood in her parting. It was as if destiny itself was telling him Avni was his and he had every right on his wife. His Wifey. I am dying to hear Neil call her WIFEY.
Special mention for Juhi when Avni was proclaiming her feelings - Did I just feel it or was Juhi jealous?
Avni runs behind Dayavanti and Amol and Ali forces Neil to go behind her, taking over every responsibility from him like a true friend. And when Neil finally finds Avni, he takes the gun from her and asks her to promise him that she wouldn't kill anyone even if his life was in danger.
"Avni wo log aise bahar nahi aayenge... mujhse promise karo please... tum kanoon ko apne hath me nahi logi. Wada karo mujhse... mere liye bhi nahi. Avni wada karo."
I am glad she didn't promise. 😆 😉
And Neil's masterstroke in telling Dayavanti that Amol was on their side all along. Divide and Rule policy. Biwi ser hai to pati sawa ser hai. I think this is where Amol would get to witness the real face of his Dadi and probably will turn against her. Or maybe he was against her this whole time. (Highly unlikely, I know but a person can hope.)
All in all this episode was totally Avni and I loved every bit of it. Hats of to Aditi for this fantastic portrayal. The way a single drop of tear trickled down her eyes at intervals totally broke my heart. Yesterday I had said that Zain Imam - Take a Bow and today I say Aditi Rathore - Take a Bow...!!!
As my friend said - Aaj Avni ne Khidkitod performance di hai.
PS: I didn't like Ragini Pandit's and Juhi's tashanbaji. It didn't suit them. They should leave the Tashanbaji to Neil and Avni.
