New Avnil FF: TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

dear friends,

i know it has been may years since i have written a fan fiction. and i know that all of you have been waiting and requesting me to write a new one. so here it is. and FF based on the characters of serial Naamkaran Avni and Neil

i must say and accept that i have borrowed heavily from the seiral Naamkaran's already aired episodes and the plot. but this FF is about what happens after Avni has had her revenge and will mostly focus mainly on Neil and Avni's budding relationship and factors surrounding them. i may introduce new characters if needed to take my story forward and those will be of my own creation. any resemblance to the serials plot hence forth would be purely coincidental.

please note that the serial has not aired the episode of Dayawanti's arrest, and my story starts after that. and i have posted it first. it is not a part of the serial and i have no idea how the serial will progress hence forth. and any similarities would only be coincidental.

anyways i hope you enjoy this new AvNeil ff

TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

Chapter 1

The night was dark, as dark as ever. For some reason it seemed to have a brooding gloom about it, that left him anxious. Nothing mattered to him more then seeing her face, knowing she was alright.

It had been a busy night, the arrested had been made, the proof's compiled, reports made, everything had to be perfect so that there would be no room for error. Yet a lot still had to be done. He had sent her away; she had been though too much for the past couple of days. And he knew that she need time to pull herself back together again. He just could not imagine what she must be going through. He wanted desperately to be with her, talk to her, hold her in him arms and reassure her that she would be alright.

He cursed damn! Hell damn!', as he thought of his family, he had to explain to them about what had been going on. Who Annaya really was and what was his role in this whole fresco.

The truth about the arrest of the Metha family members was all over the news. He had done everything to keep the reasons for their arrests out of the news for a day or to. He didn't want it to turn into a big circus but he also needed time to talk to his family.

He had send Avni to Neela maa's, she would get the comfort and compassion she needed over there. But he so badly wanted to be with her. As he drove into his driveway; bringing his jeep to a stop. First things first.' He thought taking a deep breath, he hopped out of he vehicle and squared his shoulders and walked into his house where he knew his family was waiting anxiously for him.

"TILU! Exclaimed his mother as she hurried towards him. "I demand to know what is going on. Why have the police arrested Dayawanti Metha? I know you would not have anything to do with it.

"Mom, calm down

"Shweta, let our son catch his breath first, offer him some water. Before drowning him with your questions. Said Neil's father.

"Yes, all the time she is riding on some express train. Bebe remarked with sarcasm, waving Shweta towards the dining area and the jug of water.

Bebe turned to Neil, "Beta we saw some disturbing news on TV, I do not understand what is going on, I know that Dayawanti woman was bad news when she came to our house claiming that my bahu was some girl named Avni.

Neil covered her hands gently and led her to the some, sitting her down. Shweta arrived with a glass of water which Neil took from her and placed it on the side table. "Bebe, what Dayawanti Metha said was true

Shweta pounced on this information, "See! I told you all that his Annaya was not a good girl, she is an imposter, a liar, she must have come here to rob us. She gasped.

"Mom it's nothing like that. He turned towards his grandmother, "Bebe you know me, I would never take the side of a person who was wrong. And what Annaya did was for a reason, and I supported her fully.

"Neil? Bebe looked at him confused.

"Annaya is really Avni Ayesha Metha.

Bebe gasped, "That illegitimate daughter of that director, what was his name? she exclaimed in horror

"Ashish Metha. Said Mr. Khanna.

"Oh god, you are married to
Dayawanti's illegitimate granddaughter, why?

"Oh my gods, that girl has coned us, she is of questionable character, we can't have her in this house. Her mother a mistress, her family criminals. What must she be? Chimed in Shweta hoping to make most of the situation, that might help her get rid of Avni once and for all.

"That's enough mom. Said Neil sharply with steel in his voice. "I will not listen to a word against Avni.

Shweta wailed, "Look now Bebe, he is yelling at this dear mother for that crook of a girl. Holding her head in her hands, "I tell you she has done black magic on my lovely son.

An aspirated Neil calmly said, "Mom its nothing like that, Avni is a good girl who has seen very difficult times. Please let me explain the matter to you all.

"No one will say a word till Neil has finished explaining. Bebe said sternly.

Neil took his time explaining everything about Avni and Dayawanti in detail, he left out nothing, he told them how Dayawanti murdered Agni's parents, the trail of destruction she had left in young Avni's life, Neela's support of Avni, the murder of Neela's father Hemant Bhai by Diksha. Avni quest for justice that was routed at every turn by Dayawanti's power and money.

His small audience listened to the gory tale with shock and horror, when he told them how Dayawanti hunted down and shot a 12 year old Avni in the chest, Bebe could not control her horror she clutched her bosom as tears rolled down her cheeks. Shweta looked reasonably mortified and sympathetic, though being a simple and single minded woman she still resented Avni, and the importance she was getting. Mr. Khanna fumed with anger and revulsion that he had respected and looked up to Dayawanti for so many years, not knowing what kind of woman she truly was.

Neil ended the tale with how Dayawanti had kidnapped Avni, and tried to kill her once again, "In her pride and ego, believing she would forever be rid of Avni Dayawanti boasted of all her crimes, and how she would get away with them.

Neil took Bebe's hand in his, "Bebe do you think what Avni did was wrong.

Bebe's hands shook with emotion, she reached out for the glass of water and drank deeply, taking a deep breath to steady her emotions, "NO. she shook her head, "No, Ann.. Avni, what Avni did was exactly right.

"But Bebe? Interjected Shweta.

Bebe raised her hand booking no argument, "and Neil was totally right in supporting her. She shuddered, "what is unbelievable and unacceptable is what that Dayawanti did, how could any woman be so cruel to her own children? Her own grand daughter? Her own blood? And for what some misplaced sense of honor.

Mr. Khanna paced up and down, "that she could shoot a child, an innocent 12 year old child. He said in disgust, "aha! To think that I respected her and looked up to her as an ideal and righteous woman. I feel sullied by the association.

"Dad you could not have known, she and her family fooled everyone. The law, the society everyone. Neil reassured his father.

"I am glad you didn't marry into that family. I thank Avni for intervening and sparring us that unpleasant fate.

"But dear! Avni is illegitimate! How can we consider her as our daughter in law? Interjected Shweta

Mr. Khanna rounder on her furious, "Really Shweta, after all that you have heard you think this way. Avni is not illegitimate, no child is born illegitimate, it is the parent and family who do not acknowledge this gift of god who is illegitimate. Not the child. He reasoned heatedly.

Satisfactorily chastised Shweta kept her mouth shut. Neil looked at his father with pride, he was glad his father was a kind man with a big heart and progressive thinking. He was blessed to have that kind of guidance from such elders as his father and grandmother who have given him the values of fairness and compassion, the understanding of what is right and what is wrong. This always helped him greatly to make the right decisions. His sense of fairness and justice made him a better office of the law. He knew that his mother was a kind hearted woman, but was a little possessive and selfish when it came to him. But once she got to know just how selfless and caring Avni really was he knew she would love her too.

"Neil where is Avni. Bebe inquired with concern.

"She is at her mother's house, I felt she needed to be with people who knew what she had been through, I didn't want her to have to face your inquiries before I had the time to first explain everything to you all myself. He rubbed his forehead exhaustion catching up with him.

"Bheema, get a cup of tea, quickly, Shweta call out to the maid concern for her son lacing her voice.

"No maa, I have to go to Avni. He got up quickly.

Bebe caught his hand, "beta bring her home, I want to see her in front of me safe and sound.

Neil smiled lovingly at her, grateful for her quick understanding; his father assured him that if he needed anything he would be quick to help. With the reassurance of most of his family members Neil hurried out the door.
