randomly thought about this at 5am and thought i'd analyze more here with you guys. i know we complain a lot about bani, i have several times. we keep wondering why she behaves the way she does with him, why she doesn't just melt. at the same time, we're like why does veer keep going behind her? why doesn't he just leave her and let her come after him. but when we really think about it, in normal itv shows, we have the male lead act exactly like bani and we have female leads do what veer does. we never really complain then because we're used to that. we're used to a male lead that tadpao's the wife and we're used to the wife running around making him love her like veer does. but the total opposite has been shown here, bani is our male lead. she's the one who shows attitude and she's the one who flip flops every two days like we've seen other male leads do. veer on the other hand is our female lead, he is calm and level headed. he understands that he needs to deal with her the way he does by just giving her that love constantly. he knows that eventually she'll melt but he has to keep at it. that's what we see in every show na? but i guess because we've never really seen the male/female lead switch it's weird for us here to digest veer running after her and bani not melting. but i'd say, at least for the first time, we're getting a male lead run after the female lead and not the other way around. for once, the guy loves the girl more. it feels as if the girl is more in love usually, she's more worried about the weight of her sindoor and mangalsutra but in this case, we saw veer do the honors, he was more worried about it than bani. she didn't take the marriage seriously initially but he did, if we flip the genders, that's how a lot of shows start off, right? i think when the role reversal set in to my mind, i stopped being annoyed over bani because she's just doing the usual male lead stuff. what do you guys think?
Naina, why did you stay awake at 5 a.m.? 😳 I know you like Vani a lot. However, Vani doesn't exist in reality and you do. You are a real human being. Yes, we get emotionally attached to characters and couples when we watch movies and tv shows. I understand that well. Still, emotional attachment to fictional characters shouldn't affect our health. Take care of yourself.
Bani:
The makers should have shown more shades of her character. Her leadership skills were never shown even though she is the leader of her clan. Her feelings for other serpents were not shown as well. A great leader should be empathic towards the followers. She thought about protecting serpents only once. Ultimately, several serpents died because of the bomb blast and she didn't try to prevent their deaths. She never protected other shape-shifting serpents ferociously in the show. There is nothing wrong about having the characteristics of a male lead. I prefer to see strong female leads. However, she should have shown as a more intelligent creature because of her rank (Sarvashreth Adi Naagin).
