I enjoyed reading this review. I agree with some of your points. 😊 I'm writing those points.
1) Confrontation scenes- Bani and Jay confrontation scenes were good. But Bani's realisation about Jay happened abruptly on Saturday.
2) Tapish and Meera- I support the idea of Tapish and Meera's marriage. But I agree that the makers need to build the chemistry and they will have to work on Tapish's charactisation in order to do that. Some people think they are not suitable for each other and the reason is probably Tapish's poor characterisation. I don't think Meera is more intelligent than Tapish. It's just that the makers do not show different aspects of his character. So, we don't really know much about him.
3) Sharma Twins- I completely agree with you! These characters have nothing to do and they need to go.
4) Real Markat- Yes, I am looking forward to the revelation of real Markat as well. Real Markat can be the main villain of the season! But the makers should do justice to his characterisation, dialogues, story, background music, etc.
5) Tracks- You are right. They are various tracks that they need to explore.
My thoughts:
Both of the episodes did not seem very exciting to me. I didn't like Chandrakala/fake Markat's makeup (half-burnt face) because it was not convincing at all. I told you about it in a different post. I think the makers shouldn't have come up with the idea showing a half-burnt face if they didn't have resources to do it realistically. I watch an American horror show named, ''The Walking Dead''. One of the antagonists of that show had half-burnt face and his face looked totally different from Chandrakala's face. The name of that character is Dwight. You can search 'Dwight in the Walking Dead' on Google to understand what I am talking about. Behir's music was used on Vani and Sumitra's music was used on Chandrakala. This is very disappointing as well! This new villain should have her own background music. I also do not understand why they played 'dakini, dakini' song on both Sumitra (a shape-shifting serpent) and Chandrakala (a hybrid creature) because dakini is a completely different supernatural creature. As far as Bani's tandav is concerned, I personally think it is overused. I respect your view but in my opinion, something else could have been shown this time. Whenever a naagin faces a problem or searches answers to her questions she dances in front of Lord Shiva. I liked how Bani and Veeranshu worked as a team for the first time.
