Majority of articles are saying he will be romancing Surbhi and even Dheeraj confirmed the same so I feel it's true.

Let's see how this goes.

I must really commend the CVs on this. I was expecting filler episodes and dragging and was willing to accept it if it meant no compromise on the long term plot. But this was smart of the makers to incorporate Dheeraj to utilize Sharad's absence.

Dheeraj played Aakesh brilliantly and having watched him play Karan in KDB, he managed to really impress me. Even if he does romance Surbhi for some time, I hope the maker make it "logical" (as per supernatural show standards) and convincing. Given that they probably wont have him play Veer, even temporarily, I honestly don't mind it at all and am actually looking forward to it.

Really excited to see what this track brings to the table!

This is a fantastic plan by the makers. To bring akeshs back story to give a start to the vaani story is just a genius way to keep the plot as is for sharads return. I loved dheeraj as akesh so looking forward to the next few episodes. A request to all folks, pleasr watch on tv in india. Sharad surbhi and the entire crew deserve the highest level of appreciation for the good work they are doing. Please do not let petty fandom fights derail our love for the show. This season is the best so far in my opinion story and performance wise.

They could show that bani travels to the past (I know sounds really far-fetched put it's possible still in supernatural world) and through that they show aakesh background story which bani will witness, but bani may not be actually able to interact with him (like in harry potter and chamber of secrets when harry is drawn into tom riddle's past via tom's diary but can't actually interact with tom or anyone or change things in the past and only witness what happened)?

Haven't watched Harry Potter but I get the gist. This would make sense in the story's context. It could also be how Bani finds out more about Hriday and has an insight into his greed and love for power, authority. She could even be seeing this through a third person lens or maybe even be there in person somehow. They could really make this work and have it contribute to the plot too.

He is not a new actor. He played the role of cheel in Satya Yug and his character's name was Aakesh. Veer is the reincarnation of Aakesh in Kali Yug. So, Dheeraj will play the same character, Aakesh. I think some scenes from Satya Yug will be shown. Sharad will come back after recovery.

The show began in a different timeline i.e. Satyug. So the actor (Dheeraj Dhoopar) who played the role of the Cheel (Aakesh) in Satyug, will be back temporarily so that the story moves forward & when Sharad Malhotra recovers fully, he will be back as Veeranshu Singhania i.e. the Cheel of Kalyug.
